Home for Love, is the fourth book in the Finding Love Medical Romance Series. Written with sensitivity, grace and love, Ms. Verde brings to life a story that deals with homelessness, a topic most readers haven’t thought about, much less experienced. Home for Love shows readers that no matter what we are going through, there always Hope for those who love God. Although the book is fiction, it seemed very real to me. It touched my heart and changed me. I have a new perspective about people who have experienced something so devastating. I will no longer ignore the person on the street corner asking for help.
This book had me hook line and sinker from the first few pages, all the way to the hook at the end!
Allison is living in her car with her two children. Her car is in such bad shape that she probably couldn’t find someone to steal it if it stalls in the wrong area.
Jared is a cardiac surgeon. He works closely with a new nurse who will talk to anyone but him. However, he has other issues to worry about, like the health of his spirit, his body, and his relationship with his girlfriend…that is until he stops to help a car that has stalled by the exit of the parking garage at work. From that day on, his priorities change.
Can this down and out nurse and mother deal with Jared’s baggage? Can Jared be open and committed enough to be what Allison needs?
I highly recommend this book!
Rose sensitively handles the issues of homelessness and the emotional turmoil of dealing with a cancer diagnosis. In the midst of these hard things she’s written a tender love story and testimony to the power of faith in the most difficult circumstances.
Allie lost her family to her marriage, her marriage to a devastating illness and her home to a mountain of bills. When a co-worker finds out that she’s been living out of her car with her two daughters and he offers them a place to stay what more is there to lose? Could it be her heart?
Jared didn’t plan to get involved in Allie’s life when he offered her a place to stay. Anyone would have done the same, right? He’s drawn to her peaceful spirit and can’t help but love the two little girls who pull at his heartstrings with just a smile. With the secret he’s carrying is it better to keep his distance?
I loved this book. I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
Home for Love is a touching romance that doesn’t shy away from the hard realities of life while maintaining a hope-filled tone. It’s a story of love, reconciliation, faith, hope, forgiveness, and redemption. I liked the main characters, Allison and Jared. Allison’s daughters, Faith and Libby, made me smile. Her love and devotion to them was made obvious by all of her actions. The book moves along at a good pace, and the dialogue flows well. I would recommend this to readers of Christian romance. I got this through KU.
Allison has two beautiful children: Libby 4yo, adopted Faith 6yo.
Unlucky her dear husband Keith became ill, she has hospital bills and rental to pay, so the life change for all 3.
this book is realistic, full of emotion, love, faith, good and bad people as the life is. good job Rose Verde!
Rose Verde had written a wonderful book with a good story line, realistic characters, humor, forgiveness, reliance on God and the need to return to God. You find yourself wonder what more can Allison handle, will Jared work his life out and will they both get their happily ever after? A totally enjoyable book.
Home For Love deals with homelessness and cancer diagnoses in a tender, caring romance. With well written characters, this story tells how God can provide for his children – even in the face of insurmountable obstacles. This book is a testament to the power of faith to help you in life’s difficult journeys. Rose Verde’s books always grab me and don’t let go even after I finish the story.
I received an advance copy of this book & this is my voluntary, honest review. Once again Rose has delivered an excellent story that is different from her other books. It is full of faith & God pulling the warward back to him. I thoroughly enjoyed the read. I think you will also if you buy this book & the others in the series. I have not been disappointed in any of them.
