The romance part is too predictable but I like the characters. Good for an easy read.
Very readable, loved the tie in to the Reno area, since I went to UN – Reno. Stired many long lost mentioned places. Thank You!
I love this this book, it was very well written. I also love it being Native American, with some of their traditions. I wish there were more books like this. I thoroughly enjoyed it
Pretty strong characters…leaves you wondering what will come next. On the downside, it’s a bit wordy.
Fascinating read!
This author needs to get his ego out of the way and get a good editor. He repeats himself constantly, misuses words, writes unconvincingly about religious and cultural issues, saying basically ‘just take my word for it.’ It’s too bad because his hero is interesting, (even if his heroine is unconvincing and superficial).
Fast moving with totally cool characters!
This book wasn’t worth the price I paid! I couldn’tt Even finish it. Poorly written. Didn’t hold my interest. I thought it would be of Hillerman quality and it certainly did not measure up. I was greatly disappointed.
Good story, with a little fantasy thrown in.
Great story line and informational about the geography of Idaho and some Native American rituals. Interesting lead character. Good reading, hope for a follow-up.
Loved it!!
I love mysteries with a Native American hero and a western setting. This one sounded good. But. The characters are flat and so is the setting. I only made it half way before I gave up hoping it would get better.
The author has confused mystery writing with bodice-ripper romances.
I enjoyed the first two thirds of the book but then it began to fizzle out a bit. Really didn’t like the female character and felt her character deficiencies weren’t dealt with in the story.
Enloyed the book very much. Held my interest straight through it.
I just couldn’t get into Thu book at all.
Very different. I liked the characters and how the story developed. Hokee is very believable.
unbelievable. yet I did read the whole thing.
Great author, great book!
It was ok but a bit out there for me
