Start with a pinch of paradise. Add a cup of sweet and witty banter. Then drizzle with chocolateWeddings are about three things: The bride, the dress, and the cake. I’ve never been the marrying kind. Far too much commitment in happily ever afters. Dresses? Not for me. Not as long as leggings and yoga pants exist. But cake? I’ve got cake covered. Nobody does cake like I do. I don’t origami, I … cake covered.
Nobody does cake like I do.
I don’t origami, I can’t change my own tires. But when it comes to cake? I’ll make a grown man cry. Cupcakes. Sponge Cakes. Angelfood. Devils Food. Anything in between. You show me a cake and I’ll make it my bitch.
This one wouldn’t be any different.

A sweet short story about Violet and Dean. She is the baker of the wedding cake, he is the best man, a famous actor and the one who paid for the destination wedding. He sets his eyes on her for the very first time and he is instantly hooked. This was a really sweet book with an over the top instant love and naturally, a happily ever after.

The holy trinity of a wedding – the bride, the dress and the cake
His Sweet Mistake Roxie Wilde turns out to be very sweet, fun and anything but a mistake. This is the story of Violet Bradshaw and Dean Regal. Violet has always wanted to be a baker ever since she first saw her first Ace of Cakes show when she was young. She has finally opened her own bakery, The Queen of Tarts, in her small seaside town and is gaining an excellent reputation for her designs. Dean is an actor who was a star on a hit TV show, The Filmore Boys, when he was younger. He has a reputation as a ladies man which he lives up to fully.
Violet’s largest break for her bakery is the St. James wedding which became a Tahitian destination wedding. The wedding couple still wanted her to be the baker and they invited her and her assistant to Tahiti with all expenses paid. Dean has been the best friend of James St. James, the groom, ever since they first met on the set of The Filmore Boys when James had been hired as a recurring extra with lines.
When the bitchy wedding planner knocks into the prep kitchen table that has the cake on it she causes more than a minor cake emergency. But Violet is sure she can save the cake and the the wedding by the time the reception starts in under three hours. When Dean walks through the prep kitchen he has a reaction to seeing the cake with a big gash, the size of the grand canyon, on one side. But Violet will not let him get to her and instead puts him in his place with a smile on her face. Let’s just say that Dean is intrigued by Violet. When she says that the cake emergency was caused by the wedding planner Dean strikes a deal – he will fire the wedding planner if Violet will take a walk on the beach with them after the reception. She falls into agreeing to it it and is not sure how to get out of the deal, or if she really wants to.
This is a really sweet and naughty story that has a wonderfully interesting story-line and great characters, both main and supporting. I really enjoyed reading this story and would definitely recommend it to others.

As a result he makes a deal if he far as the wedding planner and she fixes the cake she will go out on a date with him after the wedding reception. Somehow she excepts and not really realizing what she did. He is the wedding planner for the event in Tahiti where Violet is supposed to be creating her wedding cake masterpiece. This was a very fun book to read. Violet is a baker, a designer wedding cake baker. She’s a feisty, no holds barred woman, and utterly fun to read. Dean is a former teen heartthrob, a Hollywood Hunk transitioning into indie films. He’s the best man at his friend’s wedding. She’s the cake designer for the same wedding. He’s smitten as soon as he sees her. She’s annoyed as he keeps pointing out flaws (not caused by her) in her cake. Dean is quite cute in the way he goes about gaining her attention. He’s borderline annoying and inventive, always keeping Violet on her toes. For her part, Violet makes Dean work for it; she doesn’t simply fall into his arms because of his status. All in all, an utterly delightful book. Well worth reading.

Quick read. The author has given us characters that have an instant attraction. Violet is a wonderful baker that must make the cake for a society wedding. Dean, an actor, is the best man and sets his sights on Violet. Hopefully, a relationship in the cards for them.
