The climactic final volume of The Venom Trilogy by USA Today bestselling author Shannon Mayer.Humble baker turned supernatural Alena Budrene is lovely and lethal, and for the first time, she’s owning it. Finally rid of her low-life ex-husband, she’s free to date sexy vampire mob boss Remo, who respects her as both a Supe and a woman. She’s on good terms with her difficult mother, and she’s … mother, and she’s growing comfortable with her powers.
But just when it seems things are falling into place for Alena, Hera strikes again: the Aegrus virus rages across Seattle, threatening the life of everyone in its path—including Remo, infected by Hades. The only way to stop the carnage is to face Hera and her army in a no-prisoners battle to determine the fate of the human race—and Alena’s future.
In a sweeping voyage from the Seattle bar scene to a netherworld populated by murderous gods and monsters, Alena confronts one adversary after another on a quest to set the world right for both humans and Supes and demonstrate her power—to the gods and to herself—once and for all.

I loved reading Hisses and Honey …
it is the 3 book in the Venom Trilogy… it’s so full of action that when you read one page you must continue to read to get to the next page until you get to the end. Alena a baker is a wonderful Super Duper (Supernatural) that can turn into a huge snake and she must yet again fight to protect her friends, family, and the humans from a God that is threatening the world and her life. Remo: the Vampire leader Loves Alena but in order to protect Alena he must break it off with her.. (bad choice in my books)… my thought he should of been honest with her from the start… But the Rules state that mixed species can never be together.
Does Alena win this final battle? Will Remo and Alena Have there H.E.A.?
for these answers to your wondering minds of what will happen you must read this awesome book…
I gave Hisses and Honey 5 stars because it is well written and made me want to continue reading till the end non-stop after I started the first page..

Hisses and Honey: The Venom Trilogy #3
Alena is filled with such hope at the outset. Remo soon devastates her heart though & then Tad’s follows! Santos then attacks her & uses humans he’s ‘charmed’ to trash her Bakery, while they fight. She learns an ugly, dangerous truth from one of his men as they’re leaving! With Santos gone the Vampire’s should be on her side with whatever comes next except the Council are in Seattle and their intentions are troublesome!!
They leave house 13 with Sandy in tow. It was Remo’s after all. Tad & Alena finally think they’ve uncovered what their Dad’s bloodline is!! Back at the Bakery she finally faces Hercules & the Hydra for the first time. He’s clearly confused by a monster that’s protecting the lives of humans & supernaturals not just lashing out without care! The Hydra, however, doesn’t care & is deadly & vicious, she takes pleasure in the death & devastation she wreaks!!
Alena, now grief stricken, needs Zeus to step up to his job. The virus is rampaging through the population in days instead of weeks, people are dying are needlessly at a huge rate!! He goes to the Underworld but is jailed so Alena goes to face Hades. He strikes an almost impossible deal with her but she has no choice, he holds a loved ones life in his hands. The final battle is upon her, will she be able to save everyone??
This was an emotive finale to this series. There were some interesting reveals & awful shocks & loss! Hers finally makes another appearance too. This was a fun, witty though tension filled series. The emotional & internal journey for Alena was huge. I’d definitely recommend reading or listening to this trilogy, although for me, it’s this authors most annoying series too.

Didn’t get past the first few chapter because I couldn’t stay interested.
This third Venom trilogy book doesn’t stop. It is one thing, after another, followed immediately by another. The different emotions seem to come more alive and varied than the first two books brought out. Everything does tie up at the end with some room for another book if Shannon wants to keep things going later.
