“A tender, beautifully told story of emotional growth, forgiveness [and] the possibility of miracles.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review) Madelaine Hillyard is a brilliant cardiologist at the top of her game. A loving but overworked single mom, she is constantly at odds with her confused and angry daughter, Lina, a teenage rebel desperate to find the father she has never known. He is Angel … known. He is Angel DeMarco, now a cynical, world-famous movie star, living a shallow, glittering life. When tragedy brings them all together, and Angel’s damaged heart needs healing, Madelaine must face the betrayals of the past and find the courage to love again.

This book has all my favorites…..a wonderfully written contemporary women’s fiction story with realistically scarred characters who are good people trying to find happiness. Each page is filled with tension as they face obstacles that keep them from their true essence. This author has always been one of my favorites!
Too long, predictable, syrupy
A little predictable but good read.
Mediocre
I like a book where you move from not liking someone to rooting for them and liking them!
great character deveopment and better than average story that held my interest
I thought the first half was predictable. I enjoyed the characters. I went through different emotions. The author’s books are never disappointing. My all time favorite of hers is Home Front.
I absolutely loved this book. It was hard to put down and was a tear jerker. It had it all – love, regret, tragedy, perseverance. Just wow!
Definitely not as good as other Hannah books. Very predictable. I was disappointed.
Easy read but very predictable. Good storyteller just wish it was more complex.
An easy read!
Kristin Hannah’s books are always good and this one did not disappoint.
Right up there with other Kristin Hannah books. I am a huge fan. Loved it!
a “light read” but good.
Raises a lot of questions with no easy answers.
Good , romantic reading .

This book was very entertaining and sad. I kept thinking this has to be the end of the book, but it kept going. This book was beautifully written and touched my heart
