Fated mates. A fated family. One mistake that could shatter them all.A small town cop and a single dad, Gabe Wilder already has more on his plate than he can handle. But when a routine traffic stop turns into making out with the sexiest woman he’s ever laid eyes on, things get even crazier, because Zoe Karrington isn’t any ordinary woman—she’s his fated mate. The last thing Zoe expects is to end … mate.
The last thing Zoe expects is to end up in the arms of a sexy shifter who makes her feel— and do—things she’s never expected. More surprising still, is the immediate love she feels for Gabe’s young son.
But when Zoe’s reckless actions put the boy at risk, can Zoe prove to Gabe and—more importantly—herself, that the love she has for his son is just as fated as their own? Or will she lose the family her heart craves more than anything?
Reader note: His to Tame is a full length stand alone bear shifter novel with no Cliffhangers! This series contains: strong, sassy, curvy women; sexy alpha males; steamy shifters and sizzling sex scenes.

His to Tame is a beautiful story about fated mates Gabe and Zoe. Zoe takes some convincing, but what sexy, steamy times to get there. Things look bleak when Zoe goes against Gabe’s wishes, where Ashton, his son, is concerned. Will this be the end? I loved this story and you can’t help falling in love with six-year-old Ashton. This book is about family, blood or not, fated mates, love, and a big side of suspense. If you love reading about strong females and the men they fall for, you really need to read this series.
great read
You will enjoy this whole series.
His to Tame is book six in the Bears of Grizzly Ridge series. Zoe and Gabe’s connection is instant and powerful, and their chemistry oozes off the page. But mistakes are made. Can they find their way back to each other and believe in fate? I loved their story. I definitely recommend it.
How can you not love a BBW and bear shifter book? Especially a one when that is angsty as this one is. Second loves are always the hardest and best to find, especially when they are fated mates and they love your child. What a great book.
His to Tame is the six book in the Bears of Grizzly Ridge by Elena Aitken and definitely worth reading.
Small town cop and single dad, Gabe Wilder has more than enough to handle when we makes a routine traffic stop that ends in a kiss, with the sexiest woman he has ever seen and his fated mate.
Zoe Karrington has been running from something for months until she finds herself on Grizzly Ridge with her sister. Meeting Gabe and immediately falling in love with him and his son is so surprising, but can she make this work or will she lose everything she has ever wanted with her reckless behavior and half truths.
I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series!
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
Zoe’s life changed unexpectedly and she didn’t know how to respond so she ran. She arrives at her sister’s place and meets Gabe. There are sparks from their first encounter but both need to decide if fate is worth it.
No Spoliers read on Wow Elena never writes anything less then perfection. The emotions behind Zoe and Gabe’s story are deep and raw very well written and not skirted around to make light of them. We all know Elena has HEA in her books but never know how or where the storyline will get there. This book does not dissappoint. Very well written love to see the characters from the other books in the Grizzly Ridge series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Elena Aitken is a rare gem. The magic she creates with her words is just beyond amazing. She is an author with many talents. She can write so many different genre’s and every book be so amazing. Elena Aitken is a phenomenal author. She makes all her books readable and easy to follow plus the struggles are realistic.
Gabe Wilder and Zoe Karrington are definitely perfect for each other. Gabe is a single dad who has lost his mate. Zoe comes to Grizzly Ridge and definitely has some baggage. From the moment they meet there is so many emotions. Definitely chemistry. Gabe and Zoe have issues to overcome. Gabe’s son Ashton captivated my heart from the beginning. He is definitely a cutie.
In His to Tame you get everything wrapped up in one story. You get excitement, danger, romance and even some funny moments. This is the second book in this genre that I’ve read and I love it. Elena Aitken has captivated my heart with Grizzly Ridge. From page one I was mesmerized. I couldn’t put the book down. I felt everything reading this book. I want to live in Grizzly Ridge. Phenomenal plot that kept me intrigued. I was left wanting more. Elena Aitken you made me fall in love with Grizzly Ridge. Thank you for inviting me to discover there is more out there then just straight up romance. I love Paranormal Romance and everything about shifters.
Zoe’s life has been turned upside down, and everything she ever wanted can never happen. Gabe lost his mate, the mother of his child, and does not expect his draw to Zoe. Fated mates are different but the connection does not guarantee things will be easy. Zoe is going through so much turmoil all at once, it’s heartbreaking. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
What I love most about this book, & all of the books from the Bears of Grizzly Ridge series, is that the book is 90% about the romance & the connection between the main characters. From the minute Zoe & Gabe met, their chemistry jumps off the page at you. They were so into each other, nothing else existed. I loved the relationship Gabe had with not only his son, Ashton but also his former mother-in-law. Rather than move her away from the center of their lives, Gabe & Ashton moved to be closer to her. Zoe & Ashton had an instantly strong relationship once they met since, as Ashton put it “she felt like home”. Add in Zoe’s personal crisis, a small accident & a threat from Gabe’s prior life & this story kept you involved & on the edge of your seat! I enjoyed revisiting the characters from the previous stories & there is a cliffhanger at the end of this story regarding one of them.
I liked this story of Gabe and Zoe. Zoe is the sister to Chloe who is in one of the books in this series. This book can be read without reading the others in the series but I highly recommend reading them as it will give some background information and they are good too! This book follows the other books with the 2 main characters realizing they are “fated mates.” Gabe has a son from a previous “mating” that adds some additional angst to the story as you will find out when you read this. There is also some suspense with someone from Gabe’s past that threatens this couple. There is a bit of a cliffhanger concerning another character from the series, so hopefully this will be addressed in the next book. I received an advance copy of this book from the author via booksprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Eye rolling paranormal adventure. We return to Grizzly Ridge, with a bang, a mountain lion shifter gone wrong, fated mates, fated son, the requisite miss understandings and a bit of a cliffhanger ending. A good read, although the melodrama was thick
One of the great things about this book is that the instalust/instalove is the result of being fated mates.
Gabe and Zoe connected so well. Who knew a grizzly bear and a black bear were not necessarily supposed to mate? I loved the way Zoe and Ashton connected to each other. Zoe seemed so flighty and somewhat angry at first. Once she revealed her secret, it was easier to understand her behavior. It was also nice to see Gabe had a great relationship with his mother-in-law.
I read this book in one sitting. It was a fast pacd, sexy, suspenseful shifter romance. There is a secret to share, a bit of danger, a touch of violence, and a HEA for Gabe, Zoe, and Ashton. I was surprised the way the book ended. Hopefully the situation will be resolved in the next book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy received from the author via Booksprout.
No spoilers from me however I will say that from the start, the two main characters were totally clueless about ‘fated mates’ and what that can actually mean. Let’s just say the learnin’ is swift but oh so warm and loving.
Gabe Wilder is a single dad who has lost his mate. Zoe Karrington arrives on Grizzly Ridge with some major emotional baggage. Their meeting is combustible, and hilarious, and it is mostly because neither one is looking for a relationship; let alone a ‘fated mate’. And the fun begins…
It’s not all fun and games as both Gabe and Zoe have deep emotional issues to work thru and overcome but overall, it’s always amusing when two people have no idea how deep their feelings are for each other but the rest of the world can see it clearly. Ashton, Gabe’s young son, is adorable and for me, he has the most poignant of views about life itself. Loved all three of these characters but Ashton grabbed my heart.
There is some intrigue and danger, enough to keep me reading straight thru until I finished. Loved the story and all the characters at the Ridge and really enjoyed my return visit.
