I absolutely LOVED this story. I thought it a bit predictable but that didn’t stop me from loving these two characters! They each brought heart and soul to this book. I felt each emotion right along with characters. The storyline was about lost love and the big Why. Each felt they were wronged and didn’t know why. Now six years later they have a second chance or is it the chance to say a proper goodbye…
There were secondary characters that I enjoyed immensely. They added the love, dislike and laughter to this story. We see a family and their struggle for perfection vs not fitting the required family mold. Max was a wonderful add but I also want to mention Jolynn. She is supportive to the nth degree. Who would love someone like that in their life?
I enjoyed this book and It is a sweet story filled with emotional upheaval. The writing flows and the characters are well done. I see a second will be coming about Arties brother. I look forward to reading that.
I love these authors separately. Together they are fantastic! Don’t we all dream of the one that got away? The one we gave our heart to and they still hold it even though it’s been years? Wonder what would happen if you saw them again? This is the story of Artemis and Penelope. Once young lovers who walked away from each other years ago. Now, stranded in a random airport in the middle of nowhere on Christmas Eve, their paths cross once again. Only this time, there is so much more at stake!
This story brings out all the feels! It’s so easy to imagine myself in Penelope’s place. As I read, I could feel both of their emotions as if they were my own. This is such a well written second chance romance! Holiday Terminal is a must read this Holiday season or anytime you’re looking for a great, emotional, quick read! Five stars for Gwyn and Christy!
Holiday Terminal by Gwyn McNamee & Christy Anderson
5 stars
What a great holiday read this was. This book, while quick, packs quite the emotional punch i expect from Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson is new to me but now on my to read list.
A teenage miscommunication comes to a head over Christmas 6 years later between Penelope and Artie. These two, ugh I wanted to just shake them sometimes but we got there in the end. I can’t give away circumstances as it’ll ruin this read for anyone else as even though we know what is kind of expected, the work up to it all is so worth reading on your own.
Great read!
Holiday Terminal: (A Second Chance Secret Baby Billionaire Holiday Romance) by Gwyn McNamee & Christy Anderson is sooooooo, so good. It is one story that although a quick read, packs a punch and I got thoroughly lost in. This sweet and amazing tale had my heartstrings pulling and emotions all over the place. It is a wonderful Christmas story that is romantic and full of love and frustrations, drama and lies, angst and pain. What a team these ladies make! I enjoy their work separately but together they are an IT team. OMG I just fell in love with these characters who stole my heart.
Penelope finds herself stuck in the middle of nowhere when a storm diverts their plane BUT what she never imaged to find there was the one person who had her heart, mind and soul and left her broken but with a beautiful surprise. It is that very surprise she does not want him to find.
Artemis comes from a very wealthy family who dictate everything in his life. However, his heart was left behind with a beautiful woman he loved with his entire being. He finds himself in a town in the middle of who knows where and the one person he thought he would never see again walks back in his life. Unfortunately he finds that she has kept something from him and that is the one thing he may never forgive her for.
There is so much pain in this beautiful story but it is worth every second becoming invested in these wonderful characters and the world the IT team has created. This was an amazing journey and I can’t wait for more.
This outstanding read was well written with characters that were so well created that as I turned each and every page Penelope and Artemis lured me right into their journey as it flawlessly unfolded!
5 stars!
I LOVE a holiday romance. This book delivered in putting me in the Christmas spirit and giving me all sorts of feelings. I really love when the characters miscommunicate with each other, that may sound weird, but when I see the hurt caused by miscommunication my heart jumps a little because I know that everything will be okay in the end. Penelope and Artemis are beautiful together, I love them as a couple. Penelope did annoy me at times but overall, I understand why they were in the situation they were in. If they would have just talked everything out, things may have been different by now, but, being young and immature the first thing in your mind is to run, so that is what Penelope did. I was nervous for a minute when Artemis finds out about Max but knew deep down that everything would work out, it’s a holiday romance after all. I really enjoyed meeting all these characters, and quickly got lost in the story, I can’t wait to see what is next and would highly recommend this read.
Penelope is flying home for Christmas with her son, Max, and her mother. However, a snow storm forces them to land at a small-town airport until the storm passes. Hoping it will only be a couple of hours, the three of them hunker down in the terminal to wait out the storm…hoping to be home in time to open presents in the morning.
Artemis is on his way to New York where he plans to make a big announcement to his family. Due to the weather, he must land at an airport in the middle of nowhere and wait for the storm to pass. Imagine his surprise when he sees the girl from his past, who has grown into a beautiful woman, as another stranded passenger.
The past between Penelope and Artemis is a mix of young love and heartbreak. Both of them have their own ideas about what happened on the beach years ago…but it seems as though both of them have it wrong. Years of not talking has led to a mix of longing, anger, and distrust. Can they reignite the flame they once had? Or are secrets from the past (and Artemis’ last name) going to keep them apart once again?
I enjoyed this book and read it all in one sitting. It was an easy read and a really good story. Penelope and Artemis are both great characters who just need a little slap upside their heads to knock some sense into them…but, then again, most adults do! I enjoyed the story and will be checking out Archie’s book when it is released.
Holiday Terminal (Warren Family Holidays) by Gwyn McNamee & Christy Anderson. This is a great second chance romance read. Its the story of Penelope and Artemis who meet on the beach one summer and fall in love. Artemis is from a very prominent New York family and Penelope is a shop owner’s daughter. As the summer comes to a close a misunderstanding leaves them both with a broken heart. Penelope goes on to be a single mom and works in Nashville while Artemis continues on the families wishes of running the family business as an attorney. They both still think of each other but know they will never reconnect. 6 years after that summer Penelope, her mom and son Max are flying back to the beach for Christmas when the run into a freak snowstorm. They are stuck in a small terminal with no where to go and Penelope thinks its horrible until she runs right into Artemis who is stuck in the same terminal on his way to New York. Once Artemis sees her son Max he realizes Penelope has kept a secret from him for 6 years. Will they be able to reconnect and rekindle their relationship and be a real family or will they have even more miscommunication and lose each other forever. This is a steamy, sweet holiday read.
Holiday Terminal by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson is the Christmas romance you didn’t know you needed! A serendipitous encounter between former lovers stuck in the same small town terminal during a snowstorm on Christmas Eve has all the makings of a wonderful read! Can Penelope and Artie heal their past? Can they forgive each other for secrets kept?
This is a wonderful story that kept me turning the pages until I finished it (in mere hours). You are immediately drawn in and invested in the characters and the opportunity for them to find happiness. It’s a holiday romance you’ll remember for ages, do yourself a favor and read this one! I know I’ll be reading the next one in the series!
Holiday Terminal is book one in the Warren Family Holidays series by Gwyn MacNamee and Christy Anderson. Not having read this duo’s work, I was ecstatically blown away by this story. Penelope and Artemis share a past. It was passionate and their love burned bright, but Penelope struggled to let go of the bitterness and broken heart Artemis left her with. Finding themselves stranded together forces them to resolve their differences and get to know each other once more. Past love was rekindled, secrets were unveiled. Trying to figure out which way the pendulum would swing for them was frustratingly beautiful.
I was on the edge of my seat, holding my breath and hoping that they could sort out their differences and come together once more. You could feel the vibrant energy that was their reunion. The sexual tension was dramatic and forgiveness seemed like an impossibility. The angst was palpable. Their story spectacular. Holiday Terminal was an excellent story that ended way too soon. 5 stars for the work of this exciting and talented new partnership.
Stuck at a Terminal on Christmas Eve what can else can go south right. Penople and Artemis are about to find out after bumping into each other. Of all people why does it have to be him?
The Warren’s high class family who like to be known. Artemis and Penople have a past the list chance meeting rekindle that past. The secret so careful hidden is now out how can one trip be so life altering. PENELOPE and Artemis struggle to both adjust to this hidden secrets now been out in the open. It changes so much for both of these individuals. Why had she not told him. How will it affect both of their families. Will they see each other again. I can’t wait to read more of this series. One of my top romances I’ve read.
This was really cute. I liked it a lot, especially the second half of the book. The first half was really just the two main characters reflecting on things. Once they started interacting, it was pretty great and I couldn’t put it down.
Penelope is trying to fly to her parent’s home on the NC coast on Christmas Eve with her 5 year old son Max and her mother. They are late leaving Nashville because of a meeting than ran over and end up stranded in a tiny airport in Tennessee near the NC border due to a massive snowstorm. What she didn’t dream was that Artimas Warren, her summer love, 6 years ago when they had both graduated high school, would end up stranded at the same rinky dink airport. What were the odds? And that he would find out that Max was his son that she never told him about after he broke her heart and left her to become a puppet in his wealthy family’s dynasty. Wait. Did I say he left her? Art has a different story. She walked away from him before he could tell her his plans. Both have broken hearts. Hurt feelings. And both still have feelings for each other. Can they get past the hurt and do what is best for Max or will power and anger over rule? They only have one Christmas Eve together to sort things out.
This one snowy Christmas Eve is full of revelations and feelings and chemistry. Pen and Art both remember what they had and what they lost at the end of that fateful summer. This sweet story is one you won’t want to miss.
This was a nice holiday second chance romance. It was sweet with a little heat and a lot of heart. Penelope and Artemis deserved this opportunity to find their way back together, despite his awful family. It was a warm and lovely read!
I loved this story. Artie and Pen end up stranded together after 5 years apart. She’s got a secret that’s going to implode their lives. This was a shorter story, but it was filled with so much pain and hope. I loved seeing them both decide not to make the same mistakes again. This was a story I couldn’t put down. I can’t wait to read more of this family.
As teens they were inseparable. Their friends and his siblings knew they had a true love bond while his parents put her down any chance they had. She wasn’t good enough for their family. When the summer is over and their separation happens leaving both with broken hearts. Decisions are made and ties are broken. This chance meeting is big for both of them for different reasons. But before they can decide about tomorrow they will have to deal with their past and their present. An emotional second chance read that has some steam too, will have you all geared up for the holiday.
What would be the worst thing to happen on during your Christmas holiday? Being snowed in at a mini airport? Yes. But, coming face to face with your past and have to face one of your deepest darkest secrets you’ve kept hidden for years? Yeah, I think that tops it. Penelope comes face to face with her past and is forced to face the severity of her deep dark secret she held for years when she comes face to face with her old love Artemis. Things take an interesting turn and this is one story I just absolutely loved reading.
Christy and Gwyn did a fabulous job! And I can’t wait to read more!
Sweet holiday read . This book gives you all the feels in all the right places. If you’re like me and love the mushy suspenseful of will they? are won’t they? Then this is the book for you!
A sweet second chance romance that will put you in the holiday spirit!
A fun and enjoyable read that will keep you entertained throughout the story. Hot and steamy at its best, you will not regret this book.
