This was one of the most entertaining books I have read in a long time. Completely different from what I expected – and will definitely be looking for more by this author. A 5 star book. Period.
Wow this author really knows how to grab you and keep you turning the pages. Awesome job.
well written but wierd. too much mysticism.
As well as being entertaining there was a welcome limit to bad language.
Very different characters in this romance/mystery storyline.
I really enjoyed this book. Highly recommend it!
This may be a good book for a young teenager.
Spiritual … The main character, hokee, had self control and dedication to solving the crime and fighting evil. With a wild wolf as a companion and hokee’s isolated living yet popularity among the residents of the area and police community, the story balances his character in a healthy way.
I really enjoy reading about native americans. I have a collection of prehistory based on native amerivans.
Interesting, kind of. But it felt like there needed to be some more research and a couple of more read-throughs with a copy editor.
Nice change of pace from my usual detective fiction.
Interesting and complex main character. Good local flavor. Exciting story.
Fun to read a 4. Intellectual engagement closer to a 3.
It was well written and hard to put down! I enjoyed it!
Very interesting main characters and settting. Unusual situations & mysteries… keeps you reading.
I loved it. I am hoping that the author will finish the story about the relationship of Hokee and Glory.
This started out as a great story with a mystery. It took a mystical turn and became this meta physical crap. I lost interest about half way through.
As much as some of it was unbelievable it fit the narrative.
I quit it halfway thru.
One of the best books i’ve read this year.
