Based on a true storyAspiring author Travis Goldman has saved his money by living with rich relatives all his life. He doesn’t mind working crazy hours at a beachside resort, especially if it means he can provide for the girl of his dreams – if only she will agree to be his.Chloe Savage didn’t choose to have all these health problems that her sister is convinced she’s made up just to make … convinced she’s made up just to make everyone else’s life difficult. All Chloe can do is press on, trust God, and pray that her piano teaching business will take off. It has to, because it seems she’s failed at everything else.
When Chloe finally attends the Bible study her grandma’s been prodding her to go to, she makes it quite clear to everyone there that marriage is for the weak at heart. She, for one, will never give herself to another, because all that comes from love and commitment is a truckload of hurt.
Will anything be able to break through to Chloe and thaw her icy exterior? All she knows is that she must keep Travis at arm’s length and not let him into her heart – that is, until the unthinkable happens….
A sweet, clean romance.

I didn’t really connect with the characters. So many issues are covered in the story but the plot seems convoluted and undeveloped.
Chloe is suffering from so many aches and pains. Her immune system is a mess, and having autoimmune diseases is not an easy thing to deal with. But she is determined not to be dependent on anyone! Her faith in God is guiding her. Travis comes to one of the bible classes and there is instant chemistry. But neither of them is ready for a relationship. Or are they? Nikki Larson writes a wonderful love story. Her characters are real, have relevant issues and let us take their journey through life. Chloe at times is frustrating, very demanding but I like that she is aware of her issues. Travis is a sweet man, and I love how his problems are eventually dealt with together. This is a good listen, brings realistic problems to light and is a wonderful love story.
Lorana Hoopes gives a fantastic narrative to the story. She is in tune with the characters and brings their personalities to life. I enjoy her voices and always look forward to her performances.
Clhoe is been fighting some health problems and she is afraid to be dependent. When she meets Travis at church she doesn’t want to feel attracted to him but the connection exist. Can Travis past the walls in Clhoe heart? a sweet love story Good audiobook
Enjoyed reading this story! The lead character had physical problems to deal with but she tried to always look on the bright side! The young man that was interested in her was interested in attending church and getting to know her. I received an Arc of this book and am giving my thoughts on how the book was received by me! I enjoyed the book very much and recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance!
Hold My Heart is a sweet, clean Christian romance that is well written. It explores and briefly educates the reader on mental illness and the stereotypes/prejudices related to it. It also touches on the difficulties of living with autoimmune related illnesses. I appreciate when a book can pull off entertainment and education within a wonderful storyline. I love the emphasis of relying on God in good times and bad with scriptures the reader can refer back to easily.
I received an ARC of this book and have chosen to give my honest opinion.
This is a review of the audiobook. I think the narrator is really great. I enjoyed her voice & characterization of the people in the book. I received a free copy from the author. I did not really enjoy this story. Chloe seems rather childish, rambles a lot. I did not connect with her. Travis is nice but doesn’t seem to know how to control his life until Chloe sets his father straight near the end of the book. Travis says to Chloe “No one has ever talked to my father like that”. Not sure what their ages are supposed to be. I received a free copy from the author. This is my honest, voluntary opinion.
I enjoyed bits and pieces of this. Author dealt with a lot of issues and due to that some of it felt undone. I did enjoy the scripture text and Christian based of the book.
I received a free copy and have left my honest review.
