Sexiest man alive. Playboy movie star. Reckless actor. Will Baker, better known as “Fitz,” is back, and the world has questions. Where did he go? Why is he back? Who was I, Maggie Sharp, the girl who found him? As Will and I fled my family’s troubles, we returned to a world most only dream of, where privacy belongs to the highest bidders, and loving Will might cost me the freedom I fought so hard … might cost me the freedom I fought so hard to attain.
Secrets mean betrayal, and Will’s are bigger than most.
As he returns to a life of wealth and excess, will he fall back into his old vices too?
Or is loving each other the one thing that will save us both?
Author’s note: Hollywood Chase was previously published as Indiscreet, the second book of the Discreet Duet.

This author has a talent that she can lure the reader right into the story and make them feel like they are a part of it and that is exactly what this author did to me! As I turned each page of the well written storyline I felt like the well developed characters, Will and Maggie, jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it effortlessly unfolded!
Nicole French never ceases to amaze me. I am always so drawn into everything she writes from the beginning! She really knows how to suck you in, break your heart, yet leave you whole again and wanting more.
Will and Maggie both have pasts full of obstacles and now their future if full of new ones. We really get inside their heads as individuals and as a couple and at times you will probably want to throw your book/nook/kindle/etc. This book may even be better paired with a glass of wine because goodness knows you are probably going to need it to calm your heart and emotions. haha
I can’t wait to reread this duet and get even closer to these two whom I quickly fell in love with. <3
“Will. Fitz. Love of my life. Devil of my dreams.”
Indiscreet is the perfect sequel to Discreet and it kept all what it promised to be. This is a page-turner you simply can’t put down until you are finished.
“I don’t know where I belong, Will! – That’s because you belong to me.”
The road ahead of Will and Maggie after the events in Maggie’s hometown is a very rocky one. There is more than one obstacle in their way. Not only physical ones in form of human beings but also psychological ones. Both have inner demons they need to fight and anxieties that they need to overcome.
“Will made me feel big when the world made me small.”
But Will and Maggie make it work. They have great chemistry and their deep and pure love for each other helps them to find their way. Together they are a strong unit that can steer a boat through any rough sea that tries to shake them up.
“How do you do it? – Do what? … – Be the air I need and take my breath away all at once.”
The pages of Indiscreet are filled with angst, love, sexy scenes and characters that breath life into this book and story: I enjoyed every minute spent with Maggie and Will.
Indiscreet is the second part of the ‘Discreet’ duet by Nicole French, it takes up a few weeks after the ending of book 1 (Discreet). Maggie’s back in the one place she never thought she’d return to and things just aren’t how she expected them to be. She left Will and now she has no idea what do.
She and Will have a hard road to travel to get back together.
Will has been searching for her ever since she ran away from him at Newman Lake, so when Benny gives him the news he’s been hoping for, he’s out the door in a second.
But, things have changed. Now, the world knows he’s still alive, Will- or Fitz and the paparazzi call him can’t go anywhere without protection. Not even to get him girl.
This book is filled with some heart-stopping moments, some that will gut you, some will make you laugh. There’s plenty of angst and frustration as well as an abundance of love and devotion.
It’s only when the ugly side of Will’s life rears its head that things start to spiral out of control. And they only get worse. Will shows a side of himself that was less than stellar.
But, it was Maggie’s new that really pulled the pin on their relationship, and sent her back to the beginning.
Can true love conquer all just like in the movies?
Well! That would be telling, lol, but suffice to say. I loved this duet and can’t recommend it highly enough
If you’re looking for a light-hearted easy read, best try somewhere else. But, if you want a book with meat and bones, this is the one for you, just make sure you read both books.
Do you know how many times I have started this review and then deleted all the words. Indiscreet left my heart rattled. I wish I can keep reading about the “after”of this story.
I adore the main characters and connected with them both. I may have became a little too possessive of Will too. When Amelia was back into the picture, I saw red. Nicole does an amazing job with this story. I was in a panic because I was not sure what the outcome would be for Will and Maggie. I was a wreck of all the emotions that I was feeling and was literally on the edge. At one point, I was heart broken for our main characters. I was not sure if they were losing themselves a bit. Will with his past and Maggie with her present.
indescribable is what I was feeling. Indiscreet has a lot of passion and at the end of the storm was the calm. I finished reading this book last night and I am still left in awe! This duet is Nicole French’s best book yet! 10 sparkling Hollywood Stars from the book cover to the story itself.
Nicole French wove a beautifully written story about everlasting love. Love that can endure all and boy does this story have it all. As Will readjusts to his old life as a mega movie star… Maggie has to adjust her life to be with him. Hollywood is not for the faint of heart she learns as she struggles with this new life of hers. But her hero is by her side and the two of them create a angst filled steamy ride that only Nicole French can write. Loved this duet it will definitely be on my reread. list!
More than I expected is dealt in this conclusion of Will and Maggie’s story. It’s not easy to read I mean watching him self destruct, the lies by omission on purpose and otherwise. A man so lost in the world he has to be in due to obligation but eats away at his soul. Maggie loyal to a fault but not a weak woman by any means unless it concerns Will. Outside influence, sabotage, jealousy, back stabbing and man the paparazzi, and invasion of privacy man this is just a small part of it. Ms French writes a compelling story that not only has you seeing more than just these two characters but also looking at how people in the industry are treated everyday. She even goes one step further in her acknowledgements by speaking of treatment she and others have received due to their race something they have no control over, just as Maggie did. It’s an amazing read, with so many elements to ponder while enjoying the range of emotions it brings forth.
Indiscreet follows Maggie and Will story after she finds out his big secret. They figure a way to be together but is not easy. This book is very emotional, full of angst, we get hateful characters from both Maggie and Will’s past. People you want to slap so hard.
A lot of things happened. Not gonna lie, not all of them made me happy, but at the end they manage to find their happiness. They fight their inner demons. Some people is not happy with Will but I know how hard it is to overcome anxiety or any other emotional disease. He loves Maggie and together they save each other.
Looking forward to the extended epilogue. I love this characters.
If you’ve read Discreet, this book is a no-brainer. Will & Lily fans will NOT be disappointed. I’m always at a loss for words when I go to review French’s books. They are just so much MORE than most of the novels I read as a heavy reader. More depth, more feelings, more everything. This novel is no exception. This book gave me so many damn feelings: excitement, lust, happiness, heartbreak, frustration, anxiety. I was angry at a main character in an extreme way, and I still might be a little bit, but what an exhilarating ride. A satisfying end to Will & Lily’s saga. I will deeply miss them.
I hate ending this author’s books, so I did what I could to prolong it, but inevitably ran out of words anyway. She is such a wonderful storyteller, she brings you right in to where ever she’s talking about, I’ve never been to LA but I’d swear I had seen it through Maggie’s eyes. The sights and sounds and smells so vivid they are real in my mind. And Will and Maggie? I wanted to smack them upside the head with my Kindle at different parts. So stubborn, can’t see the forest through the trees type of stuff. It gave me emotions writing usually doesn’t stir up in me, but thats the kind of masterful, beautiful storytelling I’ve come to expect from this author now, and why she stays at the top of my one-click author list. The main characters journeys are fraught with obstacles but poignant with plenty of lessons along the way. They don’t always make the right choices, or the easy choices, but I think thats what makes her stories so great is the amount of effort she puts into making her characters WORK toward their HEA. Or she enjoys our (her readers) collective tears, it could be either or lol
What to say.
Excellent.
Beautiful.
Heartbreaking.
It’s hard to summarize a book this good without giving my favorite parts away. So let me just make it short and sweet. This book is the perfect follow up to Discreet. I mean this book could not have been any better. I didn’t want to end and I am not ready to so I will read it again.
INDISCREET is the second instalment in Nicole French’s contemporary, adult DISCREET romance duology focusing on Hollywood actor / recluse Will ‘Fitz’ Baker, and musician/singer Maggie Sharp aka Lily Pad. INDISCREET should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book one-DISCREET.
Told from first person point of view (Maggie Sharp) INDISCREET continues to focus on the relationship between Hollywood actor / recluse Will ‘Fitz’ Baker, and musician/singer Maggie Sharp. At the end of book one –DISCREET-Will’s secrets have been revealed-his true identity and the facts leading up to his disappearance and escape from the Hollywood lifestyle have been exposed, a disappearance for which he is about to pay, As Maggie comes to terms with the who, how and why of her relationship with Will, Will is forced to finish out a contract that places Maggie in the spotlight for all of the wrong reasons. What ensues is the rekindling romance between Maggie and Will, and the fall-out as betrayal, jealousy, discrimination and the media frenzy begin to take its’ toll on our story line couple.
INDISCREET focuses on the animal that is Hollywood-the fame, the fortunes, the manipulation and greed. From the power-hungry producers to an industry rife with sexual predators, alcohol and drugs INDISCREET does not discriminate between the have and the have-nots. Alcohol knows no boundaries-everyone is susceptible; no one is safe. Maggie and Will must traverse a landscape of paparazzi and small-minded bigots as their relationship becomes headline fodder, and Maggie’s history is about to be exposed.
Nicole French pulls the reader into a cautionary tale of betrayal and revenge; family and heart ache; power, greed, loss and control. The character driven premise is spirited, raw and intoxicating; the romance is captivating and passionate; the characters are broken, flawed, charismatic and animated. INDISCREET is a spicy, gritty and intense look at the price of fame in an industry that focuses on the bottom line.
