I think I read a short story about this, like an into or from an anthology. But even though I haven’t read the series, I still loved the story. The characters were fun, even though they were so dysfunctional! I need to read this series!

Magical Showdown Comes At Last
This excellent episode in the series ties up a few of the details. Yes, the reader really needs to read these stories in order. This book had me on edge until I could finish reading it. It has a lot of action, surprises, and awesome magic. I have loved this series and can’t wait to see what happens next. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
Continuing on in the Magical Midway Series, Charlotte’s familiar, Samson, has been catnapped and things are amping up as the suspect list grows. Things are tense and tempers flare. Who is behind all of this madness? This one is fast-paced and full of twists and turns. Total page turner! Didn’t want to put it down! Loved it!
Book seven in the Magical Midway Paranormal Cozy Mysteries series, a well written story that had me smiling at somethings. Samson gets kidnapped, Charlotte and Gunther have a lot to go through this time, there is suspense, drama, danger, and something happens that they both do not know how. I enjoyed reading this book. I hope there is more to come in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Charlotte has always struggled with being “magic”; because her parents chose to bring her up in the human town of Mickwac with their animal shelter, though her parents allowed her to spend one week every summer at the Circus, but this was no ordinary Circus this is the Magical Midway circus, where Djinns man the food stalls and the horses might be kelpies or centaurs! Magic is abound, but having grown up essentially human when Uncle Phil passed away and Charlotte was made Ringmaster, with help from Samson the cat who is not just a feline familiar but the embodiment of the Magical Midway Charlotte starts a whole new magical life touring with the Magical Midway, every stop has brought new adventures and new characters and a future looming in front of them, though it has also brought love with Gunther.
In this installment we are still in Mickwac but we are missing w beloved character, Samson is missing! And theories abound as to who catnapped him, could it be the Witched Council, in a defiant step to bring the Midway down! Could it be Mickwac’s criminal elite? Who seem to be more aware of all things magical than any human should be? Or as she looks deeper it could be someone closer to home?
Charlotte is really struggling with magic and humanity and combing the two! And trying to keep the Midway running without Samson’ snarky guidance is hard going.if only she could wish for him to be home safe and sound…….where is a Djinn when you need one??
Then a pile of glitter is found, and chaos ensues!
Charlotte has to find Samson,, figure out who killed Jeannie and all around her the Magical Midway is running into chaos!
I loved this installment it is so full of action, it does not stop from the opening right till the promise at the end that the fun will carry on into book 8!
We are getting to know some of the newer characters the is she isnt she of Tabatha, but we are also learning more about characters we have loved since the start, Charlotte and her mismatched views of magic, where other in her position would go straight to magic every time she doesn’t still relying on her humanity as a way of thinking, Fiona her oldest friend in the circus, is that a bit of the green eyed monster?!
Certainly if you stumble on to this book I think it would throw you for a loop, you really need to start at book 1 – Witchiest Circus on Earth, in my opinion you could not read these books as a standalone, you would give up . However if you start on book 1, you won’t come up for air till you get to the end of this one, and then like me you will be aching for book 8! You will grow with Charlotte and Gunther and Fiona, Uncle Phil, Jeannie and all of the other great characters, because Leanne Leeds can do one thing well, and that is character building, her characters are amazing, you can really feel Charlotte’s struggle to feel accepted and to be accepted as the Ringmaster, especially as though Uncle Phil is dead he is still here! We see the love blossom between her and Gunther and how they overcome the obstacles to be together., Her friendships with human friends and magical friends. Leanne Leeds is a fantastic world builder, I almost feel I could be visiting the circus (I wish I could!!!)

Can Charlotte find Samson before it’s too late?
Sampson has been catnapped, Jeannie is nothing but a pile of sparkles which in the paranormal world means she’s been killed. The town gangsters know about the paranormal world and Charlotte can’t tell friend from foe! Just another day in the live of a paranormal Ringmaster. The story is a bit frantic and chaotic but another great addition to the series. What will the next installment bring? Can’t wait to find out!!

This is the seventh book in this series, and probably the best so far, I was rather disappointed with book 6, but this one has certainly redeemed the series.
The world that has been created by this series is original and very well developed, with magical circuses which can move about instantaneously and appear as normal mortal circuses to the non-magical general public, but which are also engaged in a fight for survival with the witches council.
The characters are are also well imagined, with the author using the magical realm to create a great paranormal population of the circuses, Charlotte and Gunther are also well developed as the two lead characters, and their relationship is believable, or as believable as imaginary paranormal characters can be! And then of course there is Samson, the magical cat with extraordinary powers, who has been kidnapped.
The story in this book clears up a lot of questions that were asked in the previous one, and generally moves the plot along nicely, there are some nice tender moments, some exciting passages and some humour, which all balances out nicely.

Hole Lotta Magic is another fun read from Leanne Leeds and is the seventh installment in her the Magical Midway cozy paranormal series. Ms. Leeds character and world building make you feel you know these people.
I really enjoy a these totally enjoyable and relaxing stories. Charlotte’s experiences moving from being a normal human to becoming Ringmaster of a magical circus full of paranormals fits the bill. There is always someting to challenge her right to be the Ringmaster. If it’s not the Witches Council it’s humans wanting magic.
Samson, Chatlotte’s feline familiar and the heart of the circus, has been catnapped and everyone is scrambling to find him. If they don’t find him could this be the beginning of the end for the Magical Midway?
Why would someone take him and why? Is it the newest Mickwac criminal elite who seem to know about her magical powers or could it be a new devious plan of the Witches Council? The more Charlotte investigates the more questions there are about about Tabitha’s possible involvement. Is Tabitha still her best friend or has the Witches Council turned her?
This is a fun read, but there are lessons to be learned regarding trust, lies, secrets, and power hungry desires in this page turning, thoroughly enjoyable story. All this deserves 5 stars. I2m looking forward to Charlotte’s next misadventure

A whole lot of something- mostly loopholes. Many threads that were unraveled in the corse of this series are tangled up now with new skeins.
This is one of those finale books you read and say: Wow! Then : Wait! What happened to…. It bears more than a single read through.
Betrayals that we’re hidden come to light, not all in awful ways.
A new world- yet not entirely.
This is not yet the end – and really a number of new beginnings.
Plenty of action, romance, all sorts of paranormal stuff, and the good, bad and all sorts of other things.
All kinds of crazy intense- and just plain crazy!

Charlotte Astley, Ringmaster of the Magical Midway, was incredulous – how did a crazy person steal her super-powered cat right in front of a room full of witches!!! The elderly Ethel Elkins continued to sit calmly, knitting and humming while Charlotte ranted. Then she turned to Devana, the graceful and deadly huntress, and told her to locate the cat.
Their argument mostly consisted of Charlotte’s relying on human logic versus solving problems through magic. But Charlotte didn’t really trust magic, though she wouldn’t say that out loud. Her hope now rested on Uncle Phil’s girlfriend, Jeannie, who could grant Charlotte’s wish that her familiar, Samson, would return home. But with Uncle Phil’s grieved shout, they all ran to find that a pile of glitter in the center of her food cart was all that remained of Jeannie! They were aware that anyone paranormal that passes away on the fairgrounds turns into glitter so that the humans won’t see the death or have access to the paranormal’s body to investigate. Since a djinn has no soul, Jeannie is truly gone and even a witch cannot contact her to see who did this. Everyone was fearful, both from Samson’s disappearance and Jeannie’s murder, and fear was causing them to make unreasonable accusations.
With Samson kidnapped, criminal activity is escalating in the human town of Mickwac and is getting out-of-hand. Charlotte and Gunther try to find who is responsible for stealing Samson and taking him to Mickwac, but they are no longer sure if they can trust those around them! Can Charlotte figure this out before she loses not only Samson but the balance between the paranormal and human communities?
First recommendation – don’t start with Book 7. Aside from the large number of characters you will meet, you may feel totally lost in the story for a little bit! Once the characters are sorted out, the story line takes the reader further into the excitement as Charlotte tries to rescue her cat and identify the culprit. Grab your copy and follow along in the chase after justice!
Great story line, characters are fun, snarky, abrasive, clueless, evil but redeemable, and just wonderful. I love the books, sad when they are finished, and can not wait for the next one.
