You could call me a Grinch. But instead of green fur, I grew a beard and a brooding attitude.Sure, I’ve got a chip on my shoulder — but we all have our issues.I live in the woods. Alone. That’s the way I like it.Until this December. When Maple St. Claire knocks on my cabin door and everything changes.I may be a grump, but I’m a sucker for sweet things. And this girl? I’ve been in love with her … girl? I’ve been in love with her since I was six years old.
It’s the season for miracles and maybe just this once I’ll get the present I’ve wanted all my life:
Maple St. Claire in my arms under the mistletoe.
Dear Reader,
It’s Christmas and I was feeling generous… so I gave you not one, but two virgins.
That’s right, this filthy-sweet romance features an alpha hero who is saving himself for his one and only… and a sweet as sugar heroine who’s been dreaming of this moment all her life.
They’re both about to get a really good Christmas gift!

I was granted, via B00|{$P®0UT, an ARC of Frankie Love’s “Home Is Where The Beard Is: A Heartfelt, High-Heat, Mountain Man, Holiday Romance.” I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
1:Hate IT! Didn’t finish; usually only given if/when some contents truly objectionable (i.e. main characters does something awful & gets away w/it!)
2:Don’t like IT! Rating means I felt the writing was poor, editing was bad, I don’t care for characters, or book had some major flaw.
3: I like IT, BUT! There are minor issues… Rating means there’s editing issues, needs character development, is too unrealistic, or has issues– I do not consider it an overall bad rating.
4:I like IT a lot. Great, Solid Story w/ few if any inconsistencies or errors. This is a HIGH Rating, & I rarely give OUT a Higher Rating.
5: I LOVE IT! It’s Spectacular, & I’ll read IT Over & Over Again. Few books Receive this rating from me. HowEver, those that DO become Classics.
3.5 stars – Filson maybe gruff but he says and does things that really make the heart melt, especially when it comes to Maple. They have plenty of challenges but find a way in this steamy holiday themed novella. There are three epilogues, one, five, and ten years out, that kept the fires burning.
I liked the story but as much as I liked the overall plot of the story, it isn’t amongst my favorite novellas from Love. Maple keeps way too much to herself, which goes against the training she received when getting a degree in public relations. There were a few other small things but that one caught me the most.
This is a well-written story of two loves saving themselves for their true love. These well-crafted characters have strength and sass and have to work through a misunderstanding. This is a must read story

A really entertaining book about a reclusive mountain man and the women he has loved and saved himself for since they were 6 years old..
Filson never thought he was good enough for Maple but when she shows up at his cabin asking for his help he realises that Maple has feelings for himtoo….. and thats the short version without the drama, and misunderstandings …i highly recommend this book to all…

Filson Barre embraces his Grinch persona and embraces his solitude up in the mountains with his dog. Maple St. Claire shows up at Filson’s cabin wanting to ask Filson to help her fix up her grandmother’s house. Filson and Maple have loved each other since they were children but thought the other didn’t feel the same way. Will Filson and Maple confess their true feelings for each other? How will Filson react when he learns that Maple intends to sell her grandmother’s house? Will Maple tell Filson the extent of her financial problems? Will Filson and Maple learn to trust each other? Will Filson find a way to help Maple keep her grandmother’s house and soup kitchen? Will Filson and Maple find their happily ever after? I absolutely loved Filson and Maple, and their chemistry is HOT! Home Is Where The Beard Is by Frankie Love is fantastic. Frankie Love is a MUST read author who weaves a great story with amazing characters. Home Is Where The Beard Is a sweet, romantic book with some trust issues, miscommunication, hot sex, humor, and lots of love. I would definitely recommend getting Home Is Where The Beard Is by Frankie Love.

But Filson is from the wrong side of the tracks so he never felt he was worth enough for Maple. Now Maple needs help getting her house in order so she can sell quickly and she turns to the one person she trusts the most. Can 2 small town friends become more? You have to read this sweet story to find out!

Even the Grinch can find love, just ask Filson! He and Maple get a second chance in this holiday romance. I felt the vibes and the emotions of these two. It was a little bit rushed, but they already had a past, and misunderstandings kept them apart when they should have been together all along. It was sweet but oh so sexy all the same!
LovedLoved ok the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Two childhood friends since they were six years old went their separate ways. Filson lives on the mountain when Maple knocked on his door asking for help with her grabrothers house. Gives you a warm fuzzy feeling, the love they .

Sugary sweet but not filling
*** 3 1/2 *** Stars
Home Is Where The Beard Is reminded me of a Hallmark holiday movie of the week. It is sweet, sugary, and super cute with a little angst and a cute couple that have a few hurdles to get over in order to be together. I will admit I really am a Christmas fanatic and love to read themed stories. The story of Filson and Maple was like cotton candy to me………..looks great and tastes spectacular while it melts in your mouth but leaves you empty and wanting more. For me this story could have had a lot more depth to their relationship and what about their history together to make it a more filling story. But don’t get me wrong as it is still a great way to spend an afternoon.

An enjoyable, fast pace, and steamy holiday romance! The characters are likeable with intense and off the charts chemistry between them. It is a well written, well developed, emotionally deep, and engaging page turner that moves at a brisk pace with many twists and turns and will leave you wanting more. Definitely recommended!

A light, feel good, sexy read. I really liked Filson and Maple. The characters were well written, really compelling, and surprise, virgins. I kinda like that they saved themselves for each other. Sweet in a steamy sorta way. I enjoyed this read.

Filson and Maple have known each other since they were children and as they grew up they always wanted to be more than just friends but never told the other about how they felt. I loved that both Filson and Maple have saved themselves for the other. This is a sweet, second chance at love, holiday love story filled with drama, angst, humor, romance and a perfect HEA.
Maple and Filson are both virgins who had feelings for each other when they were younger. I am glad that when they get another chance they are able to work everything out and have a happy ending. I enjoyed that they were both virgins and both had feelings for each other when they were younger.
