OH. MY. GOD!!! It’s been quite some time since I’ve finished “Hitched” and I’m still laughing or snickering at odd times, making people around me (especially family) think I’ve gone bonkers!!! What can I write to make justice to this gem? If you’ve read the previous books, you know what I’m talking about. Hillarious moments, old and new characters (both human and animals) and their crazy antics, as well as deep emotions, flawed but true people who struggle with their self-esteem, sizzling hot chemistry, and the sweetest happily ever after. WHAT??? You haven’t heard of Happy Cat?! What are you waiting for? Grab all books in the series, binge-read them and don’t forget to grab the bonus epilogues! Welcome to Happy Cat, ladies and gentlemen, where everything and anything is possible. Even blowing up electronic devices with just your aura!
And my usual disclaimer: Read in private and refrain from eating or drinking during reading. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!!!
The comedy genius of Grant and Valente strike again. I adored this second chance/friends-enemies-lovers story! Small town Happy Cat has the greatest inhabitants whether they be two legged or four.
I found this story witty; the characters feel real in their own quirky way; the O’Dell family are adoptable; there was action, romance, Chewpaca, Too-Pac, the ‘kids’, George and family and let’s not forget the hedgehogs.
Oh and lets not forget the electrifying love story that is Blake and Hope.
This is the third book in the Happy Cat Series. The O’Dell Brothers are handsome. This is a beautiful, hilarious, and heartwarming enemies-to-lovers, and second chance to love. Blake and Hope’s story is a sweet and sexy standalone story in the Series! I love their HEA. I would love to listen to the audiobook version of this story. I enjoyed my reading.
Well, well, well, I gotta say that I wasn’t expecting to love this book more than Hosed but yup I do! Pippa and Lili had me hooked pretty much from page 1. After all, not everyone can pull off a Goodwill wedding dress and dandelion bouquet like they can. Hope is incredible . She’s sweet, loving, slightly delusional and electrically challenged! She’s hellbent on saving her precious Alpaca and his priceless sperm and is willing to do the deed, pay the piper, bite the bullet. The bullet in question being her lifelong secret crush, got drunk and hitched in Vegas, managed to have the best sex of her life honeymoon night, annulment the next day ex husband, Blake. For his part, Blake wants nothing to do with his sexy ex wife because he secretly wishes she had cared enough to stick it out and give it a try the first time around. What makes this such a good book isn’t just the fantastic second chance romance but everything going on during it. The town, the people, the wildlife! I mean who cannot love a pampered, housebroken raccoon named George Cooney?! Do yourself a favor and read this book, and if you haven’t already, read the other books in the series Hosed and Hammered, trust me, you won’t regret it. (I received an ARC and voluntarily left an honest review).
Hitched is the third book in the Happy Cat series by the hilarious and talented duo of Lili Valente and Pippa Grant. This is my favorite of the series! I’m not sure if it’s anticipation of Blake and Hope and desperately wanting to know their history and their future, but I loved it. Hard. Blake has the opportunity to get hitched to Hope again and he’s not going to say no. He’s had real feelings for her for a long time and now he’s getting the chance to show her how great they can be together. He’s sweet, sensitive, sexy and romantic. Swoon! Hope doesn’t know what love looks like and she’s afraid, but Blake isn’t going to walk away and he’s going to love her until she understands. He’s all in. He loves her animals, her electromagnetic energy and her heart. I enjoyed this story. So. Much! Hope is fun, quirky and loyal and Blake is protective, sexy and funny. I loved seeing his brothers and their loves and their family and friends. The animals so also great secondary characters! Chewpaca is the best! Overall, I laughed out loud a lot, smiled, giggled, swooned, cheered and laughed some more! I can’t wait for more from this series!
One again, the collaboration of Pippa Grant and Lili Valente has produced an amazingly funny while completely heartfelt story. Blake and Hope’s chemistry is so strong you can feel it through the pages, but Hope’s insecurities cause her to push away. I love how Pippa and Lili made Blake a hero that every woman wants in her life. He knows that they belong together and he is willing to fight for them and show Hope that she is worthy of love. And of course, we can’t forget Chewpalca and George. I love that these two ladies create animals who become such entertaining supporting characters. I could read a who book just based on the animals.
Well done Pippa and Lili. I can’t wait for the next book.
I received a review copy before release for an honest review.
I read the first book in the series and really loved it. This is book 3 and I was hoping to love it as much as book 1. Sadly it was not as good though it was an enjoyable story.
This is a story of two exes getting a 2nd chance. I loved the hero in this story. He is in love with his ex and has loved her all along but she is the problem and she was my issue as well. There are lots of Alpacas in this story and well to be honest I did not get it. At all. I don’t know if it was supposed to add humor or not but I did not get it.
The story follows Hope who comes from a rocky family. Her parents hate their spouses (each other) but are still married and so hope does believe in love or marriage. 4 Years before she married and divorced Blake and since then they have a love/hate relationship.
Her grandmother dies and she is required to marry or her awful cousin will get the Alpaca. So she asks everyone and everyone says no until she asks Blake and he agrees if she helps him get a liquor license for his new winery. And so they get hitched.
I did not like Hope at all. Blake was absolutely wonderful. But Hope was a little too animal crazy and I did not like how she treated Blake. Plus she had some weird powers. That said its book 3 in the Happy Cat series and it was fun revisiting all the characters again.
Heading back to Happy Cat is always guaranteed to be a laugh out loud trip. And returning for Hope and Blake’s story was no exception. When Hope finds herself needing to be married like yesterday to save her beloved Chewpaca she turns to Blake in desperation. As these two frenemies try to sell their marriage to their friends, families and the lawyers the attraction is hard to fight. I laughed out loud through out this story. Its steamy, sexy and a perfect HEA for Hope, Blake and Chewpaca!! I highly recommend this book. I recieved an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
So before picking up this book I wasn’t familiar with the little town of Happy Cat. After reading it, I want to move there, play with the animals and join into the bingo game!! This book was so much fun! Despite the craziness that happens over an alpaca, you can definitely tell they all truly care about each other. They are one big family. Blake and Hope have a history and that includes a Vegas wedding already. These two despite how rocky things are between them, there’s love and respect for each other there. Yes Hope has herself in a pickle but he is willing to help her out. These two crack me up for real! They care about the animals and each other. Hope has a very disfuctional family. Her parents only care about themselves and it’s obvious. She does stand up to them. So many moments of laughing until you cry. What I learned throughout reading this is that Blake treats Hope with respect and love. He is always making sure she comes first. Hence why he agreed to crazy scheme. His family is big and weird. So weird but so hilarious and caring. I loved this book so much!
Electrifying!
The town of Happy Cat is as charming as ever, filled with interesting people and even more interesting pets! Hope and Blake also have an interesting history, and it was a beautiful and emotional journey to their HEA. Hope is more charmingly vulnerable than I expected, and Blake was sweeter than I ever could have predicted. Together they are a crime solving super duo! I loved this book like crazy!
Another amazing book with a cast full of weird characters and animals. Long live the alpacas
Another great visit to the town of Happy Cat! This is Blake and Hope’s story, which by the way they hated each other in previous books this was/wasn’t a surprise story!
Hope’s Grandmother died and in order to keep all her critters, she has to be married or her cousin, Kyle, will take Hope’s favorite alpaca, Chewy. In order to save Chewy and the rest of the gang, Hope propositions Blake to marry her…to save the animals, and she can get him the liquor license he needs in exchange. However, right after she marries Blake, she finds out Kyle was marrying Cara for the same reason. Kyle hires a PI to follow Blake and Hope because he doesn’t believe her marriage is real. It’s a race to save the farm!
Can Blake and Hope pull off this fake marriage without getting busted and save the farm and all the animals?
This story had all the elements of all my favorites! It was sweet, hot, funny, supposed enemies to lovers and animals!! I gotta admit, although I love the characters, my favorite is returning to Happy Cat to see what George Cooney and his family are up to! Great story!!
I absolutely LOVE this series! These women can make you laugh so hard the tears flow, but they also write a great bunch of characters, animals and family. This book is part of a bigger bunch of hilarity that you do not necessarily need to read, but you really should, I promise you will love them all.
Blake and Hope just explode with all the love/hate that one can stand. The back story of Hope is touching, and Blake is there to show her how to love herself and him! What a wonderful story of Chewy the alpaca and the great fight for the stud! LOL!
I absolutely adored Blake and Hope. These two had an interesting history – childhood friends (small town so pretty much everyone was friends) turned into “the night they don’t talk about” when they were a bit older and now, perhaps frenemies is the best description. Blake was ready to commit and maybe still is but cannot for the life of him figure out why Hope hates him so much. Poor Hope has some serious baggage from growing up in an unhappy home – the idea of being truly happy with another person doesn’t make any sense to her. She’s never hated Blake but she hates how he’s nice to everyone but her. Talk about the ultimate misunderstanding of feelings! Watching these two work through their issues – and seeing Blake tackle all of Hope’s fears/doubts – all while locking themselves into a lie to save an alpaca was hilarious and endearing. Add in a trouble making raccoon, some baby goat yoga gone wrong, and a money hungry cousin who is out to get the alpaca and you’ll have to buckle up for a wildly entertaining ride! This was a great visit to Happy Cat and I can’t wait for our next visit!
This book was another fun trip to the crazy, quirky town of Happy Cat. Blake and Hope find themselves in a fake marriage to save an alpaca and real feelings start coming to the surface. Blake is such a sweet and patient man underneath. He is the perfect person to help Hope open up and trust that she can love and be loved. Between Hope’s overwhelming electric personality and the crazy antics of the town animals, there are plenty of laughs along the way to a wonderful HEA.
This dynamic duo has done it again with book 3 in this series. This gives us the hate/love story of Blake and Hope.
Hope is doing all she can do to not short out or fry all the electronics around her. Seems she is a “wiper” and tends to give off charged electrical energy especially when she is upset. It tends to be Blake to the rescue when she does but he always makes it worse for her. Why can’t they just get along, oh right they have a past, a secret past that is fixing to come to light.
This book is so funny and heart melting and full of our favorite animals either saving the day or creating havoc. No spoilers here, just know Blake actually loves Hope and she him and the love Gods have put them together for a reason.
I received an early copy to read and review and give my honest opinion. I loved it! Lili and Pippa and each funny in their own writing but put them together and it is a win win for us all. I highly recommend this book, 5 stars for me.
If you aren’t reading Pippa Grant And Lili Valente, you’re missing out on some seriously wonderful stories. I would happily move myself to Happy Cat, work in the Sunshine Toys factory and exist amongst these whacky, lovable, fun characters for the rest of my days. (My husband and kids might take exception to that, but whatever.)
We get to follow Blake and Hope in this story, and man what a ride. Alpacas and jealous cousins and true love and romance mixed in with a marriage of necessity to meet the conditions of a will? Plus all the crazy that is Happy Cat? SIGN ME UP.
Blake is just the best of the best of the best kind of guys. Hope has got some serious issues because of her upbringing, but the biggest heart. Their adventure is so much fun. Read. This. Series.
I’m not sure how these books keep getting better but they do. I knew from the first one that Blake and Hope would have a great story. I didn’t imagine it would be the plot twist that it was. I loved seeing Blake help heal a the heart broken by the people that should have cherished it. Also how his family just completely welcomed Hope into their fold. Never far away is the laugh out loud part of the story. Perfect blend of feels and laughs. I can’t wait to visit Happy Cat again.
absolutely adored this book. Blake and Hope have witty, funny conversations and a smoking hot connection. They are surrounded by familiar faces from the series as well as Chewpaca , George and the rest of the menagerie. You will, laugh , smile and swoon while reading this. Click fast! you deserve to have this book in your life.
This was sweet and great. I loved it! Wonderful characters, sweet storyline. I can’t wait to read the next book!
