Hitched is Hope and Blake’s story and what an adventure it is! With quirky animals, witty banter and family and friends that are so supportive, well Blake’s are, trust me, this book is so different but also entertaining!
Poor Hope and her ability to set things off. It’s crazy but rather suits her, when she asks Blake to get her out of a jam, needless to say the story takes a turn. I don’t think either character knew what they were in for. Except probably the ride of their lives and animals depending on them.
This book was lighthearted, swoonworthy and a real fun read! A good addition to the series!
4.5 goofy stars!
So if you’ve read this series so far – you know that it is zany, goofy, silly, with some awesome characters – I’m kinda partial to all the 4-legged ones!! They are ALL back in this edition.
You knew that Blake and Hope had sparks, but their story was even more intense than I thought. “But I’d rather screw up and make up and keep fighting to make love work with you than have it easy with anyone else.” Sigh!
This book was laugh out loud, gaspy, hilarious George Cooney antic-filled romp of a good time. Chewpaca was adorbs as always and Blake and Hope were electric together!
What a fun, wild ride you don’t want to miss.
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
I know I say this after every book in the series but I really love Happy Cat. That town is seriously crazy in all the best of ways. I can’t even think about the series without getting a big cheesy grin on my face.
And the chemistry between Hope and Blake has been simmering in the background of the previous books. And I have been dying to find out why there was so much animosity between them. And I can honestly say I didn’t see that coming.
Hope is such a sweetheart and I have been a huge fan of hers forever. Her anxiety over her affect on electrical appliances and her concern for all the Happy Cats furred citizens made her my hero.
But as much as I liked her I really loved Blake too. For all the snark between him and Hope he always came running to her rescue. He was such an awesome leading man. And when his alpha alpaca came out I did get a little swoony. I would have liked to see a little more of his vines and tasting room but it was far from necessary to the story.
I personally didn’t find this one as funny as the previous books but I did get a few laugh out loud moments and the emotion felt a little deeper. And the little teases for Clint and cupcake have me dying for the next book in the series. As much as for them as for the sneak peeks into everyone else’s HEA’s.
We travel back to happy cat for a not so “happy” situation. Pippa would never let that situation continue though! Never fear, you’ll be as happy as a certain llama when he sees Olivia by the end if this book proving it’s never too late for a happy ending!
You can always tell how much the author loves her characters and it’s almost like we are tourists in her fictional utopia. Definitely worth a read.
Blake and Hope are perfect for each other, but how does perfect work when only half of the couple is willing to admit to feelings? When you grow up never being good enough and without love and acceptance it’s hard to believe you deserve love as an adult. Throw in a couple Alpacas, George and his rowdy family, some dogs and other fun loving animals and maybe just maybe this couple will realize they are everything to each other!
This series is so much fun! Don’t miss out on Hitched!
Blake is a fabulous O’Dell brother who loves from afar……..Hope is a hot mess who has never seen love……together they just work! BUT they have to get together for it to work. Fun, sweet heart tugging story that leaves you excited for another visit to Happy Cat!
Welcome back to Happy Cat. This time we pick up with the ever-volatile relationship of Blake and Hope. As we learned in Hammered, Blake and Hope have a mutual disdain for one another, in Hitched we learn the why and that it isn’t as bad as we thought, as only Pippa and Lili can spin it. Another side-splitting story of romance gone wrong, then right, feisty pets, and making sure that justice is served as only this dynamic writing duo can tell. Laughs abound with baby goat yoga gone wrong, alpaca theft, bitter parents and wicked family members getting their just desserts. We even get a better meeting of the baby of the O’Dell family, Clint.
Another can’t miss hit!!
Animals at their best!
Happy Cat is such a wonderful place to keep returning to! I loved Blake and Hope’s story. Here’s hoping the animals stay out of trouble (Looking at you George Cooney!) and there is more hilarity to come!
You guys, August was a crappy month and I so needed the gut busting, belly shaking laughs while reading Hitched.
From the very first page, I couldn’t help but root for Hope and Blake and their animal menagerie to find their happily ever after. Seriously, who wouldn’t want these Happy Cat life-long residents to find love in each other—again. Yep, they’ve been married before—for about 24 hours—and neither forgot what it felt like to be loved by the other.
Even if they acted like they hated each other. Immensely.
But as the saying goes, it’s a fine line between love and hate.
And Blake and Hope are balancing precariously without a net.
As are the alpacas, Chewpaca and Too-Pac. Especially Chewpaca, who’s stud fees could rake in the money. Serious money.
But unlike her cousin, Kyle, Hope’s not in it for the money. Nope, she’s in it for the health and welfare of her animals—Chewpaca included. Because animals give love freely, without strings or judgement. And Hope needs more love and less judgement in her life.
And Blake is just in it for the love of a good woman. Hope, to be exact. And he’s just the man to prove to her that she’s loved and can love back.
I didn’t want to put Hitched down until I read the very last word. I absolutely loved my time spent with Blake, Hope and the rest of the crazy crew from Happy Cat. I laughed (a lot), swooned, cheered, and fanned myself a few times with all that heat between Blake and Hope. And I can’t wait to return to this crowd for the next one—Humbugged which is Clint and the cupcake lady’s story!
Back in Happy Cat with all my favorite characters!
I was so happy to finally get to hear about Blake and Hope. Their “electrifying” relationship is adorable and makes me smile more than seeing a raccoon riding an alpaca (definitely not a llama!) if you like romantic comedies that make you get all the feels inside, while also make you snort aloud from laughing…then you will ADORE this book!
If I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again…
There’s NEVER a dull moment in the town of Happy Cat!
I love this crazy, quirky town and all its unique characters. And that includes Blake O’Dell. This guy is just altogether yummy. He’s hard-working and hilarious. You can’t read this story without a smile on your face. But he’s not without a few faults though. He can be a little moody and a bit pesty at times, usually with Hope when he wants to rile her up. All that said, Blake is a genuinely great guy and you’re going to find him irresistible.
Hope is a hot mess at times and I adored her for it. She’s such a sweet, genuine person who puts other creatures’ needs – both human and animal – above her own. She’s funny and awkward, full of energy (in more ways than one), and prides herself on her ability to resist the temptation of Blake O’Dell. And that resistance works out about as well as you’d expect.
I loved these two together. Enemies-to-lovers stories are some of my favorites, and I loved finally getting a little clarity on why these two don’t get along so well. They love to bicker, irritate, and tease one another, but their chemistry sizzles and won’t be ignored. It definitely makes for an entertaining read.
This is another great book in this series.
What could go wrong marrying the same woman again!! Hope St. Claire and Blake O’Dell’s story is a super creative twist on an enemies to lovers romance, second chance of sorts that only Pippa Grant and Lili Valente can deliver set in the nosy, crazy town of Happy Cat. Love love love that Hope sets electronics on the fritz whenever she’s near and stressed. And Blake just wants to make Hope happy, and show her what a loving family is as he tries to get his winery up and running. And how far would you go to save the animals that you love?
Hope is determined to keep her alpaca, Chewpaca safe from her greed cousin. With her grandmother’s will having strict conditions for the estate, It’s a race to get married first. And Hope will do anything to keep Chewy safe. And all Blake wants to do is get close to Hope again, after the incident in Vegas that shall never be brought up per Hope’s request with Blake after a random encounter four years earlier. Will Hope’s poor example of family be her downfall? Can she let Blake into her life more than just a fake husband? Will Blake be able to show Hope how much he actually cares and loves her?
I received an ARC for a voluntary and honest review.
This is a hilarious and entertaining fake marriage, second chance romance. It is sweet, funny, swoon-worthy, emotional, romantic, sexy, and steamy. There is a wonderful, unusual set of characters that you will fall in love with. The plot is unique, entertaining, and charming. It was a fast-paced read that I enjoyed from start to finish & recommend reading it!
****ARC generously provided in exchange for an honest review.****
I love all of Pippa and Lili’s books. They are always so funny and this one does not disappoint either. If you like romantic comedies, check them out.
Hope and Blake have a history together but her fear of commitment given her upbringing makes it hard for her to take a chance with Blake. When she is forced to marry in order to keep her late grandmother’s prize alpaca (not kidding!), she begs Blake to help her. This time around he is not going to let her go.
Those of us with divorced parents will understand some of Hope’s issues in not have good role models for relationships. I like that Blake understands her and stands up for her with her family, and his family embraces her with open arms.
There are so many funny moments…. be prepared to laugh and want to visit an alpaca farm.
If you have read the other books in this series (I have) you will also get caught up on the Blake’s other brothers.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
4.5 Stars
This is the third book in the series and I just fall in love with Happy Cat all over again. Those O’dell boys are just so swoon worthy. The thing I kept thinking while reading this one is I want a Blake for myself. To have someone fight for you and your relationship as he does be still my heart. I loved Hope. She reminds me of my brother a little with her love of animals and how passionate she is about saving them. The animals in this series are one my favorite things about it. They have such personalities they just make you happy. This book had me hooked from the beginning and didn’t let me up for air until I was done. The characters just pull you in and get you so invested in their story. I’m intrigued by the last O’dell brother who is next to fall. I’m so looking forward to the next book in the series. I can’t recommend this book and this series enough. It packs the feels and heat, but you will be laughing the whole way through. It’s a book that is a make you feel good book and puts you in a good mood.

Another completely adorable and utterly hysterical story from Grant and Valente! Despite the fact that this is the third book in a series I hadn’t read, I was still able to laugh out loud and root alongside all these crazy characters.
Blake and Hope weren’t supposed to get hitched the first time, except well, Vegas. An abundance of attraction and rum are the perfect cocktail before a drive by wedding but Hope had that thing annulled before the hangover had a chance to wear off. They’ve spent the past couple years circling each other warily, neither one wanting to admit there were plenty of feelings involved in that first marriage. But when Hope needs a quicky marriage to keep her beloved animals from falling into the greedy clutches of her cousin, who better than the guy who filled the role the first time around? Now all they have to do is keep from killing each other while they convince the judge their sham marriage isn’t, in fact, a sham.
Funny as hell and even quirkier than that, Hitched was a super fun read. I’ll definitely be catching up on the hijinks of the other ridiculous couples and goings on of Happy Cat!
AnnMarie – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
Hitched brings the reader back to Happy Cat, where the animals are mischievous and the gossip is hot. Though Hitched is a standalone, readers will get a lot more out of it if they read Hosed and Hammered first, since the characters overlap.
Hitched is a laugh out loud, frenemies to lovers, marriage of convenience rom-com. Hope St. Claire and Blake O’Dell can’t seem to get along, and no one really knows why. If you’ve read Hammered, then you may remember how often these two argue! Well, it turns out, these two were secretly married years ago (not a spoiler, read the blurb). Now, Hope is in need of a husband in order to save her beloved alpaca, and though Blake isn’t keen on marrying Hope again, since he still hasn’t gotten over the first time, he sees this as an opportunity to finally win her over.
Blake may very well be my favorite O’Dell brother. He is an all around good guy, a charmer, and a fixer by nature, and his feelings for Hope…swoon. The O’Dells crack me up. Their family dynamic is hysterical, and they are definitely the type of people I would love to hang out with! I wasn’t much of a Hope fan for the first few chapters, mostly because I couldn’t figure out what her issues were. But as I learned more about her, and saw her through Blake’s eyes, I was able to understand her better. She and Blake really are perfect for one another, and I loved seeing her come to terms with her true feelings.
Though not my favorite of the series ( I mean, Hosed IS pretty hard to top), Hitched is a great addition to the series. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series!
Oh, make sure you grab the bonus epilogue! You are SO going to want to read it!
I read an early copy of this book with no promise of providing a favorable review.
A funny, sexy, crazy read!
“He wants forever.”
Blake and Hope are always at each other’s throats. They obviously can’t stand each other even though he always comes out to her farm to help her and fix her problems. What nobody knows is that they have a secret history.
“I’m allergic to commitment.”
Hope has a thing about serious relationships – she avoids them. No matter how much she might want Blake, she knows she did the right thing by him in the past in letting him go. However, she’s in a bind and he’s her last resort. And he intends to make the most of it by making her see that they belong together.
“She can pretend she doesn’t want me, but her body betrays her every time.”
This was a fun read with a whole host of quirky small-town characters. Blake and Hope are full of spark – literally on Hope’s side! There’s a fine line between love and hate and these two have it in spades. The attraction between them is obvious and I loved how determined Blake was to win her over. Hope is so gun-shy but her physical attraction to Blake says otherwise, as well as what her heart tells her. A sexy, enjoyable read with a sweet ending.
So much fun and excitement in my favorite town of Happy Cat! On this trip to Happy Cat we get to follow Hope’s and Blake’s story. Hope needs to get married before her cousin does, so she can keep her alpaca Chewpacca, and Blake is the only guy for the job. Blake agrees to help Hope because he’s still in love with her. Shenanigans ensue, and sparks fly as the new couple try to prove their marriage is real.
Pippa and Lili have done it again. They’ve given us a wonderfully fun and funny story with all the feels, and all of the Happy Cat critters and folks we’ve come to love. And a fabulous HEA of course.
I am admittedly a Pippa Grant fan girl. The duo of Pippa and Lili is absolutely fantastic, and I love every book in this Happy Cat series. It’s filled with literal laugh out loud moments, swooning, and I even cried a few tears. Plus, you can never beat all the animals Pippa manages to write into her novels as secondary characters. 100% a 5-star read!
