Wedding bells are the last thing on twenty-two year old Riley Bishop’s mind, but that’s exactly what he hears after waking up in Vegas next to a woman he just met—his new wife. He never saw her coming, but she might be worth the risk.Zoey Mitchell is high on life, free spirited, and adventurous. However, learning she married a rowdy cowboy after a night of partying is not what she expected—even … what she expected—even for her.
She’s risking it all, gambling with her heart.
Deciding to give their instant marriage a chance, Zoey moves from her big city life to a small town Texas ranch. She has to know if their connection is based on more than just a wild one-night stand before announcing to her family that she got hitched.
One moment changes everything—for better or worse—and a secret could destroy them both.
This is a full-length stand-alone novel in the Circle B Ranch series and a spin-off from the Bishop Brothers series. You don’t need to read any of the other books beforehand to enjoy this one!

Absolutely loved the book!!
I have to say I was hooked from the start of this audio. I couldn’t get enough.
When Riley went to Vegas for the weekend he never expected to end up married. But that’s exactly what happened. How was this going to work. He knows that he was attracted to Zoey and he knows he doesn’t want this marriage to end.
Zoey decides to give this marriage a chance so she makes a trip to the ranch to see if what she and Riley had was more than just a one night stand.
This was such a sweet, cute story. I loved that both of these characters didn’t’ want to just end their marriage, even though it happened on a dare, lol. They took things in their own time and both of them went out of their way to make it work. I was hooked. I can’t wait to read more in this series
Cute story that starts off with a bang….and has some interesting twists and turns. Growing up can be hard. Even harder when your family doesn’t always support your dreams.
The narrators voice is yummy!
The Bishop Brothers found their happily ever afters and then had kids. These kids are all grown up! In this book, book 1 of the Circle B Ranch Series, Riley Bishop is 22. He and best friend Diesel traveled to Vegas for Diesel’s birthday. On a dare, Riley accidentally married Zoey Mitchell. Realizing what they did, they go their separate ways. There’s talk of annulment, but they don’t jump quickly to that solution. Something had to have drawn them together. The two take some time to get to know each other.
I loved how Zoey and Riley didn’t jump right into bed as they tried to navigate married life. While they went about marriage backwards, their attitudes and actions demonstrated that it was more than just dare that drew them together. Everyone should have a friend like Diesel. Well, not the dare you to marry part, but the way he was a true friend and supported Riley. That and their antics in Vegas. It was also great that River and Alex made cameo appearances in the story. Made me realize why I fell in love with the Bishops.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook and voluntarily left this review.
Riley and Zoey are one of my most favorite couples!! The sweetness of this story and the connection they have is undeniable!! This book is the perfect combination of steam and love!!!
I couldn’t stop listening to this book!! KF never disappoints when it comes to writing a book you can’t put down!!
I really enjoyed my listening experience with this book. I felt like it flew by and I was just along for a fun ride! Riley and Zoey had such chemistry, right from the start!
I loved the plot/trope of this book. I went into this without reading the blurb, so I had no idea what was in store for me. BUT the waking up married in Vegas trope is one of my favorites! I’m also such a sucker for a good farm/ranch setting in a book, so this one was a win/win for me! The Bishops may be on of my favorite book families i’ve read. I’ll continue with this series, just because I fell so hard for this family! They really are such the idyllic family. Kennedy Fox nailed writing this family!
Diesel deserves his own mention, as he was such a big part of this book. I love his character – his sarcasm, feisty personality and his fierce loyalty to Riley. We also get a lot of sarcasm and banter between Diesel and Rowen (Riley’s sister) and I really hope that was one big tease to them getting their own book soon!
This book was a feel good, fun ride that I would recommend for a great weekend read and start into what I hope will be another amazing series!
New to me authors…. And I’m in love! Listened to this in one day at work… And so many lol moments. Riley and Zoey were so wonderful! I love how swoony Riley is…. and Zoey has so much courage! (even though she doesn’t seem to have much of a backbone when it comes to her parents) And their romance is everything!!! I am so glad that I got into this book…. I am totally ready to binge all that is Kennedy Fox now!
Since I listened to this on audio I do have to mention that they narration was incredible. The accents were fantastic! Since Zoey didn’t have an accent and Riley did, BOTH narrators were great at having the accents where they were needed… and they were really good! All the feelings were there and I felt them! Totally deserving of 5 swoony
I do have to admit…. In the prologue Riley called Zoey “darlin”…. And then didn’t again that was my only complaint
When happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, well…. that is not always the case. For Riley Bishop and Zoey Mitchell Vegas shows them why it’s called Sin City. A hot one night stand and marriage leads to a happily ever after.
Oh how I love these Bishops boys on the Circle B Ranch. This book is just so amazing the characters, the setting everything is perfect. Big city girls meets a down home country boy makes for sweet, swoony, steamy story. From begin to end this book is fantastic. Can not wait for more.
Fun, flirty, steamy, and just the right amount of feels! Hitching the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox was another perfectly credit-worthy audio from this writing duo! I loved Riley and Zoey’s unexpected romance and the fireworks it ignited. Not only are the MCs delish, the secondary characters round out this story perfectly and I can’t wait for their stories.
Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter narrate this fun audio and bring to life the crazy, sexy, and steamy story and do a marvelous job at tugging at all my heart strings. Not to mention that Stephen Dexter with that cowboy twang was just the best thing ever. 5 stars.
Good book! What happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas! Sometimes it shows up on your doorstep. Love story that starts as a dart and after unexpected outcomes, finally comes back together to a happily ever after.
Fabulous Story & Narration A Heartfelt Delight!
Hitching the Cowboy
Circle B Ranch, Book 1
By: Kennedy Fox
Narrated by: Lia Langola, Stephen Dexter
This book in an enjoyable delight and I loved everything about it, from Kennedy Fox’s wonderful writing style to the storylines and characters they created to the perfectly casted narration performed by the talented Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to end, it is the type of book once you start you do not want to put down. The characters are amazing, they are realistic and easy to connect with. I adored Riley Bishop, his friend Diesel was awesome too. The two head to Vegas for a Birthday celebration and when Riley dares Diesel to do a strip dance at a club he has to take him up it, neither one will back down from a dare because do not want to be a loser. Zoey Mitchell, is a hairdresser from Arizona is celebrating her sister’s bachelorette weekend. They are in a club to watch the amateur dances strip, the same place Riley and Diesel happened to be. Zoey captured Riley’s eye but they missed their chance to meet, that is until the next day when Diesel and Riley join the girls and party some more. Diesel gets his revenge by daring Riley to marry Zoey, so the two have a quickie Vegas wedding. The book flips back to before Vegas and takes you to after Vegas when Zoey shows up on Riley’s family farm in Texas. Riley was surprised to see but was also happy about it. The chemistry between the two is undeniable, they are great together and for each other but she holds back impertinent information about he life home in Arizona, how controlling her parents are and how unhappy they are with her career decision. I felt she should have stood up them from the start and was annoyed about that but sometimes it takes longer for others to speak up. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted with plenty of drama, some great humor, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and the start of a wonderful romance. Kennedy Fox, thank you for another fabulous story, I am looking forward to checking out more of your books and hot cowboys. I am also looking forward to Diesel’s story, I hope it comes to audio soon.
I listened to the audible edition, Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter did an awesome job portraying the characters, giving each their own distinct voice. They truly grasped the characters’ personal, making each role their own and sounding just as I pictured them to sound. They also captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.
I loved this story! I am somewhat of a new comer to Kennedy Fox’s books. I only discovered them this year and have been making my way through their backlist and fell in love with all the Bishops and now we have the next generation in the Circle B Ranch books so to say I was excited for this story is an understatement. Kennedy Fox write cowboys like no other. They are possessive, protective, pure alpha men that grab onto your heart from the first page and Riley was exactly that. He is an exact replica of his father, Alex (from Taming Him) he was born and raised on the ranch and loves his life working hard as ranch hand. The book begins where Riley takes his best friend Diesel whom is turning 21 to Las Vegas for the weekend. The two were hilarious together and after a bet he couldn’t back down from and way too much to drink he finds himself married in Vegas to Zoey Mitchell. Zoey is beautiful, carefree and eccentric. She has a creative soul and marches to the beat of her own drum. She comes from a family of doctors who wish she’d follow in their footsteps but she instead she follows her own passion and became a hairdresser instead. Zoey has always been adventurous and on a weekend trip to Vegas for her sisters bachelorette party she vows to herself to let loose and have fun and meets Riley. They part ways, she goes back to Arizona and Riley back to Texas and 4 weeks later she shows up on his ranch wanting to give their relationship a go instead of an immediate annulment. The two have crazy passion and chemistry, there is absolutely no denying that. But they have their work cut out for the, figuring out each other. I enjoyed this story and didn’t want to put in down from beginning to end. I am eager to read Catching the Cowboy next which is Diesel and Rowan’s story!
We start this story out with Riley. Who is Diesel? Where do we find them and why? Or should I say, where do we watch them go? What do we learn about the odd couple? What happens when they get where they’re going? What are the dares that happen? Who is Anderson? We learn a lot more about who’s who in the Bishop family in this story! Oh, Zoey and Summer are too funny! Who is Benjamin? I don’t like him. What happens when he shows up in Texas? Why does he show up? I was disappointed at Zoey at that point. Can she make things right? Read and see!
Oh-Em-Gee!! Riley and Zoey are insanely perfect for each other. They wake up married to each other after a crazy night in Vegas! The saying might go… what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas but not for these two! Riley brings this big city girl home with him to the ranch in Texas! They both decide to give their snap decision nuptials a chance. What follows is exactly what we all expect from Kennedy Fox… amazing characters that seem warm and caring with some total fun sides to them. My heart was lost while Riley tries his hardest to get Zoey to love their possible life, his family and home, and hopefully him, as well.
I could not have chosen better narrators myself and you know I’m a self-imposed audio snob… so not just any narrator will work with every book. They need to fit with the characters and the personalities. Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola gave such personality and so much life to this story. This story is what I mean when I say narrators bring life to their characters. You FEEL the humor, you FEEL that tepid love tight there on the threshold. They were perfection!!
So I’ve come to know and love the author duo behind the Kennedy Fox name throughout a bunch of duology books like the Roommate Duet series beginning with the Hunter & Lennon story which began in Baby Mine. I’ve followed along with this series and haven’t really had the chance to delve back into older books up till now. When Wildfire Marketing group offered to provide the audiobooks for review as they came out, I decided to sign up for this one. Now I need to read all of them, AND go back and read the Bishop Brothers series to see where it all got started!
Of course we’ve got the sudden Vegas wedding at the beginning of this one, with Riley having to leave the next morning after with no extra time, and then we get a sudden letter of annulment sent to him with no explanation. So lots of stuff happening suddenly. Shortly thereafter, Zoey shows up and tells him she wants to see if there is anything actually there between them before she files the papers. So they do. And as you’d expect, things are great, it’s a perfect romance, kind of out of order, but still it all works out.
Until the big surprise plot twist, that I didn’t see coming, even if I felt her sending the annulment papers with no warning was a shock at the time. Now, with the duets I’ve read by these authors, normally that big plot twist would be the end of book 1 and I’d know a whole second book was coming along with more twists and turns and emotions. However, this happened at almost the 80% mark in the story, so I knew we were going to get all of this taken care of before the book was over.
And I liked the way it ended, it was perfect, we got a great epilogue, and now I’m also very excited to read on, or maybe listen on in this series. The narrators did a good job. I actually got nostalgic for my first college boyfriend when listening to this. He was a cowboy. I’m not really into that anymore, even as much as I enjoyed the story. But I decided maybe I just need a new cowboy love interested to get rid of those bad feelings and memories.
Instalove and Marraige of Convenience books aren’t my favorite… but I’ve always enjoyed KF books, so I thought I would give this audio a try.
The narration was perfection. They took on these characters as if they were Riley and Zoe and just nailed it.
I really did like this story. Riley is a sweet rancher who was a breath of fresh air. He is loyal and devoted to his family. Zoe is carefree, fun and adventurous. I loved watching them explore the possibility of a real relationship. Riley’s roommate and best friend Diesel is a wild, crazy daredevil sidekick and I am going to read his book too. There were some times where I found myself frustrated with Zoe but she redeemed herself. I’m not one that is into westerns, but I want to go visit that ranch because it sounds so amazing. 🙂
I finally got around to listening/reading the first book in the Circle B Ranch Series and it was one that had me recalling some of Las Vegas adventures and the shenanigans you experience in sin city. This series starts of with Riley Bishop and Zoey Mitchell’s story. A trip to Vegas and an drunken fun night lead to an accidental marriage thanks to the infamous Bishop antics that ensues.
This listen/read is full of fun and surprises. Oh and be still my heart when it was revealed that they were willing to give their unexpected marriage a chance. That moment when they see each other again had my heart swooning for more. The challenge is whether two people who live two different lifestyles and class will be able to make it work living life on the ranch. Will it be enough for one to uproot their life into country living? Their chemistry is undeniably hot and intense; however, will it be enough?
The narrations by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter was a good combination when representing Riley and Zoey. They kept you constantly intrigued by their story and wanting more. This was a such a sweet and fun filled start into the series. Hello Cowboys…looking forward to more of your stories!
I loved Hitching the Cowboy! I am a huge of Kennedy Fox. These narrators were perfect at bringing Zoe’s and Riley’s story to life. This book kept me up listening late into the night. If your looking a sweet romance with sexy cowboys, look no further. I will be reading or listening to the others in this series.
Audio Review:
This book was fantastic to listen to.
Lia and Stephen did an amazing job narrating this book.
Riley and Zoe are so adorable. It’s full of steam, a little drama, and a whole lot of love.
I also adored Diesel- I can’t wait to listen to his story!
Hitching the Cowboy
Circle B Ranch, Book 1
By: Kennedy Fox
Narrated by: Lia Langola, Stephen Dexter
I don’t know where they get their ideas for stories, but Kennedy Fox has the right formula for their romances! I am in love with this fun, flirty, passionate book! Zoey and Riley meet in Vegas, and unexpectedly get married. Yes, they were both drunk, yes there was a dare, but now that the deed is done, there are decisions to make. When Zoey comes to the Circle B Ranch to see if the connection she felt with Riley is true, sparks fly and love is in the air. But is it enough for marriage? I fell in love with these characters from the first chapter. Zoey is ordinary and by that I mean she does not need to live in wealth. She sees people for who they are and loves with her whole heart. Riley is just so incredibly sweet, it is impossible not to fall for him. He has a fantastic family, a loyal best friend and a heart of gold. I not only loved these two, but the secondary characters add so much levity and fun, I can only hope we see more of them. This is the best kind of romance and look forward to book 2.
Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola tell this story with an incredible narration. Dexter has a Texas twang to his voice, and he plays the perfect Riley. A little broody at times, but so lovable! Langola as Zoey gives us the emotional tugs and frustration she feels. I loved both of their voices, thought they complimented each other. I loved this team!
