By day, I manage The Hole Punch, and it isn’t as sexy as it sounds. It’s an office supply store–not an establishment for vibrators and butt plugs. By nighttime though, that’s when I unleash an exciting passion of mine–one that I’m not prepared to share just yet.I don’t have the time or the energy for a relationship right now. Besides, sex with colleagues is always a bad idea. Now, sex with … with customers? That’s something I can get on board with, especially since Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome keeps showing up and setting my insides on fire. Although I don’t know his name or what he does, I can only imagine what he needs with piles of paper, pens, post-its, and highlighters.
Maybe one day, if I’m lucky, I can manage his hole-punch.

Have you ever worked in retail?
If you have you know the struggle is real.
Getting to know these characters was so fun, I loved every one of them!
There are people in our lives that we never know we make an impact on with a simple smile and kindness, that is captured in this book more than once, and it was a breath of fresh air even after a re~read.
This is a story that I didn’t come across often while reading and I really enjoyed learning their secrets. I was sad, scared at times, hopeful, and excited to see where what direction they would choose.
Susan did a knock out job with this one, she knows how to make things interesting, to say the least.
If you need a fun loving, laugh out loud, “who would do that?” kind of book then this one is IT! I couldn’t imagine people doing some of the things that happen in this store, yikes…bless you all, lol.
It will make me think of her often as I am browsing the office supply store or driving past the local mechanics. This book was so much fun. Way to go Susan, you nailed this one! 😉
A perfect light rom-com to warm your heart!
I knew this was gonna be a fun book when Jenna’s best friend calls her “Jizzy”! And ti make her even more human, the amount if word vomit that comes out of her mouth causes many laughs through rhe whole book!
Jenna works as a manager at The Hole Punch, an office supply store. (Insert sexual inuendo here, because it happens all throughout the book!)
Then theres Jacoby, a man that Jenna has had her eye on, who comes in to biy enough paper, highlighters and pens to stock a college. When there’s an incident with an iced mocha, Jacoby gives Jenna the shirt off his back. But when she finds herself broke down on the side of the road, Jacoby comes to the rescue; giving her more than just a ride in his tow truck!
Insecurities that Jenna has has her running time and again, only to have Jacoby refusing to give up on her and them!
And a secret that Jacoby has kept hidden from many people, he begins to feel the need to tell her. She convinces him ro embrace himself and all he is, even spilling the beans to his father the governor!
It was a beautiful story of love and all it entails; the good the bad and the ugly.
Also, who knew porn caused THAT many viruses?!
Yes, I’m recommending my own book BECAUSE – when you read HOLE PUNCHED, you’ll be ready to get to know one of our secondary characters, Jack Schmidt! The Schmidt Load Novella Series starts with YOU DON’T KNOW JACK SCHMIDT and you don’t want to miss it! Have a little bit of fun and get to know our new friend, Jack!
This is a funny romance with two very different people who both have odd fathers and weird occupations. Jenna makes lingerie and works in a stationary story. She was hurt by an old lover. Jacoby is a senator’s son who has a tow truck business and writes erotica in secret. I like the characters and their chemistry. Plus, the plot is well written and fun.
Short review. Was purchased free at Amazon and the first that I have read by Susan Renee but not the last. The cover drew me to this book because it wasn’t your typical romance book cover. The story had the right balance of humor, romance and insecurity, you’ll laugh at all the sexual innuendos that these characters of a tenuous to word vomit out of their mouths. The secondary characters are interesting and witty that you’ll love them just as much as are leads Jenna and Jacoby. I would love for this book turn into a series books.
5 “I believe in fairy tales” Stars
Sometimes I want to punch myself in the face for not reading an author sooner. This is one of those times. I hear Susan Renee does amazing things with angst, but I got to experience her humor first and for that I am thankful. I also think it’ll prepare me for the tears I am bound to shed when I dive into Seven.
“I believe in the power of a kiss.”
Anyway, here we meet Jenna. She works at the Hole Punch with her bestie, Linda. Hottie customer, Jacoby is the candy of Jenna’s eye and she really wants a piece. But how does one make that happen? She’s the employee, he’s the customer. Is there a good way to approach this man?
He’s hot in that I’m-not-sure-if-he’s-a-good-guy-or-a-bad-boy-but-either-way-is-okay kind of way.
Turns out, there is! Yay! Susan gives this couple an excellent opportunity to make the sex happen. Or at least a date. Or whatever. Anyway, it’s pure comedic gold and I couldn’t get enough.
“…not that smelling like mocha is a bad thing…” He trails off for a moment and I catch him ogling my wet chest. “Come to think of it, neither is looking at a girl in a wet t-shirt, but, you know.” He shrugs. “I wouldn’t want all your customers staring at you all day.”
“Oh? And why not? Because my chest is for your viewing pleasure only?”
“That’s not what I meant, although if you’re offering your chest up to my eyes only I would probably be a fool not to take advantage at least once,” he responds.
A hot, passionate hook-up is just what these two need, right? But what do you do when you feel that deep connection you know you’ve been missing? Can you continue with the hook-up or do you have to dive head first into a relationship? Is there middle ground?
“Stay with me tonight.”
But what happens when this little hook-up turns serious? What happens when you begin sharing your dirty little secrets with the other person? Can you count on them to keep those secrets? Are you risking too much?
“I just want you. Here. With me.”
These two have their own baggage, but they are set on their path to overcome that baggage. At the very least, they are set on seeing each other and that takes more trust than either have given anyone in a very long time.
“Don’t look back, Jenna. You’re not going that way.”
