A new to me author and a new series that I need to catch up on!! Wow! This hooked me from the beginning, a precious, hilarious three year old that has her dad and his brothers wrapped round her finger!
When he is late picking her up from school, he meets her dance teacher and sparks fly. Their connection is instant but not smooth! There were times I could quite happily of given Deck a shake but you can’t deny his first priority is his daughter.
Looking forward to reading the rest of this series and finding out who is behind the vendetta against Deck and his brothers.
Ex-Commando Deck Johnston is busy splitting his time with work at his construction company, his MC club and his precocious three year old daughter. He was not planning on falling for his daughters daycare/ballet teacher but the minute he sees her his interest is there and he wants to see where it will go. Can Deck though trust Charlotte with his daughters though especially when a threat is coming threatening not only his daughter but his woman. Can he protect them from what is coming?
I liked this one quite a bit, I thought Deck was a bit of a jerk at one part but he quickly redeemed himself. His daughter Shiloh is a hoot, she has been raised by a group of bikers who have no filters and it shows. Charlotte is sweet and totally smitten with both Shiloh and Deck. Great beginning to new series.
This a story of a single daddy, Deck Johnson who have a daughter and she being raised by single men from the military; who came together to make up a biker mc called Wounded Souls MC were ex military forces. These men have been in combats, and wars. The wounded souls members in some way physical or mentally have been hurt. But the love for a single little girl of Deck, her name is Shiloh. This little three year old Shiloh was there inspiration, and heart in a way there healing. The Deck, pick up his little girl Shiloh in daycare/dance class is with her daycare/ dance teacher Charlotte and single dad Decker find this woman attractive. Deck want to make Charlotte Jackson, his woman he alpha male military way knew she was his woman forever. This is a exciting book to read and the members of Wounded Soul MC is wonderful characters especially the first book to this series.
I ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY LOVED IT!
I was consumed from the first page, it grabbed ahold of my heart strings and pulled til I was crying like a baby. My heart ached for poor Deck and baby Shiloh but for Jason most of all. He was left with nothing but emptiness. No baby, no Zoe, nothing. I was really happy Deck let him spend time with Shiloh. Now talk about cuteness overload, Shiloh steals the show. At times I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. The way Leah describes this little 3 year olds chattering banter was spot on. I freakin LOVE this kid! Lol. I love how she had all the men wrapped around her little finger and they didn’t mind one bit. The chemistry between Deck and Charlotte was so intense you could almost feel it coming off the pages. The way Leah describes the scenes was almost like watching a movie. I would absolutely love to be loved the way Deck loves Charlie. Every time Shiloh hollers for Darf I had to laugh because I could just picture in my mind this big bad@ss biker/soldier drop everything and come running. Lol. Oh, and did I mention there’s so much smoking hot sex I thought my ovaries were gonna explode. Lol. Now both Booth and Steel need to pull their heads out of their asses I was gritting my teeth every time they hurt Stella or Mia. Though the night the girls drunk dialed the guys was hilarious! I’m really curious as to what Stella is hiding. And this Rogue soldier has me shaking my head wondering WTF? I’m dying to know who it is. Is it someone they were once close to? Is it someone they’re just overlooking that’s right in front of them? Could it be a woman? Hmmmm? Lol. Well, I gotta go get some answers. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
Wow this book was amazing. I loved each and every character especially Shiloh and Darth.
I love the way Leah brings a story together. The way you get so taken in to the story you feel what every character feels. Deck and Charlie story is a sad one but love prevails and a mad man can’t stop whats einevitable. . LOVE.
Wow, for a debut book this is amazing! All I can say is I am so glad I now have book 2 to go straight onto as book 1 was so good!
Deck and his three year old daughter Shiloh almost seem to adopt Charlotte, aka Charlie, into their life along with nine other bikers that make up the Wounded Souls MC formed by an ex commando special forces team.
Not your average, run of the mill MC book, it is so much more! Dealing with deeper issues that are unfortunately very real for so many people, the author handles these very smoothly. To balance the darkness there is a hefty dose of fun banter between the characters and a great sense of humour throughout the story.
The characters are so easy to relate to and honestly I just want to wrap Shiloh up and kidnap her, yes I know she is a fictional character! Great descriptions but more the dialogue between characters is terrific, especially Shiloh’s, at times, mischievous replies.
The mystery element keeps you guessing and wondering what is going to happen next, well done. There is an element of danger that keeps readers on the edge of their seats as well.
I totally recommend this to everyone and look forward to reading about Stella and Booth!
Such a great book/series. Loved this couple.
There are a lot of MC books out there and I love this genre. I have a few authors I avidly follow and others I have tried and were DNF’s are just not good.
Well this new to me author is one I plan on following; loved this first in a series book. No ex drama, no vindictive females, amazing lead characters and interesting secondary characters make for a book with good flow.
I would have never guessed that this is the first book from Leah Sharelle, this book was so well written, it was suspenseful, intriguing, exciting and super romantic. It captivated my heart from beginning till the end. Couldn’t put it down. And can’t wait to see what the future brings for the Wounded Souls MC. Well done Ms. Sharelle!

First off lets say this is a new series and author for us and we have to say that we loved the first book in this new amazing series and each and every book that came after.
I loved what this club stood for and the members who were part of the MC club.We often take for granted the sacrifices our soldiers make for us to keep us safe and the he** they go through and the long effects they have to live with. For me I am eternally grateful for all they do to keep us safe. This Club was created for a team of ex military soldiers and the men they served with.I loved the support system that this club had for each and every member as well as the former soldiers to come it was a place for them to feel like they belonged and had purpose. What I loved most though as they had the right people to cope with the nightmares, ptsd, mood swings etc to help them make it through the day. This really was such a touching story that it definitely touched your heart and is not a story that you would be forgetting anytime soon.
Quote-“Do you know how long it has been since I had a nightmare?” My voice was low and quiet. “The day I met Charlie, all the nightmares stopped, as did the hot flushes at night, and the waking up screaming.”
I loved all the characters this story had whether it was a MC member, or all the future old ladies to come but, I had a real soft spot in my heart for Shiloh.
I loved Deck & Charlotte’s/Teach/Charlie’s story as no couple could be further opposites.Charlie a Pre-School helper/Dance Teacher and Deck the Ex-Soldier who was a bad a**.I loved them together they were the perfect mix of hard and soft.
Omg! This couple burned up the sheets! Charlie/Teach had a little bit of kink to her and when she let her freak out Holy Hotness!
Quote-“It’s good you like it, Sweetness,” he said, his voice a deep rumble while his gaze demanded my attention. I could not look away even if I’d wanted to. “It’s going to happen a lot more, Charlie.
I loved Teach from the moment we met her.She was so sweet, kind, loving and a breath of fresh air.Teach has a heart of gold and she was beautiful on the outside as well as within.
Deck- I loved him from page one.I loved his caveman ways(lol),I loved his possessiveness, loved his bada**ary as well as the way he joked with his brothers but, most of all I loved the devotion and love he had for his daughter Shiloh.
Quote-“A man so deep in love with his daughter his heart made a choice that at the time made perfect sense. Shiloh will always come first. And I don’t think you or anyone else should ever expect any different. If you do, well, then shame on you.”
This story and the stories to come you will see that Shiloh plays and important part in each and every story. I loved that this girl was a savior and bright light to a bunch or broken soldiers and she was their saving grace in so many way for these wounded soldiers.
“Just Heart melting!” and “oh so funny!”
The story was filled with so much love as well as brought us tons of laughs especially when all the girls got together and then all He** broke loose.
LOL
I loved the suspense but, most of all I loved the amazing characters that the story had for us to enjoy and fall in love with.
I loved the story so much I could go on about all the things I loved about it forever.I will also say that this author has now made it to my top favorite MC author for 2018 and I hope that she creates another MC series for us to love and perhaps a series that will continue with the children of the club members.
Some favorite quotes
“At three, Shiloh was the ultimate biker princess. From the top of her curly raven hair to her size two sh**kickers. There was never more of a daddy’s girl than my Shiloh.”
“Hey, Sweetness?” As I looked away from Shiloh and Darth, my gaze immediately found the steely gaze of the handsome father. “There ain’t no need to be looking at Darth.”“Yes, you were, and it’s not on. You belong to me, sweet Charlie.”
“So, are you my boyfriend, and I’m your girlfriend?” Even as I said the words, I felt like an idiot. “You’re my woman, Charlie, and I’m your man.
“Daddy, look, watch me burning effing rubber,” Shiloh called out as she did her best to get the plastic wheels to do a burnout. Fuc**** Darth.
“I like that you touch me all the time. Like you can’t go without touching me.”
Awesome read! Recommended read to All!
A personal note: This is a series that needs to be read in order and although the story does not end on a cliffhanger all the books are connected by one common tread and is a on going story all the way to the conclusion of the series.I personally read the series all at once and I am glad I did because the moment I finished one book I started onto the next.

Okay, this was a little tough for me to review! The writing & story are great – and I love the family aspect of the MC! The guys all are quite humorous with big … hearts. There’s also quite a bit of steamy goodness going on w/ Deck & Charlotte. ; )
However, the other guys are also… they all play into one of my biggest pet peeves in stories, and that is OW drama. Once there are feelings involved for someone w/in the story, there shouldn’t be any OW – ESPECIALLY when the guys then get bent out of shape about even the HINT that the woman in question might be w/ someone else. This is such a huge pet peeve for me, I’m not sure I’m going to read the rest of the series, even though I WANT to because I want to see how all the relationships work out. I’m just not sure I can handle seeing them w/ OW throughout all the other books.
Now, Deck is different in that there’s no OW issues w/in their relationship. He claims her & that’s IT for him – loved that! But he does have other issues that annoyed me a bit, even tho those issues were sort of explained.
Charlie is a sassy & sweet heroine who I enjoyed for the most part as well. I didn’t really understand her backstory, however. Her family somehow got the courts to make her pay them restitution for a fire in a building she had been left in a relative’s will? And they were well off whereas she was a teacher? I don’t get it. And it wasn’t really explained.
Overall, I say give this one a chance! Even w/ some of the issues I had, I really enjoyed the story & the mystery that is going to continue throughout the series was definitely intriguing! Which is why I want to read the rest of the series… LOL 🙂
3 1/2 out of 5 stars
This isn’t the typical motorcycle club book in that there wasn’t quite the horrors I’ve seen in other MC books. The group of bikers are all former military men fighting demons those who haven’t served will never really understand. Deck is an officer in the club and is raising his daughter, Shiloh, on his own after her mom died immediately after the baby was born.
Charlotte (or Charlie as she is more often referred to in the book) is Shiloh’s teacher and from the first time Deck sees her, he wants to make her his. She is battling her own demons, but the attraction isn’t one-sided and she takes a leap and falls for Deck, too.
The characters were written well and I did enjoy the plot of the book. There are moments in the book that were just a little over the top. There were moments I wasn’t in love with Charlie or Deck, but overall the book was okay and I’ll read more because the fact that the other members of the club intrigue me with their lack of commitment to the women they seem to love.
*** I voluntarily read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***
** spoiler alert ** Can’t believe this is the author’s first story. Loved this so much. Right after meeting the h, you’re going to think that the H is going to have sex with someone else, but please keep reading. Love a story where I smile most of the way through. I do think this is a cliffhanger ending, cause it’s not finished, but they are together at the end. Love how they are together and I always love when they are together all the way through. His ex died in child birth, but he didn’t love her. You can definitely read that the h is his true love. Great read, just not sure if I’ll be reading the next, depends on who it is.

OMG WHAT A BOOK…. TOTALLY LOVED IT.. This book has it all, laughs, insta love, tough bikers with a tender side (especially for one potty mouth preschooler), and lots emotion. The author has done an amazing job of taking the reader on a journey they won’t forget anytime soon. The storyline and the characters fit just perfectly together. I love that this is a biker book but not your everyday one. While the guys are as tough as they come, all of them being former soldiers, they aren’t about breaking the law but more about mending themselves and others. All of these former soldiers suffer from some sort of PTSD and their brotherhood keeps them going. (Don’t get me wrong, they can throw down when it’s needed).
This is Deck and Charlie’s story. These two fall hard from the moment they say hello. The journey the author takes you on with these two will melt your insides. Both have been through a lot of heartache and troubles but just maybe they have found something that they can hold on to for once. Or can they? I won’t spoil that and say more but trust me their story is a must read.
One thing I will say is Shiloh steals the show, at least she did for me. OMG what a perfect little character she is…. remember the mention above about a potty mouth preschooler – well meet Shiloh. She is all pink, girly (sugar and spice) except for her black shitkickers and her biker vocabulary. But then if you were raised from the day you were born by 10 alpha tough bikers that all are former soldiers, you’d probably grow up talking the same way. Trust me this little girl is 100 percent a showstopper and she had the entire club and her dance teacher (Charlie) wrapped around her little fingers.
I can’t recommend this wonderful book enough. LORDY if I could give it more that 5 stars I would in a heartbeat. 2 thumbs up for a great book 1 to the series and I look forward to reading about the rest of the gang, because trust me I just know this series is going to be outstanding.
WOW! I am so immensely impressed that this is Leah Sharelle’s first book because it was DA BOMB!!! Holy hades did she blow it out of the park. The characters were amazingly likable, the world she built was enthralling, and she pulled me into her story and wouldn’t let me go until it was finished.
Deck is so delicious it is redonkulous! He is a complete badass with a sweet side and vulnerability that made me fall in love. He loves his daughter more than anything and it shows constantly through the story. Not only that, he is completely and utterly besotted with Charlotte. She brings out feelings in him that he has some trouble handling but jumps on the relationship bandwagon and he is ALL IN!
And his daughter … FREAKING LOVED HER! Shiloh is the cutest little foulmouthed, combat boot wearing sweetheart. I laughed so many times with her my sides hurt. I have to admit that the men of the story were luscious, and I want more of them … but Shiloh stole my heart and I can’t wait to see what comes next out of her mouth.
And Charlotte. Lord love this girl. Her parents so need to get throat punched it is ridiculous! But her strength flows freely, even if she has moments of being self-conscious. But those moments make her so much more wonderful. She loves with her whole heart, but that heart has been bruised many times and trust is a big issue with her.
There story has ups and downs like all good love stories do, but there is also danger. Someone is gunning for the MC of former soldiers … and they are prepared to decimate that enemy. If they can figure out who the heck it is.
I cannot express just how much I enjoyed this story and how much I am looking forward to reading more out the men of the Wounded Souls MC and the women that bring these men to their knees. And I need more of Shiloh!! Leah Sharelle … you have firmly entrenched yourself on my autobuy list!
This is the first book by this author, but I’d not know it if I hadn’t looked it up before reading. This story was so amazing, I read it in one sitting! It is reminiscent of some of my favorite MC stories, but has its own spin.
Deck is a single father, former military, construction worker, as well as Sergeant at Arms for the Wounded Souls MC (so many tropes, all of them favorites!). Charlotte is his daughter’s preschool dance teacher, but also a former ballerina, with secrets! The instant attraction between the two set my heart beating fast! Such HOT chemistry! Whoo!
This story shows the soft side of a group of bikers, and introduces us to their world. It shows us that even bad bikers can be big teddy bears, given the right circumstances. There is lots of action, a few heart stopping moments, and promises of things to come (I’m hopeful for future books!). It’s exactly what I look for when I’m looking for a new author to love! This is a fabulous beginning for this author, and if this book is an example of what is to come, will quickly go on my one click list!
This story was great, I have never read something that had this much detail into every page. This story had love, lust, fight and anger. It’s so full of these different emotions you cant help but fall in love with the characters over and over. My first time reading anything from this author and I don’t want it to be my last, she’s got talent and a way with words that I haven’t read before. The story grew right before my eyes, I never laughed so much in my life along with the laughter I had the sad parts and the parts that made me super angry with Deck then the parts that I really loved him. Charlie is this amazing young woman who’s had a rough life and it just seems to follow her wherever she is, but towards the end you see this strong characters that has transformed right before your eyes and you can’t help but love her. By the end of the story I was craving more and wanting more, I couldn’t get enough of these guys at all. MUST READ MC story not like the others.
***I received this ARC in exchange for my thoughts, I was in no way told what to write or say, it’s all me myself and I***
The cover of this debut novel, by Leah Sharelle, is what caught my eye and had me one clicking this book instantly. The world of the Wounded Souls MC will draw you in and have you taking the ride with Deck and Charlie. These two have an instant pull towards each other that neither can deny. As secrets, danger and drama not only surround these two but the MC, you will be kept guessing as to who is putting the brothers and their family in danger. At times I did find the story a little drawn out but not enough to distract me. Deck and Charlie will frustrate you every now and again as a lack of communication causes them unnecessary dramas. The absolute winning character of His Sweetness has to be Shiloh, hands down this little girl steals the story and your heart. Bring on Book 2 because I need more of the Wounded Souls.
Deck Johnston life revolved around his little three year old Shiloh, she says some surprising things but you gotta love her. The second love of his life is his brothers and family in the Wounded Souls MC. Never did he know that meeting a beautiful Ballerina named Charlotte “Charlie” Jackson was going to change his life. Charlie is so sweet and she fell in love with Shiloh before even meeting Deck but when she met Deck she knew he was the man for her. I loved this story and at times it made me cry. There was so many scenes that left me breathless and a crying mess. This story is so up and down emotionally and that is a good thing. It just has so much depth. I loved all the men of the MC and how one little girl turned them upside down. I loved getting to know most of the women that are part of this family. There are twists in this story that left me guessing what was next. I loved Deck, Charlie and Shiloh they are the perfect little family. How this author deals with PTSD is great, I loved how she doesn’t sugarcoat it and make less of it. This is just the beginning but still a great start to this series and I can’t wait to find out what happens with Stella, Natalie and Booth next.
