Visiting the Black Elkhorn Lodge and Resort is Mia Evans’s last option. She’s bordering on a nervous breakdown. Everyone in her life she thought she could count on deserted her. And, to make matters worse, she has the foulest case of writer’s block in the history of the world. She figures getting herself out of the prison her apartment in Chicago has become will help jar her life and her writing … writing out of the rut they are in. But she isn’t prepared for the surly, sexy cowboy – who looks like her every dark fantasy come alive – riding into her life on his trusty steed.
Cole Stewart only loved one woman in all his thirty-five years, until he lost her forever and swore he would never love another. Since then he’s had a revolving door with the subs at his lifestyle club Cuffs & Spurs, all with the unwritten rule that he doesn’t get involved or do relationships of any kind, period. That is, until Mia Evans, the burned-out, anxiety ridden author, needing to get away from her real life, nearly runs him over with her car. Seeing the haunted expression in her gaze and a body he craves, the Dom in him knows he must have her, must taste her and feel her writhing beneath him. But will he be willing to risk his heart for the untamed passion he finds in her arms?
Publisher’s Note: This steamy romance contains elements of power exchange.

Mia has left her anxiety riddled life behind. Mia is hoping to relax and break her writer’s block. Cole works with his brother Mason running the Black Elkhorn Lodge. Cole fights the attraction to Mia. Then a snow storm forces them to be together. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cole was captivated with his city girl right from the start and there lied the problem. He never expected that he could love again after he lost his first love but there was something about Mia. The more time he spent with her the more she pulled him in to wanting to protect her. Mia has abandonment issues. She lost her parents at a very early age and went on to bury her las link to family with she lost her aunt. Her boyfriend proved to be a class jerk and the friends she thought she had were not. Her fame only bought her loneliness and when she had another massive panic attack she packed her bags and headed out of Chicago. No she is in Wyoming in the vast open land and she is coming to life thanks to Cole. Will these two heal each other or push the other away?

FANTASTIC!
On heck of a page turning rollercoaster ride that keeps you nice and uncomfortable on the edge of your seat! An Emotionally engrossing storyline that is very well written and realistic! Intense, exciting, a myriad of emotions and lip-biting panty-melting sinfully hot chemistry! An amazing must read!
This was a definite slow burner. I found that there was a lot of interaction between the main characters before they even got into bed together actually over half way through, but that was okay. Mia is an author and she is struggling from severe writers block cause by her anxiety, so she runs and ends up at Colts lodge. Colt is into the BDSM lifestyle but hasn’t had any serious relationships since his ex-girlfriend died. He has hidden away parts of himself. However with his brother finding his woman, Colt starts to feel restless, this ends when he meets Mia.
With them being thrown together due to his being a guide , things start to get a little more hands on between them. Now will Mia stay or go back and is Colt strong enough to fight for what can be a great thing.

I loved this story! Between the strong and dynamic characters to the well-written and developed plot.
Anya Summers truly was able to portray a person with severe anxiety marvelously.

May be the best…
This is book four in the “Cuff & Spurs” series and may be the best in my opinion. While I have loved all the books in the series, there was something about this one that pulled me in. Maybe it was how I could relate to Mia. Anxiety, stress and writer’s block is pushing her to a nervous breakdown. Needing a break, she heads to Jackson Hole to relax and regroup. What she finds is Cole. Cole believes he has had and lost his “one true love” so he keeps women at arms length. Sure he plays with the subs but he never gets close. That will all change when he meets Mia. Their relationship will change them both. Will Cole be willing to let the past go and embrace a future with Mia?

I really enjoyed Cole and Mia’s story. It’s a bit of a slow start, but because both these characters have issues and baggage, so to me that really fit with the characters. Regardless, The attraction is there from the start and just continues to build with each interaction they share. I liked these characters a lot. I could really sympathize and identify with Mia because I also suffer from anxiety. Having loved and lost that love, Cole has chosen to close himself off emotionally and I think that’s something that is also very relatable. Together I thought these two were perfection. Mia helped Cole remember that love is worth the risk and Cole helped Mia gain confidence and find her center. With plenty of steam and emotions, this book and series are entertaining and a real pleasure to read.
Great addition to the Cuffs and Spurs series. The author brings strong characters in Mia and Cole, gives them a hot chemistry and a lot of lovin’. The cast of supporting characters help to bring the story around. She creates an intriguing story that to me may be the best in this series. It’s well written, moves quickly and smoothly and drew me in from start to finish. I enjoyed this book and would recommend reading.
All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Really enjoyed it. Felt like I had never left and loved reading Cole’s and Mia’s story. very well written.
Another great entry to the Cuffs & Spurs Series. Mia is a wonderfully believable character that I liked right away. Cole is grumpy, sexy, and distant. These opposites definitely attract!

I love this series. His Untamed Love is the fourth book in the series. This is Cole and Mia’s story. Cole lost the only woman he had ever loved and decided that there would never be another. Mia lost everyone that she loved, everyone always left. Cole and his brother Mason own a resort and when Mia checks in and meets Cole sparks fly. This is a great book with great characters. I love that i was able to catch up with some of the characters from the previous books. This is a steamy, hot read and I would definitely recommend it.

4,5 stars
I really enjoy this series by Anya Summers. Just love the discrictions of the beautiful area they live in with the mountains and lake. And I like the slight rough around the edges characters.
I did wanted to slap Cole on his head a few time for being so stubborn, but It was wonderful to see how he loved his land and his parents legacy.
Mia made me think off all the authors out there. I can’t be easy to stay productive while live explodes around you.
It is a wonderful read.
FThis has some power exchange lots of love. After losing the love of his life he couldn’t have another right. Well if famous western author Mia gets her way it could be love.read this and I won’t be dissapointed . This is a standalone with a HEA.
I haven’t read the other books in this series, but the “motley crew” from Jackson Hole are absolutely adorable. They’re incredibly rough around the edges, but it seems once they find their other half, they’re completely smitten and fall hard. After all that Cole and Miss have been through in their lives, they’re passion is explosive and hot.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Mia had been driving for days it seem since it was a 21 hour drive with stops along the way. When she goes to check into the Black Elkhorn Ranch and Resort where she had booked a months stay in one of the cabins. When she was starting to back out all she saw was a cowboy on his horse she almost hit by her car. Once settled into her cabin she proceeded to set up an office space and then she lost power. Mia called the front desk because she needed maintenance. Mia meets Cole the cowboy she almost hit his horse. Mia decided to out to the porch and write in her journal it had been so long since she has written anything.
Mia calls the next day and decides to book a fishing trip even though she didn’t know how to fish. Cole couldn’t believe that it was Mia he was taking out the next day. Cole had know idea really why he was drawn to Mia except the Dom in him wanted to protect her. Cole hadn’t felt that pull since Lana died. Almost everyday Mia tried something new like horseback riding and going hiking on her own until she came by a rattlesnake. She hears the hoof sounds and looks up to see Cole on his horse he puts her up in front of him. They hadn’t see each other in a couple of days when they decided to hike they got to a certain point where Cole could see the storm clouds coming in. The storm got to them quickly as they made it down to his cabin it was at whiteout so they decided they would stay there until they could venture out. Cole decided to seduce her and see if she could ever be a submissive. He explained about the dom/sub relationship and to show her up he took his belt to make a restraint. Mia couldn’t believe that Cole spanked her and she was loving it. It was the next day when his brother and friend came to bring them their snowmobile. When they got to Mia’s cabin she had no idea what to do so she told him she would see him around. Cole knew that he had to nip this in the bud but he just couldn’t at that moment. Cole takes Mia to the club where they would scene together for the first time in public. Things were going well with each other she even told him she might stay another week but he then told her again it didn’t matter if she stayed he didn’t do relationships. He told her about Lana and and that she was the love of his life and that’s why he didn’t do relationships. She tells him she was not going to compete with a ghost and she told him to get out of her cabin. Mis knew she couldn’t stay any longer and let Billie at reception that she was leaving the resort early. Billie called Emily and Mason and told them about Mia leaving and she wasn’t staying the last week. Mason told Billie to refund that week back to Mia. Just when Cole walks into the kitchen Mason tells him Mia was leaving. Then he and Mason got into it and Mason tells him it’s time to let it go with Lana’s ghost. Mia leaves and starts off toward Jackson Hole as she was merging onto the freeway her car was hit and it tumbled down the hill. Jackson calls Mason and tells him about the accident and that Mia was in the hospital. Mason tells Cole about Mia he was glad that she had not died. Cole was so sorry because of their talk last night he didn’t think she would leave that fast. Cole new that Mia had worked her way into his heart but he just was too stubborn to admit it to himself. Will Mia go back to Chicago to get on with her life or could they finally have an HEA
Mia escapes to a resort in Wyoming to recharge and find the cure for her writer’s block. A city girl through and through, she’s completely out of her element in the vast expanse of nature but that seems to be exactly what she needs to recenter her life after her recent heartbreak. Cole runs the outdoor adventures at the resort he shares with his brother, and he’s absolutely certain that he’s got his life figured out – no complications, no risking his heart again.
Whether it’s Cole’s guided tours in fishing and horseback riding or just the man himself, Mia is able to relax and start writing again. But the more things start to fall into place for her, the more they’re falling apart for Cole. He thought he could have a no-strings fling with the beautiful Mia, but his heart is forcing him to rethink his priorities and life plans. Their scorching hot chemistry is a driving force that neither of them can resist, leading to some kindle-melting love scenes that get hotter and hotter.
I loved the turnabout – even though Mia came to the resort to refocus her life, it was Cole who had the longest and hardest emotional journey. I was instantly drawn into this beautiful, sensual world with genuine characters and a whole lot of heart. Cole is a magnificent man truly in his element, and it was pure enjoyment to watch him discover how to let love complete his already perfect life. Mia is a sweet success story who is missing a foundation, a home base, that she was lucky to find in Cole. It’s an enchanting love story, start to finish. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Love this authors work and look forward to reading more. I couldn’t put it down til I finished it. It as a great storyline and some great characters to read about plus it’s sooo hooot and steamy, you might need a cold drink when reading it. Hope you all enjoy it to
As you may have guessed from my reviews of the previous books in this series, I don’t like brats. So, Mia was an absolute breath of fresh air for me. Her anxiety and do-it-anyway spirit really called to the introvert in me. I think we get to know who she is “right now” quite well. I would have loved to be able to read more about what made her into this woman, though. That felt like a big plot hole to me. Gone is the lighter-hearted Cole we met in the previous book. This man is a dark, brooding jerk. He has moments of sweetness but almost no vulnerability. He creates just as much whiplash as Mason did before him, and it’s just as frustrating as ever. There are reasons given for why Cole behaves this way, but I wasn’t able to wrap my brain around why they turned him into this particular brand of alpha-hole. I loved that he finally got out of his own way, I just would have like to see this as a gradual change instead of like a light switch being flipped at the eleventh hour. One the whole, this is my favorite in the series so far.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout as part of the box set.
This is a well written story with nice storyline and plot. It is the fourth of this series but can easily be read as a standalone. I like though that it has updates of the characters from the previous stories. Likeable characters with a nice chemistry.
She is an author that is going to be at the ranch for a month to find her spirit in writing again. Cole works there and when they meet the attraction between is very forceful but they do not act on it. Fate tries to help out but does it work. Can they get their HEA with each other?
Sweet, romantic story that is captivating and enjoyable to read.
Mia was a history teacher in Chicago. She had decided to write a fictional book about westward expansion of the railroad and it was not only published but bought and turned into a TV series. Now she has writers block after being betrayed. So, she laid a map of the United States out on her desk, closed her eyes, and pointed to a location. It was purely by chance she had chosen Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Now she was hiding out in Elkhorn Lodge and Resort to get away from her life and trying to break the block from her panic-driven conundrum. When she first arrived, she’d almost backed her vehicle into Cole, who she dubbed the sexy, surly cowboy! Anya Summers has once again given life to two characters who have had heartbreak and angst in their life. This is one that will melt your heart but they need to go through all the growing pains first.
