Visiting the Black Elkhorn Lodge and Resort is Mia Evans’s last option. She’s bordering on a nervous breakdown. Everyone in her life she thought she could count on deserted her. And, to make matters worse, she has the foulest case of writer’s block in the history of the world. She figures getting herself out of the prison her apartment in Chicago has become will help jar her life and her writing … writing out of the rut they are in. But she isn’t prepared for the surly, sexy cowboy – who looks like her every dark fantasy come alive – riding into her life on his trusty steed.
Cole Stewart only loved one woman in all his thirty-five years, until he lost her forever and swore he would never love another. Since then he’s had a revolving door with the subs at his lifestyle club Cuffs & Spurs, all with the unwritten rule that he doesn’t get involved or do relationships of any kind, period. That is, until Mia Evans, the burned-out, anxiety ridden author, needing to get away from her real life, nearly runs him over with her car. Seeing the haunted expression in her gaze and a body he craves, the Dom in him knows he must have her, must taste her and feel her writhing beneath him. But will he be willing to risk his heart for the untamed passion he finds in her arms?
Publisher’s Note: This steamy romance contains elements of power exchange.

A really good romance with lots of heat.
Mia is a woman who has reached her comfort level and needs a break from her life. So, she does what any other sane woman would do and goes on a trip to the country. *Heavy on the sarcasm* Cole is a Dom who isn’t into relationships… well, he didn’t do them until he met Mia. Both have things in their past that make them leary but Mia is ready for a change. The question is whether Cole can make that change.
Again, it deals with the BDSM lifestyle and it’s many, many variations so if that’s not for you don’t read this book. But, this whole series has been amazing and this book is no different.
His Untamed Love is book four in Ms. Summers Cuff and Spurs series. This book did not disappoint. Ms. Summers has not lost her momentum. To me….. I needed to read this book as part of the series as appose as a standalone. I enjoy past characters, and since I know the history of some of the past characters, that made me relate to the current characters more.
Mia is a Chicago downtown city historical fiction writer and famous t.v. series developer with anxieties and self esteem issues. I liked her right out the gate because, she owned up to who she is and the set backs she has. She knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to say or express her feelings.
Cole is hard, surly and a sexy Dom that doesn’t do long term relationships. Cole has a hard time forgetting some hardship in his past and he’s letting it interfere with his future.
Mia needed a change of scenery. She came to the Black Elkhorn Lodge and resort in Wyoming to finish her book and relax… if she can.
Cole is a man of many hats, he’s a horse, fishing and hiking guide and a maintenance man, among other things. Somehow through different circumstances, Cole and Mia are thrown together in each of these outdoor excursion. At first Cole fights their attraction, but they finally both give and start a consensual sexual relationship, with a deadline. Feelings change and Mia wants more, but Cole is holding on to the past and won’t commit to anything more. Events lead to Cole to realize his true feelings and he wants Mia without deadlines.
This book in the series for me was at the top of my list. I like the length of the book, it didn’t take long for the heroine to fall for the hero, and the hero is still strong and dominate.
For this book in the Cuffs and Spurs series we find Mia a popular writer with a contracted tv series based on her books suddenly has a bad case of writer’s block. On a spur of the moment decision, she finds a place in Wyoming and books a month long stay at Black Elkhorn Lodge. She finds herself surrounded by miles untamed wilderness, but her cabin is top of the line with all the amenities she could wish for. Right away she meets Cole a large handsome man on a big black stallion that she nearly runs into with her luxury SUV. The next meeting, Mia blows the circuits and has no electricity and calls for maintenance and it’s Cole that shows up to fix the problem. Come to find out, Cole is part owner of the Lodge and takes the clients on horseback riding trails, hiking and fishing excursions. Each new experience Mia tries is led by Cole and every time they are together something happens and Mia is to blame for one reason or another, she needs a protector! Cole is just the man for her as he’s a Dominant and wants to show Mia what submitting to him would be like. Cole and Mia do have a connection and Mia is learning that being submissive to Cole’s Dom is actually thrilling her. We do get to meet Emily the chef and her fiance Mason, Coles partner and younger brother and a few other characters we’ve met in previous Cuffs and Spurs books. Mia is doing pretty good with her panic attacks and feeling her inspiration returning as she begins writing again. Cole has his problems, he’s still hung up about his fiance that died in an accident after leaving him. He feels he’s had his once in a lifetime love and lives like he will never love again. This leaves no room for the attraction that Cole and Mia have for each other as Mia is finding more confidence with her writing and as a budding submissive to Cole. There are many adventures for Mia, and conflicts for both of them as they do their best to enjoy the time together that is left of Mia’s stay. Can Cole discover he can love again? Can Mia beat her writers block and get back to her normal life in Chicago after her rest and recreation at the Lodge is over and she must part from Cole?
I totally enjoyed this story and how Mia relaxes her old lifestyle and learns a new one in Cole’s Lifestyle of kink.

There is great chemistry between Cole and Mia in this latest story by Anya Summers. As always with any of her stories, the storyline is really good and imaginative whilst also being realistic. I enjoyed reading this and look forward to reading her next book.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Definitely recommended
Great story that I had trouble putting down.
There’s plenty going on that it just kept me
turning the pages and also has some steamy
scenes.

A well written standalone within the series it has explicit sex scenes, an introduction into a D/s relationship, a scene at a BDSM club, along with some mild bondage, spankings. It is about trust and honesty and moving forward. Mia a writer escaping to try and cure her writers blocks ends up at the resort. Cole part owner stays more to himself still grieving doesn’t do vanilla that he is a Dominant and only is involved with submissives. During a hike they are forced to wait out a storm causing them no longer to hold back attraction with Mia accepting his dominance and guidance as a perfect sub. When finding he can’t committ she is broken hearted, hurt, shattered, feels abandoned and rejection sending her will back to Chicago but has an accident on the way out rolling down a torain. I really enjoyed this story with laughs, friendships, family, tormented emotions, raw passion and so much more.

Mia is trying to get out of her comfort zone, what better place than Jackson Hole, Wyoming? She is a city girl and admittedly believes that she does not belong in this foreign environment, but she is going to try to do something different to get out of her rut. When she almost runs into Cole and his horse, sparks fly in more ways that one.
Cole is somewhat bored and burned out by his daily life. He is happy for his brother and soon to be sister-in-law, but it has added an extra load to his daily activities. When Mia, the city girl almost hits him and his horse, it triggers more than anger. It seems to awaken his protective nature. She may be a spoiled city girl, but she is trying to learn.

I haven’t read the previous books in this series but if I’m going to judge for this book alone, I’d go back and read the others too.
The thing I liked the most about this book was the slow build up of the relationship between Mia and Cole. There was no insta-love between them. No insta-lust either. They did feel the attraction but it wasn’t like they were jumping bones at 5 minutes of meeting each other and that was great.
Mia has a major case of writer’s block and goes to the Black Elkhorn Lodge and Restaurant for a much needed time off from her regular life. She manages to get herself into some situations that are just hilarious to read about and Cole is always there to save the day.
Cole had his heart broken years ago and he swore he would never get attached to another woman again. Tough luck, he meets Mia and without even knowing it, despite his better judgment, falls in love with the woman in cabin D, Mia.
It takes something big to make Cole wake up but, it won’t be too late to get the woman he loves, right?

I have loved everything I have read by Anya Summers. I lover her characters and the emotional connection her writing causes between them and the reader. It is so easy to fall in love with and cheer for them. I love the angst that she causes between the MCs and the way she resolves the situation to give them their HEA. Everything about this one is sweet, sassy, and sexy, and I’m impatiently waiting for the next one.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Mia Evans and Cole Stewart. In this book we find two people who are looking for that spark to come back into their life. Mia needs the spark to get her writing career back on track not to mention her life. Mia has had one hit after another in her life and is looking for a change to help her find herself again. Cole has had other women but there is something unsatisfying about them lately. So when he almost gets run over by Mia while on a horse he is slightly rude to her. Later when he has to fix her electrical in her cabin he sees her again and something comes over him he never expected. Can these two find the one thing that could help and heal them both or will they find it will just cause them more problems in the long run?
This is an amazingly hot book. It has it’s ups and downs that will have you hooked on these characters from the first word. There is so much I want to tell you about this book but I don’t want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
The fourth book in the Cuffs and Spurs series that I enjoyed reading this is a well-written book. It is Mia Evans and Cole Stewart’s story, both have somethings to overcome before they can move forward especially Cole. Okay, can I have more of this book, please? It was awesome. I enjoyed this newest edition immensely. Ms. Summers is one of those writers that you you try to read everything they write because they never disappoint. The books are ALWAYS outstanding. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
I love this series. They are all great characters. This book has reference to people in other books but reads smooth as a stand alone. The storyline is interesting and keeps your interest throughout the whole book. Gotta love them hot cowboys.
An amazing book. Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

Although I’m not of big fan of the spanking stuff, Ms. Summers writes good stories and this one is no exception. It seemed a little hurried towards the end but I liked Mia so much I can overlook the rush. You don’t have to read the previous books in order to enjoy this one. Recommended read if the spanking doesn’t matter.

Mia, an intrverted city girl writer meets Cole a dominant , grumpy cowboy and sparks fly when she literally nearly runs over him.
This is my favorite book so far in this well written series full of dominant cowboys and steamy scenes. You can read this book as a stand alone – but don’t deprive yourself of the other books in the series!

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading this story about Mia and Cole. Mia heads to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for recharge. She has had writers block pretty much since her aunt died and her ex dumped her. Once she arrives all the Elkhorn Lodge she almost runs over a handsome cowboy. Cole is the co owner of the lodge. He also happens to be the tour guide that keeps getting paired with an inexperienced Mia. Follow then on a journey of emotions as they get stuck in a cabin Durning a blizzard and the chemistry spikes. Watch as Mia leans about her submissive side and how she craves Cole’s dominate side.

I have never been disappointed in an Anya Summers book and this one stands up to be just as GREAT as the rest. I am really enjoying the Cuffs and Spurs series and coming to really love the characters that appear from book to book. I was so excited to see that book 4 was Cole’s chance at love. After losing Lana, the love of his life, Cole had become such a loner, withdrawn into his own little world. Then Mia shows up. Cole recognizes a lost, broken soul and the Dom in him wants to fix her, take away her pain and make her a whole person again. The question becomes can he let go of his own pain in the process? Is he ready and willing to embrace joy and happiness or will he continue to stay withdrawn, lonely? What will it take for Cole to open his heart again? Is Mia strong enough to fix Cole while she fixes herself? One click this one to find out the answers to these questions and enjoy this beautiful setting Anya Summers has created.

This is book 4 in the “Cuffs and Spurs” series and I can’t get enough! The storyline was well written and the dynamic characters pulled me in right from the beginning and kept me totally hooked until the turn of the very last page!
