PR exec Natalie Lindgren is all business…until it comes to dealing with her craving for sexual submission. Two years ago, she walked away from the lifestyle–and her Dom, Javier. Now she’s back at his luxury guest ranch, not as his sub, but as a member of her sister’s wedding party. But Javier’s not her only problem. Her ex, Ryan–who she left because his ideas to kink up their sex life veered … life veered too closely to Natalie’s former lifestyle–is the best man.
She’d thought she could resist the two dominant men, but with one touch Natalie is back under Javier’s influence, and one whisper has her aching for Ryan’s fingers tight around her wrist. How is she going to get through the weekend? Especially once the two of them join forces to remind her exactly what she’s been missing…

Hold Me Harder by Renee Dominick
Quick read novella length story focusing on a woman coming to terms with whether or not she is truly a submissive. When Natalie returns to the ranch she spent time on in the past she runs into Javier, the Dom who taught her to be a submissive, and they pick up pretty much where they must have left off just before she left him. We find out that she also broke up with Ryan, a boyfriend that made her run when their bedroom play began to make her question what she really wanted in a relationship. There is plenty of steam and discussion of what if but as far as the ménage aspect or MFM action…more reference to than description of activities takes place. At the end I was left wondering just what the threesome would get up to when Javier visits Ryan and Natalie in the city and though the three did have a night together not much was said about what took place. It was an okay read and perhaps a good introduction to the genre but a bit tame compared to other books of this nature that I have read.
Thank you to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC – This is my honest review.
2-3 Stars
Hold Me Harder by Renee Dominick is a quick erotic novella that explores a submissive’s desires.
Natalie is staying at the ranch of her ex, Javier, along with the rest of her sister’s wedding party. This also includes the best man, Ryan who is also an ex. Natalie left Javier a year ago and has suppressed her submissive side ever since, but just being in close proximity to him has her body instantly falling back into old habits. The problem is that Ryan seems to want her in the same manner as Javier, at his feet. Or least Natalie sees it as a problem, but these men offer her a solution she never considered.
This is super short and has all the elements of a great ménage, but for me it fell a bit short. There was more detail about the scenery than there was the sex. Which isn’t a problem, but when you are reading an erotic romance you expect a certain amount of detail of the acts themselves. I wanted more scenes and more detail, and more of the BDSM elements. They were hinted at but not really emphasized like I would have liked to see, especially considering this was Natalie’s awakening to what she really wanted and accepting it.
This isn’t a bad read by any means. It was hot and short. I think I would like to see this expanded into a full length with more detail of Natalie and Javier’s past, Ryan and Natalie’s break-up, and their exploration of an unconventional relationship. I could even see this being a trilogy or series. As a novella it is ok, but it has a lot of potential if expanded, and I would be the first in line to read if that happens. 3.5 stars.
