Louise “Lulu” Kingsley is thrilled to discover after years of wishing for a sibling, Cami Chandler is her half-sister. When Cami invites her to live with her at Chandler Hill, Lulu jumps at the chance to leave behind all the heartache in her recent life. Not the spoiled little rich girl the media would like everyone to think, Lulu digs into marketing for the inn and winery, feeling more … comfortable there than she ever did in California with her political father. Better yet, her mother is becoming a stronger, happier person and shares the idea of becoming part of a new family. Even though Lulu is aware that Miguel Lopez is the kind of guy who represents everything she’s trying to forget, she’s attracted to him. Following a heartbreaking situation, she steps away from their relationship. Lulu settles in at Chandler Hill, coping the best way she knows—by working hard. But when Cami’s beloved grandfather, Rafe, has a stroke, Lulu realizes life is short and knows she must make things right with Miguel, and learns that home is where your heart leads you.

It was wonderful to go back to the Chandler Hill Inn and read the conclusion of this wonderful series. The setting in the vineyards in Willamette Valley is beautiful. The characters are well written and since this is the last book in the series, I’m going to miss them.
This book is about Lulu. Her father was a politician who had just died. After his death, she found out that she had a sister that she never knew about so to get away from the political scandal that happened after his death, she decided that she wanted to meet her sister and was thrilled that her sister and family met her with open arms and offered her a job at the Inn if she wanted to stay. As she handles marketing for the winery, she finds out that she’s happier than she’s ever been and thrilled to be part of her new large family. When she is called back home to help deal with her mother’s increasing depression, she finds out how much she misses her new family and can’t wait to get back. Plus she has a potential romance to deal with. She finds herself getting close to Miguel even though she feels like he’s involved with many other women. Will she have a happily after ever with Miguel? Will she continue to find happiness and acceptance at Chandler Hill Inn??
This book is a fantastic ending to this series. The characters are well written and likable and the scenery at the vineyards make you want to take a vacation there. I have really enjoyed getting to know this family and will miss reading about them again.

REVIEW
As I understand it, Home At Last is the conclusion of a series. I have not read the previous books, but this one is fine as a standalone. The story is classic women’s fiction with the perfect blend of elements. The characters are easy to like and sympathize with because they seem like friends. The story is moving, charming, absorbing and warm hearted with all the feels. I enjoyed reading this feel good speak to the heart story. I hope to read more by Judith Keim.
Lulu is settling in at the Chandler Hill Inn after being invited by her newly-discovered half-sister, Cami. After a life of living her father’s politics, she is ready to be away from the spotlight and his scandal. Lulu found she loves taking pictures and working the marketing aspect of the Inn and Winery. She also catches of the eye of Miguel, but, after a brief encounter, finds she needs to step back. Lulu’s mother has a setback that causes a return home. which happened to be be good timing for Lulu to get away and deal with everything that is piling on her plate. During that time, she meets with William, the guy her father wanted her to marry. That encounter makes her realize that California was no longer her home and she needed to get back to Chandler Inn where she feels she now belongs. Lulu now has a nickname “Weezie” that she uses when people recognize her from the political scene, a place she wants to forget. Lulu now knows she is home to stay and she would deal with Miguel and tell him the truth. Things happen for a reason and Lulu is finding that out as she settles into her new life.
Home at Last by Judith Keim is the third book in the Chandler Hill Inn Series. I enjoyed reading about how Lulu is bonding with her half-sister Cami and feeling the comfort of more family. She loves her grandfather Rafe.
Cami is a fast-thinker and turned an intended insult around when she was approached by a person who recognized her as being Congressman Kinsley’s daughter. Even though she cringed inside, she innocently acts as if it is mistaken identity, She says she is, “Weezie Lopez”. Smart girl!
Cami is excited to jump into the marketing and promotion for the inn. She takes beautiful photographs and is developing the website. She is putting her past disappointments behind her and going forward with hopes for a better life. She said other girls may want a fairy godmother but she always wanted a sister.
Soon lulu is faced with another troublesome event in her life, Her mother suffers from depression and tried to commit suicide. Lulu drops all of her plans and rushes to help her mom.
I don’t want to post spoilers, but there is a lot going on in the final Chandler Hill Inn story.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.
In this wonderful conclusion to a heartfelt and emotional trilogy, set in Oregon’s stunning wine country, Judith Keim has tied up the Chandler Hill series with the perfect bow. Lulu and Cami’s character evolve beautifully as they navigate everything life throws at them, and their story leaves an indelible message on your heart. Even if it’s not where you expect it to be, when you find it, there truly is nowhere like home.
Home at Last by Judy Keim is part of the amazing Chandler Hill series and was a wonderful reading experience. I love this author’s books and this one was exceptional. Without giving away any spoilers, the characters were likable, charming and realistic, and the storyline was heartwarming and so enjoyable and easy to read. Judy Keim is one of my favorite authors because her books captivate readers from page one and you simply can’t wait to see what happens next. Rating it a five is inadequate because it definitely deserves a ten.
Thanks goes the publisher and Net-Galley for the complimentary copy of Home at Last by Judith Keim. I have read this women’s fiction novel with strong romantic elements for the purpose of expressing my view and opinions which are not influenced in any way.
Home at Home is the third book in Ms. Keim’s Chandler Hill Inn series. I read the first two books and enjoyed them immensely, so I couldn’t wait to read Home at Last. This novel reunites two half-sisters, who have only recently discovered each other.
The writing pulled me in right away and kept me engaged until the end. The character development is solid, and the plot is unique. While I’m glad I read Home at Last, it wasn’t as amazing as the other two were, but still an excellent book.
Louise Kingsley, aka Lulu, character has many aspects of her personality I enjoyed, but there were a few I found annoying. She vacillates quite a lot between which man she wants. I’m not a huge fan of love triangles so that may have affected my overall enjoyment a touch. She has reason to fall back on the tried and true she’s known from her political father. Also, she has good reason to have concerns regarding faithfulness in a relationship. My issue came from her back and forth from one to other.
Miguel Lopez is our hero and I enjoyed his character a great deal. He’s a loyal grandson and friend. His issues aren’t as involved as the heroine’s. He easily attracts women, and has, since his teenage years. This causes unnecessary flags raised in Lulu’s mind. He isn’t a “lady killer” he’s just an engaging man, who he appeals to females with little effort. He’s an all-around good guy, willing to extend his hand of friendship.
The romance isn’t the strong focus of this book, and that’s easy to see from the first. Although that’s not to say it’s a lovely love story. Lulu’s issues and problems and learning to live with them and resolve them is the central premise. She is getting to know her sister, and she has a complex relationship with her mother. Her father was a womanizer. All these issues are enough to affect her life. I’m happy to say I enjoyed her resolutions.
If you’re looking for a novel that deals with real-life issues with intricate relationships, then you will enjoy Home at Last as much as I. I’m so glad I found Ms. Keim’s novels and look forward to reading future books by her. Happy reading!

This heartwarming and uplifting book is a lovely reading getaway. I enjoyed catching up with characters we’ve come to know and love. Lulu deepens the bond with her half-sister Cami, grows closer to her mother and is drawn to Miguel, but can she learn to trust love again? The backdrop of the wedding venue and vineyard businesses made the book even more interesting.
I’m fortunate enough to when been able to read all of the books in this wonderful series. The first one was one of my all time favorite books. The story touched me. Each one since has been just as wonderful. I have enjoyed reading the journey of this family and all the characters that are a part of this series through the years. This book was wonderful to see two half sisters discover each other and get a chance to build their relationship. We got to read Cami’s story in book two and it was really cool to get her half sister, Lulu’s story in this book so people could see there is more to her than perceived. I’m grateful to Judith Keim, the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC to read in exchange for my honest review.
I have really enjoyed The Chandler Hill Inn series. The characters are so well developed that I feel they are part of my own family or circle of friends. I felt their happiness and pain and even cried at one point.
Cami and Lulu have grown so much together as half sisters. Rafe, their grandfather was such a wonderful man and added so much to this three book series with his love story and help for his grandchildren and Lulu’s mother. It was so nice to have Lulu find herself and find out who her mom really was as a woman and mother after her husband died. It was very uplifting.
I am so glad Lulu learned to be able to trust a man and open her heart and decide who was best for her and what she wanted. What a wonderful story and a fantastic, heartfelt conclusion to this series! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
In Home At Last the author continues the saga of the Chandler Inn and Winery.
This book follows Lulu who is the daughter of a prominent senator and an alcoholic mother. She has also recently found out that she is the half-sister of Cami, the owner of the Chandler Inn and Winery. When Cami offers Lulu the opportunity of work, Lulu gladly escapes her life in California and comes to Chandler Hill.
Although family and relationships are the reoccurring theme of this series, Lulu struggles to accept both. Distancing herself from her old life and trying to find where she belongs in her new environment is not easy. Heartbreaking and heartwarming, what Lulu eventually does find is nothing she expected.
Thank you to the author, Judith Keim, for writing a book that shows how much family is wanted and needed. Especially now that we have become socially distanced from each other, many are finding what a real family is again. Thank you to the author and also to NetGalley for an early copy of this book. The comments and review are my honest opinion.
Book three in the Chandler Hill Inn series a well written story that kept me turning pages. I enjoyed seeing Louise “Lulu” Kingsley and Miguel Lopez’s story come together. What a great way to end this series, I am sad to see it end. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
In Book Three of the Chandler Hill Inn saga, we find Lulu and her sister Cami as they cement their relationship. They’d begun to nurture their bond as sisters after discovering that they shared the same father. Home at Last is a story of healing and belonging, and Keim has once again woven a strong thread of family, love, and determination through her characters.
A great addition to the trilogy, I was saddened to see it end. I look forward to reading more from Keim.
[Many thanks to BookSprout and the author for the opportunity to read an Advance Reader Copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.]
Home is where your heart is…
Lulu Kingsley is reaching out to family after her father’s death revealed a half-sister she has never known. There is no doubt they are related. Cami Chandler looks just like Lulu but the resemblance ends there. Cami has always had a circle of friends and supportive family, Lulu was raised in a home full of her father’s politics and the heartache of her mother’s depression. When Lulu arrives at Chandler Hill she finds a job, a family, and the support she has been missing, and the home she has always wanted. She also finds herself pulled between Will and Miguel, two strong, charismatic men who would take her future in opposite directions.
The storyline has some beautiful scenes along with family drama. Judith Keim has created characters with interactions that are believable and some of the subjects the story deals with are poignant. Although this is the last book in the series, it is the first one I have read and now I want to go back and read the other books.
Well done characters and a great setting feature in this story of a young woman with serious trust issues.
In it we learn why they continue… Of course she’s also introduced to a few honorable men. One she falls in love with and one that helps her learn to trust.
