Hannah Hansen is only hoping for one thing this Christmas: someone to share her life. She’s not asking for the hottest male model, but please Santa, could he be a little bit alpha? Sensitive new age guys make great friends, but men who are decisive and slightly bossy make her tingle all over. Then handsome, rich Steve Shewchuk invites her to be his last-minute, plus one at a wedding. Hannah’s … Hannah’s hopes soar as Steve’s definitely the dominant type. But before their date is off the ground, Hannah realizes she has made a mistake. Steve’s veneer of an appealing alpha personality hides his thoughtless self absorption. In response to a call from the distressed bride-to-be, he drops Hannah a block from the church, forcing her to walk through a driving rainstorm, alone.
Hannah arrives at the church, soaked to the skin, with her expensive hairdo ruined. She realizes her hopes for a future with Steve have washed down the drain along with her mascara. When the groom, charming Charles Descôteaux helps her in her moment of distress, there is an instant, electrical connection between them.
Could Charles be the assertive man she’s been hoping for? When Charles needs her help, will she be brave enough to rally to his side?

I really enjoyed this holiday read! Hannah Hansen accompanied her rich date, Steve, to a wedding, but he deserted her so he can be with the bride who was his ex-girlfriend. Charles, the groom to be, asks Hannah to assist him in telling the church the wedding has been cancelled. Hannah and Charles are instantly drawn to one another. I recommend this well written over-the-top quick read novella which has a fun plot with a humorous and delightful storyline with passion, steamy attraction, and a wonderful holiday romance with a touch of spice.

The story is short, yet well written and has a lot of story within it’s pages. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it’s enjoyable and you’ll find yourself smiling throughout it. Hannah goes to a wedding with Steve, who only asked her to get back at his ex, Abby. Abby ends up standing up the groom, Charles, at the wedding. Hannah and Charles meet at his wedding and things develop from there. Watching their romance develop from there was enjoyable.

At the beginning of this story when Hannah was crushing on Steve I didn’t think he should be for her. Hannah was so caring about her family and her animals. Then Hannah found that Steve was only using her to get back to his ex, Abby who is the bride getting married to Charles who ends up with Hannah. Wow, what a mess. I’m just glad the right people ended up with the right people. Makes sense. Loved the HEA in this story. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This story is so perfect for this season. I loved how Charles and Hannah interacted. It is sweet and sexy at the same time. This author really knows how to write so that you feel like you can see the scene. And the one in the church when Hannah gets up is perfect. It made me smile so hard. This is a story that will bring light to your holiday.

I really enjoyed this holiday novella. Heather is a neighbor’s plus one for a wedding. Once she gets there, she meets the groom, Charles and helps him out when he is explaining to the wedding guests that the wedding has been canceled. Heather and Charles find that there is a mutual attraction between them. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have to admit that when the book first started out, all I could think was that Steve seemed like such a moron and I didn’t know how the author was going to make him in to a likeable character. Little spoiler – she doesn’t. Steve was just a means to and end. Steve was Hannah’s way of meeting Charles. You see, Steve asked Hannah to be his date to Charles and Abby’s wedding. From the moment he picks her up, things begin to go sideways. One catastrophe after another happens and leaves Hannah drenched and naked in a church basement. Luckily for her, Steve hooks back up with the bride, his ex, which leaves Charles to fill his evening with someone new. Hannah and Charles have instant attraction and also share a secret love for some BDSM antics. This novella is sure to get some steam going for the reader and also leaves you with a HEA.
When Hannah’s crush asks her for a favor, she ends up saving face for another…at his wedding. Soon, she is with a man who is the answer to her spanking dreams. This is a cute spanking story. Not crazy long, but a good read.
