One Epic Love Story.* * *Hollywood was a place of glitz, glamour, and ginormous… egos. The Paparazzi were relentless and rumors ran wild. Elliot Marlowe needed a personal assistant to oversee his life. What he got was a pain in the ass he couldn’t live without. A sexy short story told in the hills of Hollywood.
This book may not be very long, but it is a complete story with no cliffhangers. If asked, Thea’s older sister would probably call Thea an irresponsible flake who always needs a helping hand. In order to help her sister and save her marriage, Thea’s sister tells her about an assistant job helping a leading male actor. Since Thea really has no other choice she applies for the job and Elliott Marlowe is trying to figure out why he is so captivated by her and why he is considering hiring her at all. Elliott appreciates Thea’s truthfulness in why she applied and why he should hire her and he decides to take a chance on her. I found Thea to be a load of fun and just the right offset for Elliott’s seriousness. I enjoyed reading about their relationship and how it developed. I recommend this book especially if you are looking for a quick and entertaining read.

This is a fun short story with a quirky heroine and a hot leading man. She takes a job as a PA for this very successful actor. What starts as his fascination with her boho style becomes more as they sort out each other’s insecurities and kinks. Great quick read!

This is the story of Thea, who is still finding herself even though she is an adult. Her sister is married and seems to have it all. Thea has a habit of getting evicted from her apartments for non-payment of rent. This time, her sister helped out by giving her a lead for a job interview. She was hired and the rest is history. If you want to know what happens and whether Thea’s dream of becoming a screenwriter comes to pass, you will need to pick up a copy of the book. I really enjoyed this book as the characters were believable and their struggles were similar to real life struggles. Thea is a little zany which lends a humorous undertone. Excellent read.

She has no other choice but to appky. She gets the interview which leads to her getting the job. Elliot is the famous actor she will be working for. Elliot gets into a bind & asks Thea for a favor to go as his dad to an award ceremony. This event changes both of their lives for the good.

This was a really good quick read. I enjoyed it very much. I totally loved Thea’s quirkinesses. She had me laughing with the things she says and thoughts.
Assistant to a star includes being a date when needed……….plus a whole lot more!!!
This is a fast-paced short story that is well written and has a good story-line with well developed characters in Thea and Elliot. They are very opposite but yet they fit together very well once they can open up a bit to each other and then see the other for who they really are deep down.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Quick read and cute story. Enjoyable characters and well written! Hollywood setting for an over the top story line but had a few laughs to it.

He needs an assistant and she desperately needs a job. Elliott never expected someone without experience to be his assistant let alone someone he finds himself falling for. Thea doesn’t know a thing about being someone’s assistant but she’s determined to prove she’s not a screw up. They always say opposites attract and they’re right.

A quick fun & sexy read…Previous reviewers have outlined the story. Although not flawlessly written the characters, mismatched at best, kept me turning the pages. I love humourous & quirky sexy stories & this was most certainly one. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Dreams do come true for some. He needed a live in assistant and she needed a job and a place to live. Having no experience at all he hires her because she intrigued him. Such a lovely short story. They were great characters. The only thing is it doesn’t say how long the time was from beginning to end. Was it months or years ? Very quick read.

Thea’s a wannabe screenwriter, but she’s hit rock bottom. Again. Homeless and nearly jobless, her sister gets her a job interview with an A-list actor in need of an executive assistant. Elliot has paparazzi issues, and needs an assistant to help keep his life straight. He hires Thea not because she’s the most qualified for the job, but because she’s the most interesting candidate. When he finds out that his uber-popular singer/girlfriend has dumped him by reading it on page 6, he talks Thea into going to an awards show as his date. This book is laugh-out-loud funny at times – super hot and steamy other times. I don’t think that this book is what I expected, but I loved it just the same. Thea has a snarky mouth, and Elliot has some hidden sexual secrets – in the beginning, I never thought they would work well together, and yet they are so perfect!

What I love the most about this story is that’s it’s not just *spoiler* a story about how boy and girl fall in love against the odds and have their HEA. It’s also a story of how a woman finds herself and strengthens her relationship with her sister in the process. The characters are awesome and I’m so glad the story is deeper than the surface.

I received this book as a gift of and advanced reading copy; no that I have read it I would like to give my honest opinion of what I read.
I have not read one of this author’s books before and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Now there are two graphic love making sections so if you don’t like reading the details of that you could always skip over it. But I wanted to warn those that may be bothered by it. There are a couple of areas where the grammar is misused and it may take you a moment the think about what is going on. You know, words in the wrong place or left out all together. Other than that this is great story, it is funny as all get out. Thea Renner has a mouth on her that surprised me, especially when she would speak to her new boss the movie actor Elliot Marlow.
Thea is a very struggling screen writer. She has had a string of bad luck on her journey to LA. She has had a boyfriend steal all of her money for her rent and half of her furniture. She has had to stay with her sister and her husband for a while trying to get back on her feet, then he kicked her out. Once again she has been evicted when she came back from surfing the landlord had locked her out of the apartment. Fortunately her sister who was still her best friend and greatest supporter, (even though her husband is a rear end) was able to get her a job interview as a personnel assistant to the movie actor Elliot Marlow.
Elliot see Thea at the guards gate coming for the interview and he honestly didn’t know what to think of her. She was dress in a bohemian style dress instead of the business clothe he has seen on the other women. He wonders if she was going to be like most of the other girls who spent more time falling all over him, but somehow she seemed different and different she was. She told him the truth as to why she so desperately needed the job. I think also it was the way that she told him that swayed him into hiring her, and her honesty
It was fascinating reading how two people that were so different change each other in little ways, and to see who their relationship grows.
Hot but simple
3.5
There is certainly a bit of BDSM in this story, but the story is ultimately rather cute and simple, without complication between the two main characters. Due to the character of the two very good characters, I was expecting more quills or twists. I also felt that the descriptions in the feelings lacked detail to better understand their attraction.
Thea finds herself homeless and her sister finds her a job interview with a movie star (Elliot) to be his assistant. Their working relationship is both tense and in pretty slight seduction until Elliot needs her for an event.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
A quick steamy read about an actor and a struggling screenwriter who is also happens to be his new assistant. Thea has just been evicted from her apartment and needs a place to stay so she calls her sister. Instead of her sister letting her stay with her while homeless, she is able to find Thea a job as an assistant to an actor. Elliot is an A-list actor who is needing an assistant to help with his day to day errands. Thea has no experience but she has piqued Elliot’s interest. He starts to see her in more than just an assistant role especially after his girlfriend breaks up with him. The problem is will Thea believe that he sees her as more than just his errand girl. This was a really good book and I can’t wait to read more from her.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Elliot and Thea. She’s a wanderer and is a down on her luck writer looking to write a screenplay. Her sister sets her up with an interview with her star crush Elliott Marlowe. He needs an assistant but never planned on Thea. She ends up blowing his mind more ways than one. Great HEA.

Elliott needed a quick replacement for an assistant and Thea was at rock bottom desperate for a job. Thea’s sister encouraged her to apply, even though she had no experience. Elliott was intrigued by Thea and decided to hire her even though she had no experience. I love how the author used Thea’s personality as a way to show Elliott how independent she was. Her description of her hair and her clothing style would turn most guys off. But their attraction to each other intensified the closer they became. Great quick read about not judging a book by its cover, and love doesn’t discriminate. .
A nice quick and steamy romance read
Thea, a struggling screenwriter, goes to work for Elliot, Hollywood’s leading villain, after being evicted from here last apartment. As the story progresses changes are made, challenges are accepted, and letting go to be your true self could make or break them. M.C. Cerny’s Hollywood lover is a nice quick and steamy romance read with plenty of grey areas, much like life. I would love to see a follow up featuring Sabine.
I received a free copy of the book from the author via Booksprout. I had the opportunity to review or not.
This is the story of Elliott and Thea. I loved this book. The chemistry between them is great. The characters have a very real feeling to them. I loved Thea and how the relationship between them developed. Written wonderfully and the only complaint is that it is too short.
