Two and a half years ago, we made a plan—had our life all mapped out—knew where we were going and how we were getting there. It was the four of us against the world and we were so close to having everything we wanted. But life had other plans for us.Now, rodeo has become Chase’s primary focus, and he leaves our girls and me home while he follows his dreams week in, and week out. We’ve lost so much … much already. I’m afraid if he doesn’t come back to us soon, resentment will set in and our marriage will fail.Do we have what it takes to make it through one more season? Or will this be the end of our dreams? And our marriage?Eight seconds… That’s all it takes to change our lives forever.

Much more than a cowboy romance. This is a lifestory of two people who fell in love at a very early age, changed their goals as needed or maybe wanted. It’s the grit of a cowboy’s life chasing that elusive World Championship, always just one more rodeo, one more ride, one more season.
It’s the life of a family who backs their cowboy 100%, no matter their hearts are in their throats, they’re watchin’, not breathing, until that golden eight second buzzer sounds and they let out the collective breaths they’ve been holding, only to stop again, eyes wide open, praying for a safe dismount or landing.
They’re either lucky or smart enough to be able to retire without injury.
My heart was in my throat waiting, turning pages until it finally happened.
Written so well to pull you in, like one of the family, until you’re just as vested as the characters that seem so life-like. And it’s not just about the cowboy, he’s gotta be a husband, a daddy, a provider, and a protector. Balancing act of his lifetime.
A great read, the buildup was fantastic, I did think the climactic portion was so emotional, and the rest of the journey … well I would’ve loved more details on the goodness that followed, but I believe that’s probably up there in book 2.
A stand alone with a happy ending, thank goodness, this covered the emotional realm, drama, and eight seconds on a rank bull is plenty of adrenaline inducing action for this reader. There is Cody’s journey in the next book, and I look forward to reading more about Chase, Allie and their little munchkins hopefully while Cody gets the love of his life
WOW this story is beautiful in so many ways. Do you often wonder what happens after you get the HEA, you always hope they have babies and keep the fire burning. But what happens when life happens? This is this story, it gives you more of what happens, it gives you the life of Chase and Allie as they muddle through work, life and kids. I LOVED every part of this book.
Here is more of my review https://youtu.be/swsSNJxDDZ8
This is a new author to me and this is the first in a new series. Chase and Allie have the perfect marriage, and facing life as a united front. When Chase is following his dream as rodeo star, Allie is left at home to manage their little girls and farm alone, and the separation is having a negative effect on the family unit. Can they prevail over obstacles that life has a habit of throwing in their path? This is a beautifully written story which has a realistic plot and characters. I highly recommend for all.
I really enjoyed this book especially that it was already about a married couple and how they deal with rodeo life and family life. The main characters are Chase and Allie and their love for each other is so strong and endearing it kept me gripped to the story. This book makes you believe in love again and I look forward to reading Cody’s story.I voluntarily read and reviewed a advanced copy arc.
This is the first book I’ve read from Anjelica. Chase and Allie are so in love with each other they have 2 little girls Aubrey and Ava Allie stays home with they girls Chase is out trying to make life better for his family but they marriage is having it’s ups and downs on till Chase gets hurt Allie is by his side for better or worse. I fell in love with this couple the end was a happy ever after. Great story worth reading I finished in 4 days well written can’t wait to read about Cody
After reading the prequel novella, More Than Winning, I could not get my hands on this book fast enough. I love my cowboys and grew up going to rodeos, so this book had me hooked from the first page. Chase and Allie face life as a rodeo family together, while both of them had very different perspectives on the way of life, they are a united front to face life together. Life is hard for this rodeo family, Chase is gone more than he is home, leaving Allie to handle the ranch and their girls. He has a dream, what he doesn’t tell Allie is why this champion bull rider is pushing himself more this season. He wants to secure their future, in more ways than one.
Allie sees their girls growing up without enough of their dad’s time. While one wants to follow in his rodeo boots, the other is interested in everything but rodeo. However, when Chase is home he is the best daddy in the world. He loves his girls and his wife fiercely and wants nothing more than to increase their family.
For a new author Ms. Grace has her finger on the pulse of her characters and portrays their actions and emotions with an authenticity that few first-time writers do. Her emotional portrayal of the heartache of losing a child and the fight to conceive is spot on having been there myself. Ms. Grace crafted a nearly perfect family story encompassing all the things a great story needs: family, loyalty, friendship, humor, conflict, passion, steamy scenes, and above all else love. Her writing is well-paced and her characters so well-developed they jump off the page and into the reader’s heart. I highly recommend this book, even if you don’t know anything about rodeo and cowboys because the story is beautiful and heartwarming. I cannot wait to see what this author comes up with next.
O.M.G!!!
Talk about Holding on Tight!! This book will be having you do that, and plus some!! What an emotional rollercoaster of emotions, a page turner, and an amazing story!!!!
I loved the story of Chase and Allie, and their girls!! WOW!! I couldn’t put it down and had to finish it and see what happened next!
Chase and Allie are married, but Chase is married more to the Rodeo than Allie. Allie is taking care of their girls back home, and is getting run down. Chase is all about the rodeo, and don’t know if he can give it up. Longer stretches between rides, longer days between phone calls. What is Allie to do.
Then an unfortunate accident happens with one of their girls, and Chase thinks, should I change things? Just this year to finish up and win the title, and then he had plans.
Twists and turns, and unforeseen events happened, (I don’t wanna ruin it for someone that hasn’t read it yet), and Chase has to change up everything that he had planned for him and his family.
OMG! I can’t get over the “high fives” from Allie and the girls to Chase.
Thank goodness Cody was there to help along the way. I can’t wait to read his story!!!
Can Allie make Chase see what he has at home, and to step away from the Rodeo?
Can Chase let Allie in again?
I loved the storyline, the characters, the plot, just everything!!!
My fave quotes from the book:
1. “Will you give him a high five? Tell him it’s a special one from me, he’ll know what it is.” – OMG!! Ava made me cry!!!! It’s a special high five alright!
2. Then he looks at Cody, and Cody looks at him, and I swear to God they had a conversation with that one look. – That’s how close Cody and Chase are! I love it!
3. “Nothing could ever take me from you. Not the rodeo. Not all the money in the world. I’m yours. I will always be yours.” – SWOON MOMENT!!!!
I love the relationship between Chase and Allie it’s real and makes you laugh and cry and when they get together it gets hot.. I love my cowboys.
This is the first book that I have read from Anjelica. She gained a fan with this one. A story about a family that deals with the ups and downs of life. Anyone can easily relate to this book. I loved it from beginning to end. She instantly grips you and has you holding on to the very end. Some very shocking heart stopping moments in this one. There was even a couple of times I wanted to cry. Now that right there makes it a good book. Her writing is amazing and the characters are excellent. I absolutely love the two little girls in this book. Aubrey and Ava are the cutest. I love how each one is so different from each other but are still so strong through everything. Allie and Chase are the perfect couple. Through everything they face they never give up their love. This was truly an amazing book. One I highly recommend. I am so hoping that we get one from Cody next as he was a great addition to this storyline and family and I would so love his story too.
If you started with “More Than Winning,” this is Chase and Allie a couple of years later. Chase is still hitting the rodeo circuit hard and it’s taking its toll on Allie and his daughters, especially Allie. It’s a rocky road they are traveling with some pretty big hurdles yet to come. You may wonder if their love is strong enough to survive or will Chase’s love of bull riding cause him to not only sacrifice his family but also his life?
This is an emotion charged tale, filled with a roller coaster of feelings that will tug hard on your heartstrings and may, at times, bring you to tears. Chase and Allie are strong characters, but their love for each other and their family will be sorely tested, and you can feel their struggles, as well as their triumphs, in every page. It’s a wonderful love story that you will find easy to read but hard to put down. I strongly recommend this very engaging and entertaining romance!
“It is the mistress who keeps my husband away from home far too often.”
Rodeo. Man, now that is one hell of a tough gig, right? The men and women who make a living—or try to—working the rodeo circuit are both amazing and crazy. The schedule is intense. The risk of injury is astronomical. But if you ask any one who’s living that life if they’d do something else, the majority will answer no. It’s in their blood, sweat and tears.
And that’s just how Chase feels. And his wife, Allie fully supports him and his goal to win big this year. But it’s at a cost too. While Chase is living and loving his life—he’s missing home, his wife and his daughters. But this year is his to win, right? He’s got it . . .
Allie tries to take life one day at a time—some days are easier than others. She just wants to give her daughters a chance to grow up “normal” with a normal schedule, normal activities. Sure, she supports Chase, loves him wholeheartedly, misses him immensely while he’s away, but she’s also starting to resent Chase for missing out on big things in life.
Man, I absolutely loved Hold on Tight. The strength of the love and trust in Allie and Chase’s relationship was enviable. They had each other’s backs regardless of what was going on—in good times and bad. And in the absolute worst of times. They were tested . . . and it wasn’t an easy win. But they managed to come out stronger, better, and together in the end.
“We just have to hold on tight until this crazy ride ends.”
“I won’t let go if you won’t.”
“I’ll hold on for all eternity.”
This was my first book by this author and it will not be my last. I cannot wait for more in this fantastic Cowboys & Angels series. ~ Missy, 5 stars

This one is a little different. Allie and Chase are living there HEA, but there are some bumps in the road. Chase’s rodeo career is putting a lot of strain in his family. You can feel the tension. It’s a book that shows what real life would look like as this family struggles with every day issues normal families deal with. This book packs in the feels. I’m laughing, crying, and smiling while reading this one. Chase with his little girls just melts my heart. Then the romantic moments between Chase and Allie, just swoon. This is an easy book to get into and one that’s hard to out down. Anjelica Grace is a new to me author and I’m a huge fan of her writing style in this one. She’s gained a new reader for sure.
Hold on Tight is a story that reflects life’s ups and downs, a family that goes through good times and the worst of times, displaying what marriage means after you say “I do” and the story really begins.
Life isn’t all sunshine and roses. It’s hard work, compromise, tears and heartbreak, but it’s also love and partnership, knowing you have someone to confide in and laugh with at the end of the day.
Hold on Tight is the story of Chase and Allie deep in marriage, already with two children and on track with successful careers, but at this point Chase is on the road more than he’s home. He’s chasing his dream to be the world’s best bull rider and that’s only done from the back of a bull riding the circuit. That means Allie is home raising their two daughters basically alone. He loves chasing his dream, but also feels guilty for being gone. He clearly loves his family which makes him very likeable.
To add to the aloneness and crazytime schedule on the homefront, Allie feels like a failure when it comes to getting pregnant with their third child, which isn’t exactly her fault considering her husband is gone more than he’s home, but the feelings of guilt still don’t help. She wants her husband home just as much as her daughters do, but how can you ask the man you love to give up on his dreams? Allie doesn’t want to voice how much she wants Chase home because she’d never stop him from doing what he loves, but watching her children miss him on a daily basis is a heartache that runs deep.
At the end of the day, even when two souls want to have different goals, and especially when times get tough, they still care deeply about their family and about each other. Chase and Allie have a deep relationship that tests their marriage constantly, actually, that is what marriage is, like I said, it’s not all sunshine and roses, but even when you are mad or angry and may not like your family at the end of the day you still love your family no matter what.
There are so many factors that play into this story, I connected with it both as a mother and a wife. As much as I love reading characters falling in love, this was a refreshing change to feel connected to someone else who also shares my frustrations in raising a family and dealing with an absent husband.
Anjelica Grace has written a beautiful love story about the trials and tribulations of marriage and making the right decisions. I love how the story flowed and felt like everything was perfected. There were times I felt aggravated with the hero, but that’s not the fault of the author, just the decisions he made. It added enough dramatic flair to make it quite the read, that’s for sure! In the end though, I loved seeing the flaws within the hero and it made the book seem very realistic.
This is the first book in the series but their is a prequel to the story. I personally haven’t had a chance to read it yet but I plan to because I simply cannot get over these characters. If you didn’t read it prior to this one it’s not a problem. This book can stand completely on it’s own.
This is my first book by the author and it won’t be my last! She wrote a wonderful debut here and I am excited to see where she takes the series next. Anjelica Grace if definitely an author to watch out for!
Hold On Tight was a great read. The plot was written well and flowed perfectly. The storyline did start off a little slow for me, but after a couple of chapters it picked up and I couldn’t put it down. This book definitely had some serious feels. I cried tears of joy and sorrow, got frustrated, and even wanted to throw my Kindle.
I loved the characters of Allie and Chase and admired their love for one another. The author really made me feel what those two had. I wanted to slap Chase a few times; he was one stubborn man but a perfect dad and husband. I loved Allie’s personality; she was the sweetest woman and wanted nothing other than to have her family home all of the time.
Hold on Tight was my first read by Anjelica Grace and is the first book in the Cowboys and Angels series. It can be read as a standalone. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
Anjelica wrote a great story about the real life challenges that marriages deal with. I love that we got to see that Chase & Allie love each other, in spite of the things that make life difficult. There were all sorts of feels while I was reading both good & bad. While it’s not usually the escape I prefer when I’m reading, it was a very good book! Anjelica is a very talented writer!
This book gives a look at both sides of the rodeo, we get to know Chase for a bit while he’s home. He’s practicing on the bulls he raises and nursing a shoulder injury. His daughter Ava loves riding and wants to be a part of the rodeo too, she follows all his stats and watches when her Mom allows it. His other daughter Aubrey is more into dance and gymnastics, she’s afraid of anything but a casual horseback ride.
Chase’s wife Allie knows the rodeo life, she was a part of it for a long while. She never speaks of it and now they have children she rarely accompanies him. They have a good life, they raise bulls for the circuit a profitable endeavor and have dedicated ranch-hands and managers.
However since Allie miscarried, Chase has been on the road more than home. She misses him and the girls often squabble over little things.
It’s not an easy life and right now Chase and his best friend Cody are the top bull-riders on the circuit. Chase wants to take it all this year. He has plans he hasn’t shared with Allie.
A freak accident with Ava has Chase home for a bit longer then usual and he really gets some insight into what’s going on at home with Allie and the girls. However the one thing both he and Allie have wanted hasn’t happened. They want another child, but so far it hasn’t happened.
It this almost obsession that drives him to an exhibition that while the money is good, will change everything for them.
I laughed, held my breath, cheered and cried in this book. There’s plenty of love and some sizzle throughout. The girls antics especially with Cody are hysterical, all with an accurate depiction of the rodeo and the dangers therein.
I didn’t realize there was a prequel when I started this book, I am going to read that before I continue the series with Cody’s story.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect going into this story as this is a new author for me but I was hooked straight away, I enjoyed the whole story from start to finish. I enjoyed reading about the ups and downs the characters faced and how they overcome them to come out stronger on the other side of their issues. A very good and enjoyable story.
Hold on Tight by Anjelica Grace
I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.
Seriously sweet cowboy romance. Allie and Chase are married with two beautiful daughters. The story is about how their family deals with the ups and downs of Chase being on the road a lot as a professional bull rider. Their love is beautiful and the story is full of honest emotion as they deal with the challenges that come with pursuing your passions while being fair to your loved ones. As this story is told from dual perspectives, we get to see the emotional conflicts that Allie deals with as she supports her husbands dreams while raising thier daughters. I love the loyalty these two have toward each other and that they are both completely devoted to each other and their girls. This is a lovely and worth while read.
Hold On Tight was an amazing read. I loved it! The relationship between these characters just blew me away. The ups and downs, the tests that Chase and Allie went through to make them a stronger couple gives you all the feels. I love how this story shows you the true trials and compromise of a marriage and yet how a strong bond, love and trust can pull you through anything. I adored how involved they were with their girls and the amazing friend (brother) Cody was to this family. I went through all the feels and was extremely happy with this ending. I can’t wait to see where Anjelica takes us with Cody’s story next.
