Ollie has always known he’s adopted, but he had no idea he was a freak. Imagine the shock he got when he found out he’s not quite human… The only thing he can think to do is run before the only family he’s ever known discovers his secret, and toss him aside like the woman that birthed him. As if finding out you’re a four-legged creature that howls isn’t bad enough, someone’s snatched him and is … enough, someone’s snatched him and is holding him captive.
Ollie is terrified and losing hope, and has no idea if he’s ever going to see his family again. Until he hears a voice in his head that promises him he’s safe.
Ronin is a man on a mission. As a former soldier, he’s used to saving people and dangerous situations. He’s off to track down the person that hurt his twins mate, and the last thing he’s looking for is someone for himself. However, fate has a funny way of intervening.
Ollie is everything he never knew he was looking for. Ronin is the intense alpha Ollie finds himself drawn to. Both discover they need each other before they even meet.
Can Ronin keep his mate safe, or will he lose Ollie before they even have a chance to enjoy forever?
This is not a standalone but continues from the events of Safe in His Arms.

Home in His Arms by author Skye R. Richmond is the second book in the Wildwood Mates series. I love this series! You do not have to read it in order. Full of love, and character connections. I love a romantic book and for me, this one is that. This story is told in dual POV which is really helpful in this book.
Ronin and Ollie have a very interesting path to their true love. Ronin or Ro is setting up and work exchange program for Omegas to meet their Alphas. He has not found his one yet, but he knows deep down they are out there. He just has to be patient. He is a kind and loyal friend as well.
Ollie has no clue of who or what he really is. He was adopted that much he does know. When he is captured, he is terrified. But lucky for him, Ro is there to help.
I love this story so much emotional pull, ahh I love stories like this. MM paranormal are my favorite genre. I was not disappointed in this story at all. I cannot wait for more. I just adored this one so much.
Five Shooting Stars
There is nothing I love more than when fated mates find each other and try to make sense of what their feeling. Ollie had no clue he was a wolf and ends up in a dire situation with other omegas but when Ronin decides to catch up with old friends instead of attend a meeting his whole world changes. While to some it may be predictable i love how they found each other and the dramatic ending, it gave us a little bit of action and showcased how protective Ronin was while introducing his old teammates more. I loved how easy it was to wrap up the baddies and save the omegas it doesn’t always need to be a big old drawn out production. The ending with Devon from book 1 was fabulous and I really enjoyed seeing further plots and stories play out.
I absolutely adore where this series is going. In this book we got a lot of resolution as to things that were going on in the previous book, but were also introduced to a whole host of characters that will hopefully keep this series going for a while yet. I really liked both Ronin and Ollie, and thought they were yet another interesting fated mates tale. Like with most fated mates stories, this was definitely a case of instantly knowing they were in love, but for me it worked with how Richmond has set up this world. There was action, intrigue, some steamy scenes, and a set up for more books to come with characters I can’t wait to get to know better
This is the second in the Wildwood series. Ronin is sent in to help a group of Omegas, not realizing one of them is Oliver, his mate. I liked the first one a little better, this one is still a good story. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received.
While rescuing stolen omegas you find your mate. Can you keep him safe?
What a stunning second book in the Wildwood Mates series! The action is fast paced. The characters come alive, pulling you into their lives and not letting you go. This segment follows Ronin as he finds his mate, Ollie. When Ronin helps rescue imprisoned omegas he isn’t expecting to find his mate. But find him he does. Ollie is new to his fur, newly omega, and terrified. But in Ronin’s arms he is safe; he is home. HEA is assured. The journey is full of surprises and a kidnapping. Don’t worry, the bad guys get what’s coming to them. Yes, there is a baby & pregnancies. And I believe the next book has been set up. I can’t wait! You are gonna love this book. Get. It. Now! You will be glad you did.
Triggers: unseen abuse & rape, trafficking, kidnapping. I was not offended, the subjects were treated with respect & compassion.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
After reading “Safe in his arms“, the prequel for this story, I was waiting for the continuation in this amazing series. The plot is interesting and full of action and even if they are some triggers and situations that make me cry a little, at the end all finish well. The MCs found their fated mates in difficult circumstances but as always, love gave them hope. Again, hot scenes and Mpreg helps to create a wonderful HEA. The book profiled future books with other great characters so I can’t wait for more. Great reading!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
A great continuation of the story from book 1. A group of characters that promises more fun to come, two endaring MCs and lots of love given around. This is a great shifters / fated mates story and a VERY promising series. Bring on the next one!
