“Holly” (The Bridal Train Book 5: A Mail Order Bride Christmas Novella) by Emberly Hart is a fantastic read. I loved Holly and Samuel’s story. This is a wonderful addition to this series, packed with romance, humor, family, Christmas, the old west, and more. I hope there are a lot more books to come in this series. Highly recommend to all fans of historical romance, the old west, family, and series.
I admire Holly in so many ways. Here is a woman who is severely down on her luck. However her positive attitude didn’t let her stay down for long. After a couple of days of morning, she gets back up and makes the best of a bad situation. When she meets her new husband, there are so many things she needs to readjust in her life and she doesn’t complain once. I loved this about her. Whether its a broken wheel or a houseful of guests who arrived early, she handles it with such grace.
Samuel was a man who was a little more of a mystery. He claimed he didn’t want a wife but the only reason I could see was that he didn’t know if he could afford one. It wasn’t that he was outright mean but he more or less ignored her. Then his family arrived early and they weren’t able to spend that much time together and learn about each other.
I liked this book in the fact that both of these individuals were lonely. They didn’t come out and say it but they admired each others work ethic and what they brought to the table as they got to know each other.
