Brooklyn James should know better.Born into Hollywood royalty, the brooding prince has a reputation as being a player. A manwhore. A womanizer.Adoring fans are his thing. His best friend’s little sister is not.Even thinking about her the way he is isn’t cool. Not cool at all.And yet every time she pouts those sexy lips at him, she turns him inside out. Makes him harder than he’s ever been. Drives … than he’s ever been. Drives him to the brink of insanity.
Amelia Waters has always idolized her big brother, and the last thing she wants to do is disappoint him.
Falling for her brother’s ex-roommate is off-limits.
She knows this, but she can’t help herself.
The way Brooklyn looks at her with those smoldering blue eyes makes her wet in an instant. Turns her into a shivering, shaking mess of sexual frustration. And soon the idea of spreading her legs for him is the only thing she can think about.
She wants him.
He wants her.
When they finally decide to give in to their insane attraction, they agree it will remain between them. That their illicit affair will be short-term. No strings. No baggage. No messy ending.
But when the first night of mind-blowing sex leads to another, and another still, how long can the endless hookups go on before Amelia’s brother finds out? Or worse yet, before feelings develop?
Brooklyn and Amelia know they need to walk away from each other before either of those things happens.
The problem is doing it.
Talk about a mess.

I am loving this story line of Amelia trying to find her Mr. Right! It always happens…when you meet one great guy, you meet another possibility. If you are looking for a fast paced, easy to read and follow with just enough mystery book, look no further. This is what Hollywood Prince offers! I’m so looking forward to book 2.
I loved these 2 and the cast of friends and family that surrounded them, challenged them (as they found their truths) and I wanted to immediately read the rest of the books in the series to see how the other couples came together. The author did a great job setting up the dramatic tension from the very beginning with a clever opening that pulls you in and has you guessing who’s who. No editing issues, good dialogue and some steamy sex that doesn’t drown the plot. Just what I want in my books.
It kept my interest.
I really enjoyed this book. I couldn’t put it down.
I love this author’s writing and I knew I would love this book. It definitely didn’t disappoint. He was her first kiss, the last boy she pretend married, her prince charming. She just didn’t know it. Brooklyn and Amelia were perfect for each other. Now I need to go back and read Cam’s story and Keen’s story!
‘Hollywood Prince’ is a standalone but I recommend you to read ‘No Pants Required’ and ‘Bedwrecker’ before it so you will have more ideas regarding our hero’s and heroine’s and their families’ background. ‘Hollywood Prince’ is a funny, sexy and light-hearted book that you can easily read in one sitting.
Brooklyn James known as Hollywood royalty. He was the star of a reality show when he was a teenager. When he started college, he quit the show. Even though, most of his friends from the show became actors and actresses, Brooklyn didn’t want to get in front of the camera. Plus being the child of Emma Fairchild, who is a Broadway star turned film actress turned director and Todd James, who is an A-list actor turned into a junkie, was not helping him to stay away from the spotlight, which pushed Brooklyn to leave LA and move to Laguna Beach. He is known as a player. His brother Keen and his best friend Cam calls him ‘Panty dropper’ but he is really sick of all these meaningless relationships and aimless life style he is leading and he wants to change it. He wants to be a screenwriter and become successful with his work.
Amelia Waters believes in fairy tales and still looking for her happily-ever-after. She grew up like a princess between her two brothers and her father, she always felt overly protected. She is a really talented photographer but because she doesn’t want to disappoint her father, she finished her MBA and started working at his father’s company. After her big brother died from OD, her family broken into pieces and because everyone is trying to protect her, they don’t tell her the truth about a lot of things. But on the New Year’s Eve everything starts to crumble down with her learning the truth behind her family. Before learning all that she was enjoying her blind date her best friend set for her with Landon, who is a professional baseball player, and she thinks that he can be her Mr. Right. Before their relationship can go anywhere, Amelia decides to fly to Laguna Beach to confront her brother Cam about her new knowledge regarding their family.
When she shows up on her brothers doorstep, instead of her brother Cam, she gets Brooklyn, the Pantydropper The chemistry between Amelia and Brooklyn is off the charts. But Amelia knows all about Brooklyn’s bad boy reputation and his manwhoring ways. She thinks he is Mr. Oh-So-Wrong but she is sick of being the good girl and she wants to him to rub little bit of his bad to her. Amelia’s brother Cam is Brooklyn’s best friend. Even though, the attraction between them is undeniable, Brooklyn does his best to resist her. He decides that it will be easier if he friend-zone her but their relationship changes after Amelia starts giving him suggestions for the screenplay he spend two years writing and start spending time with her. So at the end they decide they will have a secret affair that won’t end up being messy or emotional.
Can they really end their relationship before it gets messy or emotional? Can Mr. Oh-So-Wrong be Amelia’s Mr. Right? Are Brooklyn’s feelings for Amelia the push he needs to get his life together? Will Brooklyn and Cam’s friendship survive? Will Amelia get her happily-ever-after? These are all for you to find out… But let me just tell you this if every Mr. Oh-So-Wrong is like Brooklyn, I definitely want one If you are looking for a quick read that is fun, sweet, sexy and will leave you with a smile on your face, you should definitely read ‘Hollywood Prince’.
Would I recommend this book: Yes
Would I re-read this book: Definitely
Would I read future books by this author: Yes
P.S. Next one in the series (I know it is not a series but it feels like one ) will be Chase’s story ‘Heartbreaker’ and later on we will read the next chapter on Cam & Makayla’s relationship in ‘Tie the Knot’.
How to sum up Hollywood Prince in one word: exasperating.
The storyline is cliché, the writing monotonous, and the characters so puerile you’ll be rolling your eyes and struggling through the book if you have not already DNF’d it after a few chapters, like I should have.
I’ve read a few of Kim Karr’s Connections series and liked those, but Hollywood Prince was a departure from what she’s capable of achieving. She should have followed her our character’s words, “Romances that feel real, make you feel like you’re floating on a cloud, are the very best ones.” I was firmly planted on the ground wondering where the emotional depth, character development and maturity were in this story.
Note: While it’s said it can be read as a standalone in a series, your head will be spinning trying to grasp for character connections and context.

Hollywood Prince was about Amelia having to choose between two men. This was not a love triangle. It was a choice between the bad guy and the good guy. Amelia recently discovered some disturbing news about her parents and went to Laguna Beach to confront her brother Camden. While in Laguna Beach she got reacquainted with Brooklyn whom she knew since a child. Brooklyn was Camden’s childhood friend. Camden, Makayla, Keen, and Maggie were included in this story.
I have to admit I was hesitant to read this new book by Kim. Problem one: I was hesitant about the title and the implication about a Prince. I’m not the fairy tale kind of person so that caused concern. Problem two: I was concerned this might be another Hollywood story about famous characters. Problem three: I thought this was going to be a love triangle. Rather than judge based on these issues I chose to give it a chance. I’m so glad I read this because it was not what I expected. In fact, it was amazing. I’m so glad I gave Kim a chance to prove my issues incorrectly.
Hollywood Prince was a standalone story. Even though this was a standalone story it’s still refreshing to read about familiar established characters from the previous two books. Hollywood Prince was written in Amelia and Brooklyn’s POV’s.
Kim took this story to an extremely erotically and sexually charged direction. It’s stated that it’s a contemporary romance but the things Brooklyn did with his tongue and hands made that debatable. The story got intensely sexual and smoldering hot with arousal. Especially when they went to a strip club. Who knew words could drip with arousal without the ability to touch, taste, or feel. The visual imaginary Kim created with her words placed me in several scenes along with the characters. Having never been to a strip club myself I pictured it perfectly. The lust, desire, and arousal was thick in that room. Things got fun and dirty.
“Your sister is into me because she craves some of my bad, and I intend to wipe it all over her”. Excerpt From: Karr, Kim. “Hollywood Prince.” Too damn funny. Love this naughty quote.
‘Two princes, but only one is meant to be mine.’
Amelia Waters has had a lot happen in her life that has shaped the person she is. She has many self-imposed expectations that she tries to meet. An unexpected run in with a “friend” has her questioning everything that she believes to be true in her life. Amelia flees New York and heads to California to seek answers from her brother Cam. There is only one problem- Cam is away. But fear not! Coming to her rescue is Cam’s best friend, the yummy Brooklyn James. The last time Amelia saw Brooklyn was when she was ten years old…..
The chemistry between Brooklyn and Amelia is insane. The sex is hot, hot, hot! Brooklyn has a well-known reputation in Hollywood. He is still called ‘the player’ and the ‘pantydropper’. But there is much more to Brooklyn James than meets the eye. He wants more but is afraid to admit it and afraid of failure.
‘Too wild. Too unsettled. Too rough around the edges. Too much sex appeal’.
Amelia was the “princess” in her family. She wants to please everyone, especially her dad. She is beautiful and mesmerizing but also funny and easy going too. Amelia is struggling to find her way, her balance. She doesn’t want to let anyone down but yet she is not really happy working in the family business. She would much rather pursue her love of photography.
Brooklyn is also trying to find his way and I love how Amelia believed in him and in return became his inspiration.
I don’t know if this book is part of a series, but it seemed as if some of the characters are interconnected with other books. It is a “stand alone” but I felt a bit lost in the beginning, like I was missing a piece of a puzzle. I liked the story and things did come together. I just would have preferred a little more background. There are many mentions and character appearances from No
Pants Required, Bedwrecker and The Connected Series.
I enjoyed the book and look forward to going back and reading No Pants Required and Bedwrecker to see where it all sort of began!

What happens when you find out everything in your life has been a lie??
What happens when you decide you don’t like the life your living??
What happens when the man you thought was Mr. Oh-So-Wrong turns out to be just what you’re looking for??
Read Hollywood Prince by Kim Karr to get all the answers to these questions. When you read this book you will get a fun and entertaining love story.
Hollywood Prince is the third book in a series of complete standalone novels written by Kim Karr. Each of these books can be read completely by themselves. You do get some character overlap, but nothing is ruined when they are read out of order. Each book is built off a character you meet in Book 1…. No Pants Required. As with the first two books, Kim gave us fun loving and relatable characters and a storyline that was quite entertaining. I really liked the flow and pace of this story. The only thing I found missing was drama. I felt this book lacked the drama that has a reader hanging on and desperately wanting to turn the pages. I guess I would’ve liked just a little more drama to add some spice to it.
I liked that we get a touch of the forbidden in this book. This is a Best Friend’s Sister type story, so there was some angst between Amelia and Brooklyn. I do want to warn people who aren’t fans of Love Triangles….please after reading the Preface of this book, don’t give up on it. The author kind of leads you to believe this is going to be a triangle, but trust me is is NOT!!! There are no love triangles in this book. Just tough decisions 😉
As I said before we meet Brooklyn and Amelia in the previous books. Brooklyn is the Best Friend of Cam and also his ex-roommate. Amelia is Cam’s younger sister. Brooklyn and Amelia have known each other for many years, but Brooklyn has always known that Amelia is off limits. Amelia lives in New York and when her life is turned upside down, she flees New York to visit her brother in California to get answers. What she didn’t bargain on was the decisions she would have to make about her life and what she wants. I loved that this book was a story about self discovery and learning to live the life you want to no matter who likes it.
I also really enjoyed that we got to see more of Cam and Makayla, I do wish we would’ve seen a little more of Keen, Maggie and Presley. I am looking forward to reading Chase’s story.
So if you are a fan of the forbidden, best friend’s sister type love story, then I really think you should give this book a try. I think you will find it a fun, sexy and entertaining read.
Not great, but entertaining
