Great series! I thoroughly enjoyed theses books. I never understood why people hide behind their secrets all the time letting them define who they are. God hates secrets as well and when we let them be known they can’t hurt us anymore. These stories were great. I’d like to know how all the characters are doing now. Hope another book will let us know.
Nice treatment of finding happiness, but basically ignored issues of resolving issues that arise in couplehood. More predictable than I would have preferred, but a pleasant wind down at the end of the day.
Carolyne Aarsen’s books are always very entertaining! I always want to read more!
I enjoyed this series very much. Wonderful characters and great story lines.
Love these characters that have been through it and come out the other side loving their Lord
I really enjoyed these book series! She paints a realistic picture of Christians….that we are all flawed and have our own things we struggle with….but that we can work thru those differences and be stronger together. Also shows the power of Jesus at work, changing lives and bringing healing to strained relationships. I felt like I grew so much closer to God thru these books, and also could better understand the emotions and decisions that people can have and make based on what happened in their lives, and that I cannot judge others’ motives and actions; I need to extend love no matter what.
I enjoyed the first 2 books more than the 3rd. I like that the characters are honest about how they feel. That Christians aren’t perfect, and that we still struggle with things.
This a three book set and can be read alone, but read as a series is very enjoyable as the characters from each book are part of the next story. Each book centers around a couple who have difficult past that they are trying to over come. With the help of faith growing in their lives, they find love and happiness.
I found the series of three books about the lives of two sisters to be realistic and interesting to read. Topics ranged from wayward parents to faith to domestic abuse and finding true love and forgiveness. EAch book is is as good as the one before it .
Good
usually prefer stand alone books but loved this series
Good old time reading about communities and how it used to be. I miss that community feeling
Loved them all
Good Christian romance
Really loved this book with all of it’s maddening scary choices these ladies made but overcame with the help of those who came alongside to challenge them to see life through the lense of God’s word.
Loved this series of books, (have bought the next one in the Holmes Crossing Series) because they tell stories of difficult life situations, how faith changes lives, conflict resolution, redemption, love, hope and in-depth characters. I fell in love with this author. Every page is full of surprises and will leave you wanting more.
Good stories about families. both functional, their problems, their secrets and their romances.
This trilogy was very good and held my interest
Clean and inspirational read. Stories were realistic to today. I had a hard time putting these books down, I wanted to know what was next.
The 3 book “Holmes Crossing” set of books I just finished was outstanding! I gave it 5 stars and enjoyed reading all 3 books very much. I had already read the second book in the series, but re-read part of it again to refresh my memory, enjoying it again, before going on to the third one. I highly recommend all 3 books.
