Having a hot boss isn’t complicated or confusing at all,Said no one ever… affection.
In the end, I just plain wanted to crush him.
Now he’s back, and he might as well have “do not touch” printed on his chest.
One tiny question: would it count if I didn’t use my hands?
Let me answer my own question. Yes, Emily, you raging horndog, it counts. Besides, my dream is practically waiting for me like a perfectly wrapped, shiny little package if I can just behave. I’d be an absolute idiot to risk that, and I have a long, proud history of not being an idiot to protect.
Unless it’s kind of like when you do really well in class all semester so you can afford to flunk a test at the end. Three months is a long time, and if he’s the one giving me the big, fat, dirty “F”, it does add a little dose of temptation to the equation.
But all I have to do is one quick job for him. A few posters and a few props for a big Halloween party that he’s hosting.
Then I just walk away from his dreamboat eyes and perfect body, grab a plane, and forget about all the beautiful children we could’ve squeezed inside our white picket fence.

I am really enjoying the Objects of Attraction series by this author. Give me real life situations that make me hysterically cackle like a chicken and I am one happy camper.
Ryan, who we met in Her Cherry (book 2) working with Hailey, is a single guy, not looking for a mate but trying to set everyone else up with their soulmates. Unfortunately people in his life are trying to set him up with Emily. They actually knew each other in high school which she remembers immediately, while he does not. Neither has the drive to enter into a relationship right now, she is going to Paris and he feels love just isn’t in his future. Can a comedy of errors, orchestrated by their peanut gallery help or hinder their coming together?
This 4 ½ star book had me excitedly turning pages, laughing out loud numerous times as I pictured the antics these friends were attempting throughout the book. Even the hysterical Grammy turns up again at the nursing home. I want her to be my Grammy!!! William, Bruce and the whole gang are front and center in this sideshow of ridiculousness flouncing all other the city trying to “help” Ryan win the girl of his dreams. I can’t wait to see who stars in the next installment, please let it be Lilith.
Penelope Bloom has a knack for writing romantic comedies. I read His Banana and Her Cherry and was snorting coffee up my nose from laughter. His Treat left me bent over laughing. I have no idea how this author comes up with such funny situations and witty banter, but I love it!
Ryan works for William (Her Cherry) and Bruce (His Banana) at their company, Galleon. He also took over Hailey’s bakery and has created very successful franchises. He friend-zones every woman as he has been burned multiple times in the past. He is overly cautious when it comes to relationships, yet he can’t help being drawn towards Emily. Emily is an artist who agrees to create props and artwork for Ryan’s company’s Halloween party. She has lofty goals and does not want to start anything with Ryan even though she is attracted two him. It seems like the two need a little push to get together. Both characters are wonderful and well developed. They both have great personalities with lots of humor, but they are also vulnerable. You cannot help, but love Ryan’s vulnerability and the scheme that he comes up with at the end.
While this book features characters from her previous 2 books – His Banana and Her Cherry, this book can be read as a standalone. I do love that William as well as Hailey’s crazy, sex-obsessed grandma are featured prominently in this book as well as scenes with Bruce and Natasha. William and his crazy matchmaking antics are extremely entertaining. Lilith, Emily’s friend, is something else and Steve, Ryan’s roommate, was a hoot.
Told from a dual POV, His Treat is a very enjoyable, fast-paced romantic comedy with wonderful main characters as well as secondary characters. This is a humorous book with unique and creative situations and witty banter. I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review.

It was Emily’s favorite times of the year because it meant it was Fall.
Emily was working at a senior home teaching painting. Ryan comes into seeing the home to see his grammy. Where he meets Emily she sees him and thinks he looks like a boy she knew in school. Ryan keeps thinking he knows her from somewhere but couldn’t remember. Ryan hires Emily to do the Art work for his Halloween Party. Ryan wants to get to know her better since they will be working together. Her friend Lilith keeps teasing her about Ryan even though nothing is happening. Ryan and Emily go out for lunch before she started to paint. While at the restaurant two men show up with ski masks and one sounded so familiar. Ryan proceeds to get the drop on the men and when he pulled off the masks one was his roommate Steve and his other friend William doing one of their pranks.
William was always playing practical jokes and he pulls another one on them. Ryan still hasn’t let her know about the pranks William had played on them. Ryan had a past with Emily but he didn’t remember until his friend Steve reminded him. Emily and Ryan went to the Halloween party where Ryan confesses that the robbery was a set up by William to get them together. Emily and Ryan finally get together. The next day at her art job Ryan showed up to see Grammy. Emily gets a call front the art school she was going to attend. She was asked to go in a couple of days she would be personal apprentice to the artist. The next day comes and Ryan was having a pity party and Stephanie his partner at the bakery told him to go after her. Emily takes off to the airport meanwhile Ryan and friends are planning to get a hold of Emily before she boards the plane.
Will Ryan get to see Emily? Will Emily change her mind and leave the plane to go back to Ryan?
