I simply LOVE all of Harlan Corbin’s books ! He is a master at writing.
I have never been disappointed in a Harlen Coben novel, this was no exception, hard to put down. I think I have already read this but enjoyed it (again?)!
I really enjoy his novels and this was no exception. Thoroughly enjoyed this one and look forward to the next one.
Harlan Coben never fails to deliver a well-crafted gripping tale. He expertly taps into the fears and difficulties most parents experience in trying to foster independence, while keeping their adolescents safe. I always reach for his books first.
At first, it seems that different things are going on with different characters. As the story progresses, the reader wonders how or even if these incidents are related. Then they do and WOW! Super read.
Awesome. I am hooked on anything by Harlan Cobin
Great characters. Good mystery. Held my attention almost too well. I didn’t want to go to sleep . Definitely enjoyed this writer
A couple’s son vanishes just after the suicide of his best friend. The parents, who had been worrying about him anyway, installed a spy program on his computer to try and figure out what is going on with him (raising ethical questions about how far you can pry into your child’s life). Something terrible happened the night of the one boy’s suicide that links him to the vanished son. There are some good issues raised about the lengths to which parents need to go to protect their kids from their own decisions.
I have only recently been turned on to Harlan Coben by my friend Stephen King (he talks of him in his new book The Outsider). I like him!
This is only the second book I have read of his buy I note possible trend to have several seemingly unconnected characters and crises converge. That can be fun and interesting but it can also take you out of the “world” he is creating due to the incredulity of it all. But that aside…
Hold tight is a great read and the characters are sympathetic albeit 2 dimensional. I liked that story and action involved children, teens, and adults. I also noted he recycled a few of the ideas/concepts he used in this book for his Netflix original “Safe”. This book is a great summer beach book! Enjoy the ride…and hold tight!
It’s a page turner
I LOVE everything Coben has written—-I’ve read them all!
,
Love, love, love this author. He always writes action-packed, page-turners and this book was just that.
Fantastic! Holds your attention, and continues to do so. Very entertaining.
It was really a interesting book. What would you do as a parent. Lots to think about.
