I’ve been in hiding for four years. On the run from the man in whose bed I once slept.
I saw something I shouldn’t have seen. Took something I shouldn’t have taken.
And he’s just found me.
But it’s not just my safety I have to worry about. I have a little boy. His little boy. The secret baby of a Russian mobster.
He told me in no uncertain terms that I’m his. That we would be a … terms that I’m his. That we would be a family.
But his uncle still wants me dead and I know the man whose been hunting me is the only one who can keep us safe.

A great conclusion to this duet. Lev and Kat’s journey is definitely a dark and twisted one. The twists and turns will keep you hooked until the end. Hold on for a bumpy ride.
Intense, action packed and fast paced conclusion to this fantastic dark, mafia duet, full of tension, drama and steamy hotness. An absolute page turner, I loved it!
The first book in the duet, Mine (which you must read first), left us dangling over a massive cliff and thankfully His carries on immediately where it left off. With gunshots and confusion, the action sets the tone for most of the rest of the book. Mafia wars, betrayals, secrets and twists kept me gripped throughout.
Lev and Kat had amazing chemistry but with danger all around and secrets being exposed, can Lev keep her and their son Josh alive and destroy his Uncle before he destroys Lev and all he cares about?
A page turner and a thrilling conclusion to this dark romantic suspense duet from two fabulous authors.
Rating 4.5 stars
HIS by Natasha Knight & A. Zavarelli is book Two in the Ties That Bind Series. This continues the story of f Katerina Blake ‘Kat’ and Levka Antonov ‘Lev’, so you really should read that book before starting this one. This book concludes their story and it was a page turning story for sure. Lev is out to claim his family along with protecting them. Kat who is an outsider from the mafia life is getting stronger especially now she has someone to protect with her life. This book nor has the series disappointment me. It is page turning drama with the hot alpha male who is dark along with the strong female who softens the hero some. Loved it and hope to read more from these two authors.
What a fantastic conclusion to this exciting duet! Fast paced and intense, this story revolves around Lev and Kat who are surrounded by jeopardy and corruption. Their path away from danger is a tough one, given greater tension with the precious addition of Josh.
I thoroughly enjoyed both of these books and felt I was given time to get to know the characters and take part in their various fates, many totally deserved! Great read
Ties That Bind book 2 has the most emotional journey for Kat and Lev.
This duet was such an emotional rollacoaster journey I cried, i laughed and often felt shellshock with the betrayal and heartbreak. Their story was tragic in so many ways.
The suspence the action and violence was what you would expect from a dark mafia romance.
The conclusion for Kat and Lev and little Josh will tear at you heart.
Highly recommended reading.
This ending to Lev and Kat’s story was fantastic, action-packed with twists and turns that had me reading from start until the end. This Mafia romance story is one you need to read, I strongly suggest you are prepared for a ride you will remember for a while. Definitely a story you want to add and start reading.
A thrilling conclusion to the Ties That Bind duet.
I loved every nail biting moment of this story.
The secrets that are uncovered.
The betrayal of family members.
And the true bond of others.
I was smitten with Lev in bk 1 and in this one he had me falling in love with him.
He burrowed his way into my heart and stayed.
His love for Kat is a entity of it’s own.
Omg and how he is with Josh warmed my heart and brought a smile to my face.
I knew Kat was a strong lady.
But in this book her strength is unparalleled.
What she goes through and endures for her love of Josh and Lev could break the toughest of men,but not her.
Kat has so much courage to fight her way through the hell she’s put in because she knows the light at the end of the dark tunnel is her family.
I loved the bond that Lev and Kat have between them.
And their chemistry is sizzling hot!
Josh is the most adorable young boy.
The innocence of children comes through with him.
And the two new characters that are introduced are wonderful.
Especially Maxim.
Ms. Zavarelli and Ms. Knight delivered an outstanding book(s) of mafia life and love.
With enough drama, suspense and anguish that had my heart pounding hard.
In conjunction with tenderness, lust and passion that left me breathless.
This conclusion is outstanding heartpounding action on every page as Kat and Lev work through the deceit and lies to put the puzzle together and it is painfully done as they race to solve the threats in time.
These to are so connected and on fire with so much heat and emotion you can feel it all down to your very soul it consumes and eats at you as you route for them.
So brilliantly gripping story I couldn’t get enough.
Tissue – Check
Emotional support pillow – Check
Adult beverage – Check
Next, find a quiet place.
Lock the doors and settle in for one emotionally intense heart-stopping conclusion
A little warning:
Do NOT eat beforehand (comfort foods do not count) – just trust me
Kat is still a refreshing mix of stubborn and innocence –
Life is tossing her about like a skittle in a snowstorm –
and still, she stands, unwilling to succumb to the chaos.
I think in this episode she grew so much, became more. IDK.
It’s hard to put into words but she took what was thrown at her-
the small happy moments, the heart wrenching sad ones,
all the ugly and the bad – and she owned it – sure not always graciously – but come on!
Lev may have proven himself – Okay fine I forgive him.
The pieces slowly fall into place as Lev looks for a way to protect his new family. As each truth is revealed (and wow are there some “NO Flippin way” moments) Lev and Kat find themselves in a war against time with Vasily and his henchmen while at the same time trying desperately to form a foundation for their very new and rocky relationship.
Trust has to be earned past transgressions forgiven if they are to survive as a unit.
And Lev – He may have to pay the ultimate price to protect those he loves.
Tik Tok goes the clock
This book is the second in the duet and the Book was strong mesmerizing and addicting. Kat and Lev’s story is one you won’t want to miss. I prayed through the book for a HEA and the authors didn’t disappoint. I recommend this book to all of my book friends but be sure to read Mine first. Lots of twists in this one but they only drag you further into the story. Thank you to both authors for allowing me the opportunity to read and review this first.
This was an amazing 5 star conclusion for this duet. A great combination of author that made me love these characters. It was a never ending edge of my seat kind of story. It was entertaining and full of surprises. Mine and His need to be read together. It’s a duet.
Story told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this duet.
This story is running on pure adrenaline!
Non stop action, packed into the pages that will leave you gasping for breath.
I ran the entire length of the novel, just fingertips ahead of the Mafia chasing me. Running from pillar to post, hotel to hotel, safe houses to shelter cabins……. I’m exhausted!! of the good kind!
Phew! Zavarelli alone is somewhat of an authority on Mafia Genre, add to the mix the devious mind of Knight and we have a potboiler the size of a blockbuster!!
The story starts with blood splatters, gun shots, screams and grasping hands and just keeps on gaining momentum.
There’s no respite or the fugitives. There’s abductions, gun fights, fist fights and battle of wills. Kat shows her steely spine and mama bear qualities in full force.
Lev is surprised and astounded by her bravery and mettle. He more than meets her in possessive-protective, alpha maleness, and matches her with his lion like quality of safeguarding his pride. He has firm grip on his family and won’t let them go at any cost.
Secrets are following them, danger nipping at their heels, Vor thirsty for their blood.
They are betrayed by family and find unlikely allies in the run of their lives.
Fast paced Rollercoaster ride with death defying stunts and a fight to the finish climax, ending with blood splatters, broken bones, screams and grasping hands.
Powerful as a whirlwind and equally destructive in its wake, Zavarelli and Natasha have woven a tight story with enough twists and turns to give you a whiplash. Hold your breath and jump in.

I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for honest review.
Lev and Katerina are back in this second part of the “Ties that bind” duet. Book started exactly from the book 1 cliffhanger. After book 1 climax instance, now Kat and Lev are on run from Vasily and Russian Mafia. Now it’s time for them to survive the storm. While on the run, they start to understand and trust each other gradually. Lev’s connection with Josh (their son) also increases gently.
This book delves more into Lev and Kat’s past as they start to understand the connection between their families to Mafia. Lev needs to make the right moves and be one step ahead of his enemies. With secrets being buried and dangers keep piling up against Kat and Lev, they try to navigate their way and be on the other end unharmed.
Lev’s character evolves into a protector and trustworthy man. He shows again and again that his loyalty lies with his family over everything else. Kat’s character had slight lag than I wanted her to have. She doesn’t truly question Lev. She seems to go along with it. she just isn’t pushing much against Lev’s demands. I did have moments where this bothered me but it bothered me more in Book1 than this.
Book 2 was totally action packed, fast paced book. It was full of action, suspense and twists. We meet two new secondary characters in this -Gleb and Maxim. They totally match their and personality, however I had different imagination for Gleb (position he holds), but we can accept as it is. Josh is settling and soothing boy. Can’t imagine a 4-year-old like that. Alexis is good, not sure, if he has his own story, but he was totally loveable and loyal cousin.
Over all, this conclusion doesn’t disappoint. Perfect ending, nonstop action, intriguing story, full of suspense, romance and twists. Pick up and enjoy this duet.

I loved the exciting conclusion to this duet! I didn’t want it to end because I loved Lev! Such a great read, I highly recommend!
His is the conclusion to the duet Ties That Bind. You must read the first book Mine before you begin to read this one.
We pick up where we left off in book one. Lev is still the strong and determined man willing to do whatever is necessary to keep his family safe and destroy those trying to harm them. His love for Kat is even more obvious in this installment, and his love for his son Josh was so sweet and touching.
Kat worked my nerves a little and there were a couple of times I wanted to reach in my Kindle and knock her upside the head. The mafia is after you girl! It was like watching a scary movie when the chick opens the door and you know the bad guy is going to be standing there. In Kat’s defense however, I had to remember that she didn’t grow up in this world and simply wanted to keep her son happy.
There are some secrets and truths that are revealed, as well as new characters who are introduced. His was the perfect ending to this romantic and suspenseful duet.
I was kindly provided an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Lev and Kat’s story continues in the second half of this Ties That Bind duet. It literally continues on directly from book one, Mine, where it is all action and excitement. The excitement continues throughout the entire story and I was on the edge pretty much the whole time waiting to see how things pan out or if they would.
I just need to get this off my chest… Vasily Stanislov’s son and Vasily himself are such rotten creeps. Okay, I feel better now. Without a doubt, these authors certainly know how to paint a vivid picture of evil characters- of good ones too, but these two are gross and you totally get hooked on the notion of wanting a big crane to drop something on their heads. Now normally I am not a violent person, however, these two would turn the gentlest of nuns to either violence or drink!
Kat’s character has grown even more and as I got to know her reactions in all kinds of situations my regard for her was raised to a new high. Likewise Lev too, his roots start to shine through and together they make a fantastic couple with a chemistry that is hotter than the bluest flame. Interesting new characters joined this second half of the story and they quickly worm their way into your heart too.
This duet has a solid storyline and honestly with its fast pace you find yourself thinking, oh help, there’s not much left in the book, it’s that good. I’m not a huge fan of the expression ‘the feels’ but holy moly in this instance I can assure you the variety of emotions in this story do give you all of the feels!
I thoroughly recommend this story but I look forward to reading more from this dynamic writing duo.

The Conclusion to this Duet was an exhilarating page turner….I loved it.
The Ties That Bind Duet is a suspenseful, fast paced, adrenalin pumping power house of a story set in the World of organized crime.
If Dark Dangerous reads with fantastic plot twists that keep you guessing, shocking secrets and revelations with a good dose of violence and mayhem sounds right up your street then pick up this Duet today.
I have all the heart eyes for Lev and Kat, their crazy intense story completely consumed me. I fell more in love with both of them as they struggled for survival against the criminal underworld that wants them dead.
It’s impossible not to fall hard for these characters.
Highly recommended for fans of Dark Mafia/Bratva Genre.

I was desperate for this final book in the Ties That Bind duet, and guess what, it lived up to all my expectations. If possible this book is even more action packed, more violent, more suspenseful and oh so enjoyable. Tension is running high as secrets are unravelled, family is compromised and lives are put in jeopardy. Trust has to be earned, but sometimes you’ve just got to bite the bullet and go with your gut instinct. Fantastic writing, a gripping story and characters that have more layers than an onion. Oh, a little warning, some graphic scenes, so if blood and violence aren’t your thing, maybe this book is not for you, some of these characters have pure evil running through their veins. A full five star read from me, no one does mafia romance quite like these two, and together they’re unstoppable. Note that you must read book 1 prior to reading this book. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
This is the brutal conclusion of Ties that Bind. It’s a tale about lies, deceit, and life in the Russian Mob where the rules are to be followed, and if not followed, the consequences are dire. I really enjoyed reading this fast-paced tale that is told in a duet and not drawn out and the traditors never die. Knight and Zavarelli have no issues with cold blood murder, or those that deserve to be killed and they are creatively brutal with their torture.
