Until next time… Happy Reading!
I absolutely love this series. This book has all the feels, is funny, smart, sexy, romantic and entertaining. Zoey and Ryan’s characters are realistic and draw the reader into the story. The secondary characters are also well developed and I hope several of them will have their own books in the series. Highly recommend.

Loved this read that continues Odette’s hockey series.
Ryan Parker is 25, plays hockey, is used to women falling all over him and is in need of an assistant. He lacks any computer skills.
Zebenia “Zoey” Petrik is 20, homeless, a computer whiz and more of a goth/rocker chic. She’s so not into hockey players and has a strong sense of self preservation (with good reason).
Zoey helps Parker our in a coffee shop one day and causes her to miss getting into a shelter before the closed for the night. He takes her home and she leaves in the morning.
That should be the end of it. But when Zoey ends up in the hospital, it’s Ryan they call.
Complicated.
How can he help her get back on her feet?
And when a photo she takes of Ryan goes viral….
Can they ever be true equals?
Can Zoey become an accountant.
I really liked Ryan. And Zoey.
You root for both of them.

What a heartwarming romance this was. Ryan and Zoey met by complete chance at a cafe. Ryan was struggling with computer work and Zoey ended up helping him. In doing so, she missed her opening at the shelter. She was homeless. Ryan felt bad it was his fault, so he let her crash at his place for the night. When leaving the next day, he gave her his card to use if she ever needed anything. Neither of them expected that the card would ever be used. But it was and thus started the whirlwind friendship between Ryan and Zoe. I loved how they developed as a couple. I loved this was a dual POV. We get a glimpse of some other hockey players in this book. And the secondary characters are great. Another great story in this hockey series.
This is one of my favorite books by Odette. I love the way she develops the characters. Zoey is vulnerable but street smart and Ryan is such a relief from the “leading man needs to be a jerk” themes we see in a lot of the newer romance books. I loved how they didn’t immediately lust after each other, and how the slow build of sexual tension is turned up to max far enough into the story that it’s believable, but soon enough that you aren’t starting to wonder if they will ever figure it out! Well written Odette!
Love this author and this book. Love Ryan. He is so hot and sweet and the ultimate book boyfriend. Their relationship was adorable. And I loved how honorable he was trying to be. I just wished they communicated sooner or better. They belonged together.
From the first page, Ryan is struggling to fit into his new hometown after recently being traded to the Vancouver Wolves he finds himself trying to piece his life together when he meets Zoey in a coffee shop. Zoey who has not had the best of luck from life and finds herself reaching out to help the frustrated stranger with his work. After a couple of mishaps, she finds herself needing more help from the handsome stranger and though a series of events finds herself living with the up and coming hockey star.
As they get to know one another more and more the feelings start to grow and the lines get blurred from Roommate to more and after a huge misunderstanding, she finds herself trying to learn who she is and what she wants while Ryan realizes he may have just lost the best thing that ever happened to him.
This story will make you laugh out loud as well as rip your heart out but in the end, the HEA of this story is one worth the entire ride. I wish it was longer and their story would continue on and on and on. I cannot wait for the next book in the series. This author is worth every minute and you cannot put this book down once you start. I highly recommend if you want something sweet, spicy, sexy, and funny. A must-read for anyone looking for their HEA.
I have been binge reading this series since I first discovered it last night and I haven’t stopped. This second book was a wonderful addition in the sports genre. Ryan’s character is so swoon worthy that you can’t help but fall in love with his sweetness, generosity and how he falls hard for Zoey. Their chemistry was so cute and watching them blossom together was so heart warming. I enjoyed the well written storyline and the likable characters that made for an entertaining romance story from start to finish. Can’t wait from more of this series that gets better and better.
Oh my goodness!! This had to be one of the sweetest books I have read in awhile! Home Game was the second book in Odette’s Vancouver Wolves Hockey series. It was full of second chances and personal growth.
Circumstances beyond Zoey’s control left her living on the streets. She happened to be in the right place at the right time but how long could the fairy tale last?
When Ryan found Zoey was living in shelters he tried the best to help her. When her situation went from bad, to worse; he was there again. He felt the need to protect Zoey, but she was always on guard. Would she finally let him in or would her past come between them again?
Ryan!! He was one of the good ones, we need more guys like him in the world. I know this was fiction and real life can’t compare, but it made me think of how many people would do what he did? It was a beautiful story! A slow burn that made me have all the feels!
Loved, Loved, Loved This Story!!

Home Game: (A Vancouver Wolves Hockey Romance Book #2)
I adored tough & feisty Zoey who had the softest & most innocent heart! Her story was so sad & I completely I understood why, first Ryan then the rest, completely loved her & took her under their wing!!
Of course things took a turn for the scary as an awful part of Zoey’s past rears its evil head!! Ryan was also fearful of overstepping his ‘friendship’ bounds!
This couple were completely captivating & adorable. When they finally get together sparks become an inferno. Mica is the main character in Book #3, he was brilliant with Zoey & Ryan so I’m really excited for his story!!

This was the first book I picked up by Odette Stone. I’d never been drawn to sports romances and HOME GAME changed my mind about this subgenre. The heroine in this story is still on my mind, more than a year after reading it.
Nice storyline and plot. Great chemistry. A well written story with nice storyline and plot. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader more of the feelings and thoughts of the main characters. Likeable main characters who develops nicely through the story. Nice chemistry and passion between them. How to choose the right partner and fight for it despite all the issues that is thrown at you. How to catch the chance for your HEA.
Love this book, it was a great read i couldn’t put it down.
Ok so this one was even better than the first one. But I think that’s in part because I went in super excited to keep reading this series and I knew what to expect from the authors writing style. But then again it could have been because of Ryan and Zoe.
Zoe was one of those characters that I instantly liked and felt protective of. And I loved that Ryan felt the same way but he still had reservations and everything happened organically.
Ryan was just perfect. He was so sweet and caring and he consistently put Zoe first. Even if he wasn’t great at communicating why he was doing things. And I loved the addition of Mica as a secondary character. I already have his book downloaded and ready to go. So I’m off.
I couldn’t put this book down! It sent me on an emotional roller coaster. I haven’t cried this hard from a book in a long time. I wanted the happily ever after and it was delivered! This was also one of the sweetest couples I’ve read. I enjoyed every minute, even when I wept like a baby! A must read and great addition to the series!
One of my favorite Hockey Romances ever. Will touch your heart in so many ways. to follow.
KU. Another solid entry into the Vancouver Wolves Hockey series. Ryan and Zoey’s story is fantastic. Taking place over more than a year. Zoey is homeless and through a series of events, Ryan befriends her and she comes to live with him. The genuine and deep friendship that builds between them is written perfectly. Stone brings a new twist to the typical Roommates-to-Lovers trope and it’s a wonderful ride.
My only complaint is that it would have been nice to see a little more of Max & Rory (from Book 1) and what little we see/hear isn’t entirely consistent with the HEA/epilogue from that book.
I am glad Stone let us get to know more members of the team and I’m looking forward to future books.

The hero alone in this one earned 3 out of 4 stars…
Plot overview: Pro hockey player Ryan meets homeless Zoey and takes care of her after she’s beaten up by street thugs. They become friends. Romance of the slow burn variety eventually develops.
I adored Ryan. ADORED him. He was one of the sweetest cinnamon roll heroes I’ve seen in a long time. He was kind, attentive to Zoey’s needs, selflessly giving, and ultra-supportive. He had some trouble communicating his feelings towards the end of the book that irked me a little, but hey, I get it. He’s a dude. I shouldn’t expect perfection from an already damn near perfect book boyfriend.
I also loved that Ryan and Zoey weren’t immediately sexually attracted to each other. Zoey needed help and Ryan offered it. That’s it. They took the time to become friends before any sexual attraction developed. It was a lovely slow burn, and y’all know how much I enjoy a slow burn.
Zoey was a pretty adorable heroine, too. She was smart and kind, and a little clueless about how the world worked outside of her reality. A lesser heroine might’ve seen Ryan as a gullible meal ticket, but Zoey never would’ve used him that way. She respected him too much.
The supporting characters were pretty cool, too. They were all decent, nice guys. Even the grumpy Jensen won me over. I’d read all their stories, frankly.
There were only a couple of things I didn’t care for, but honestly, it wasn’t enough to hurt my reading enjoyment or impact my rating that much:
1. Bianca the assistant. I can’t stand the “hateful other woman” cliche in romance. Can’t women support each other? Bianca was a little over-the-top awful. Watching Zoey eventually stand up to her was SUPER satisfying, though.
2. The first epilogue was really just a teaser for the next book in the series, which made me feel a little jipped as a reader. I wanted to hear more about Ryan and Zoey’s happily ever after, not a teaser for the next story in the series.
3. The second epilogue was just a sex scene. That’s all fine and good, but it was spicier than the book’s other sex scenes, and it seemed a little out-of-place as a result. There was nothing really wrong with it, but it had a more erotica feel to it than the rest of the book. I could’ve skipped it, frankly.
But minor nitpicks notwithstanding, I enjoyed this one and will happily read the rest of the series.
