Read this as part of a box set. Hot & steamy with great characters.
I was pleasantly surprised to be so entertained by this book. At the beginning, Blake was so arrogant, I could not see myself liking him. As time went on, he and Poppy had such great chemistry.
I really liked Maple. She, Poppy, and Blake were fun and funny together. There was a lighthearted approach to their story. I also liked Blake’s siblings, the twins. They didn’t let him get away with anything.
Even the bit of drama that occurred didn’t take over the tone of the book or last a long time.
A quick paced, entertaining, humorous, and sexy romance.
I voluntarily read and reviewed
A wonderfully well written, fast paced, sexy, funny captivating recommended read. It had great characters including the secondary characters the were well developed, realistic, interesting and best of all hilarious. Blake wants Poppy’s company that she inherited from an uncle and knows nothing about, but she’s excited and determined to give a shot. Blake can’t get her to sell so he tries seduction, buying the boards shares whatever measures he can. Poppy is a strong will independent women and not going to fall for his charm, but he has never heard no but the chemistry is electrifying when they are near. Awesome read. I voluntarily reviewed this standalone ARC.
This is a short and steamy romance between a man who falls in love while he tries hard to resist. Due to its short length, everything happens at a very fast pace, but still a quick enjoyable read.
A hostile takeover seems to be the only way Blake Sayers is going to get the company he wants. Poppy Masters has only just inherited the company but she plans to keep it away from the overconfident Blake Sayers. That is until they fall in love. This is a sweet enemies to lovers story with a few twists.
Poppy Masters had a rough start in life but when she was four years old, it got a lot better. That’s when her Grandmother Maple became her guardian. Fast forward twenty plus years and Poppy learns Arden Masters has died and left his business, Out & About Apparel to her. The gift comes with a stipulation and a brief commitment. If she takes up the offer, her life will change.
Peak Adventures needed an infusion so Blake Sayers was looking into O&AA as his next acquisition. It would be a perfect addition, he just needed to make an offer the new owner could not resist. That was his plan, but he made it before he met her and lets just say it appears the man had never heard the word NO before.
What transpires with these two CEO’s is interesting. Both strong-willed, alpha leaders who are committed to their companies but for different reasons. The interaction between the two main characters is very interesting and the reader is privy to his frustrations and her commitment. Will his good looks, charm and wealth make a dent in her decision or has the man met his match?
I loved this story. It is filled with interesting characters, plenty of wit and banter, some loyal and supportive characters and of course, Maple! I laughed, swooned and was totally captivated right to the end…and I have a smoking reader copy as proof!
Piper Sullivan weaves some powerful magic and His Takeover is proof of another job very well done…and as a result she has earned five stars for an endearing story and a good measure of gratitude for the laughs, smiles and the chemistry lesson
