Holiday Homecoming Secrets by Lynette Eason is an intriguing story. The action begins right away and does not let up until the end. I found Holiday Homecoming Secrets to be well-written and it moved at a quick pace. Lynette Eason certainly knows how to ramp up the suspense. I thought the characters were realistic and relatable (well, except for the killer). The story has a complex plot that kept me engaged. Jade Hollis is a detective with Cedar Canyon Police Department and has a five year old daughter named Mia. Bryce Kingsley has returned to his hometown after being gone for six years to establish a PI practice. He has no idea that Jade had a child after their one night encounter. I bet he will regret not contacting her now! Bryce had been dealing with some rough stuff and he is still not completely free of his demons. He has an adorable dog, Sasha who travels with him. The pair must put personal issues aside while they search for their friend and journalist, Frank Shipman. I enjoyed the multifaceted mystery with the dangerous encounters. I like that it is balanced with time spent with the kids, Jade’s parents, and trimming the tree. The romance hit just the right note. I was worried it would be the prominent feature of the book, but I was wrong. The author managed to create an intriguing and balanced story. I liked the addition of the parents who foster children and currently have siblings residing with them. You will not want to put down this page turner. Holiday Homecoming Secrets is an enthralling story with has cute kids, a darling dog, a predatory perp and serious secrets.
I enjoyed this story and the many twists and turns it took on the way to its conclusion.
Since I totally love reading books by Lynette Eason, I was delighted to be chosen to read and review this book. It was everything I had hoped for and more! Ms. Eason knows how to tell a good story, with believable characters and a twist at the end that leaves the culprit a secret until the very end. The book is action-packed from the very beginning. It is quick-paced, with suspense building throughout. Detective Jade Hollis is working to find her missing friend Frank, unfortunately presuming that he is dead. PI Bryce Kingsley has returned to town at Frank’s request so that he can try to find out if something underhanded is happening in the police department. Both of the protagonists have a past, with each other and a secret one. Jade has a daughter that is the result of a one-night stand with Bryce. I must say that I was a little perturbed by finding this included in a Christian romantic suspense, but I continued to read and was glad that I did. Bryce’s secret is that he lost his leg during the war and is dealing with PTSD. Jade’s parents are fostering twins from a neglectful home and also helping Jade to take care of Mia. This book is one of the most well-planned books that I have ever read, with the pacing and the suspense working together to keep me enthralled. I highly recommend this book to fans of romantic suspense!

I loved the suspense in this one! I was guessing up until the end on what really happened. Add in miscommunication and secrets from the past, romance and mystery.
This book pretty much had it all. From a complex crime plot to a slow friends to family romance, plus the healing of some old wounds. The pages turned from the very first until the end. Not an uncommon happening in a Lynette Eason novel. I read this quite quickly and recommend this for any romantic suspense fans, or people who enjoy Christmas stories.
Be ready for a book that will grab you and not let go, there is action around every corner, and most you won’t see coming.
You will think you know whom is perpetrating the evil, but found myself questioning my guesses, and changing my mind.
There is a strong family group here, and they embrace their loved ones, and we witness this up close, but the danger is lurking. There are some very big secrets being kept here, and when they are revealed will they be accepted?
Yes, I was surprised by the outcome here, and saddened, whom to trust?
Once this one is picked up, you will need to keep reading for answers!

Bryce Kingsley is finally home after a long period when he did not keep in touch with many of his friends. He has rented an office in town and is ready to set himself up as a private investigator. But first his friend Frank Shipman has asked him to help with an investigation he has ongoing of a drug ring and police corruption. Bryce gets permission to ride along with the local police as he has told them he is thinking of becoming a policeman. Bryce is riding along with Officer Dylan Fitzgerald when the call comes in for backup for Detective Jade Hollis. Jade is at a deserted textile mill investigating after a call in about strange lights there. She assumes it’s just a local homeless man who has been seen there before. After hearing noises near the back wall Jade moves to see what’s going on when she is attacted from behind, pushed and stumbles against empty spindles. Officer Fitzgerald and Bryce arrive at the location just in time to see someone jumping out a broken window. The police officer gives chase as Bryce enters the structure to find Jade. From this point on Jade and Bryce face much danger and their time together jogs their former feelings for each other.
Holiday Homecoming Secrets by Lynette Eason is a tense thriller with lots of action. Someone is trying to kill Jade and Bryce is determined to keep her safe. These two characters find they must face their pasts to move on to their future. I enjoyed reading along as these characters grew and found their strength in loving each other. Lynette Eason is a very talented author and I really enjoyed this story.
