I never expected to have to go back home. But my mother needed me, and being the good daughter I am, I went.Days in the hospital only added to the feeling that this holiday season was going to be the worst I’ve suffered, but then he showed up.A cardiac technician with a smile that makes the angels sing. And of course, the alpha male rubs me the wrong way.But I can’t help but want to warm myself by … wrong way.
But I can’t help but want to warm myself by the fire swirling in between us.
Things move along quickly and I’m choking on the idea of leaving my big-city New York dream life to be a part of his small-town world.
There’s no way I can allow that to happen though.
I was just home for the holidays. And now it’s time to go.
No matter whose heart it breaks in the process.
Mine included.

This story features a driven, perfectionist April, NYC magazine editor in chief as she returns to her childhood home in Hope, TN, after a call that her mother is in surgery after a heart attack. One of the first persons she meets is Justin, the cardiac tech and she treats him verbally almost as poorly as the woman who rained a full bedpan on him. This is an easy read as Justin turns into the hero, capturing April’s V-card and putting her in a quandary as she returns to her coveted job in the city. How do we get to a HEA from here?
Congratulations to Ms. Parker, yet again, for this incredibly heartwarming release.
Within these wonderfully written pages, you are introduced to Justin and April. April came home for her Mother, but in doing so, she discovers, her other half, her fated partner for life, her Justin. This release takes off at a fast pace and keeps you turning the pages, at an impressive rate, as you watch her fight her attraction for Justin. Do you know the saying, thou protests to much? Exactly. I encourage all fans of amazing romance, to watch the mighty fall while fighting the whole time. Home For The Holidays comes complete with an outstanding happily ever after.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced readers copy of Home For The Holidays in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion. I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything published by Ms. Parker.
Small Town Romance is a Winner!
This is a great holiday based story that features three great characters, Della, who lives in Hope, TN, and has a heart attack. Her daughter, April lives in NYC as an Editor-in-Chief of a highly successful Woman’s magazine. Finally there is Justin, the very handsome Cardiology Tech who is part of Della’s care team and is how he and April meet. Unfortunately they don’t hit off. April is rude, arrogant and just down right awful to him. Justin initially is scared of her then comes to tolerate her, followed by cautiously going out. This leads to some attraction being felt and displayed. However, they love to irritate each other, but in a humorous way. There is an HEA, but you’ll need to read how that happens. One more thing…the catalyst for the couple in getting together is Della. She not only sits quietly knitting, she also sets up scenarios for the couple or for herself so the couple can be together. Think of her as the Maestra of the plot.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book for your holiday (and anytime really) reading enjoyment and pleasure.
I received this ARC from “Bad Boy Update” for my honest review so I’m leaving this for your consideration. Peace.
Great holiday romance! April is a type A magazine editor in NYC. She rushes home to her small southern town when her mother ends up in the hospital. Used to getting what she wants when she wants it and is totally frustrated at Justin, the cardiac tech. He loves riling her up and can’t help the chemistry between them. I love their drama, passion, and their story as they figure out what they truly want in life and love!
I found this wonderful and heartwarming story to be a very enjoyable read with the well written storyline and well created characters that kept me totally captivated until the turn of the very last page!
Heartwarming holiday romance!
I was waiting impatiently for Justin’s story and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The storyline was well written and enjoyable, just perfect for upcoming holidays! It took me a while to warm up to April, but in the end I really liked her and she was just perfect for Justin. Their HEA was sweet and heartwarming. Can’t wait to read more!
I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
