I love any book written by Harlan Coben. THey all have great characters and plenty of suspense. I have followed Myron Bolitar from the first book he was featured in. In ‘Home’ the mystery begins a decade ago, when kidnappers grabbed two boys from wealthy families and demanded ransom, then went silent. No trace of the boys ever surfaced. For ten years their families have been left with nothing but painful memories and a quiet desperation for the day that has finally, miraculously arrived: Myron Bolitar and his friend Win believe they have located one of the boys, now a teenager. Where has he been for ten years, and what does he know about the day, more than half a life ago, when he was taken? And most critically: What can he tell Myron and Win about the fate of his missing friend?
Twisty, fast paced read with an ending I did not see coming. Loved the characters of Win and Myron.
He is always a good read
The book was rather disappointing as I was to pleased to see the characters were returning again for another action adventure, but it was a disappointment as it was a bit dull. Usually there is more action, and Myron came off as obsessed with being conventual and winning ti Win about his behaviors. Actually Win was my favorite characters because he acts to get even without remorse. Harlan Cohen is one of our favorite authors, but this book was boring!!!!
Love, love the Win and Mryon series
It seems this particular book could be the last of the “Myron Bolitar” series. I have loved reading each and everyone. Simplistic reading, full of adventure, great mystery involvement and characters that are easy to care about. This particular story is one of the best in this series. Told through the eyes of a different main character, it is a page-turner and I don’t know that you’ll see the end result coming.
I would suggest starting at Book 1, but every character is explained in each book so you could read this book as a stand alone and feel like you know each character’s past well. Wonderful book, wonderful series. You will not be disappointed.
Great book
Great plot, lots of twists and turns
This was a pretty good book. It was not one that I could not put down, but good nonetheless. I could see this story happening in real life. A tragic tale between two families with one that had a somewhat happy ending.
Love all of his books.
All of Harlan Coben’s books are extremely exciting with great twists and unexpected situations. This one about finding a boy kidnapped over 10 years earlier, and the search for his best friend who was kidnappened with him ,really pulls out all the punches. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and the realism will scare the crap out of any reader. Great characters!
I am a big fan of Harlan Coben and his character Bolitar. I like books where truth wins out and justice is served.
Any book by Harlan Coban is worth the read. Loved this one.
