Terry is rich, attractive and all Dom. When he sees something he likes, or more accurately, something his d**k likes, he gets it. His women are hot, successful and experienced in BDSM. Until, he meets Maggie. She’s not at all his usual type. She’s round, lush and a hot-mess of a woman. It’s obvious she doesn’t belong at La Petite Mort Club and he can’t help following her. She needs someone to … at La Petite Mort Club and he can’t help following her. She needs someone to look out for her. She’s a little rabbit in a club full of predators.
When she gets herself into a situation, he has no choice but to rescue her.
When he realizes that she’s a natural submissive and innocent of the kinkier side of sex, he’ll stop at nothing to have. He can’t wait to show her how good it’ll feel when she surrenders to his desires.
Maggie had no idea that the club she was going to was a “sex” club. She tries not to look, but there are people doing it everywhere. She is not getting turned on by it. Not at all. Really, she isn’t. All she has to do, is find her friend and get out of there.
Of course, that’s easier said than done. Not only has she bumped into just about every person in the club, but one of the men—a very handsome and extremely rude stranger—not only follows her, but suggests that they “do it” in the hallway. As if she’d ever do something like that. She’s a recently divorced, mother of three, not some wild, young woman.
She tells him, in no uncertain terms, what she thinks of his suggestion but then, she finds herself in a dangerous situation.
Will the rude stranger save her, or will he turn out to be even more dangerous than the others?

This is quite obviously part of a long running series but this set can be read alone. The characters are well developed and believable. The world building is thorough and intriguing. The bdsm elements are hot and I can’t wait for part 2.
Terry And Maggie’s Story Brings Together Two Very Real Characters, Lonely In Their Own Ways, Who Both Need Rescuing.
Terry, in his mid forties, uses his brain by day. At the club, however, he follows a different body part. Tall, dark, and terribly handsome, he is very fit for his age and is a sharp dresser. But he is also rude and crass – though he might prefer to call it brutally honest. He hasn’t chased a woman in years; they come to him willingly. As a dominant, his control is famous. He may be arrogant, but he has earned that label.
Terry had been burned by his ex-wife years ago. After twelve years of marriage, Morgan had walked away with the house, his cars, his law firm, the kids, and some valued friendships. He knows from experience that lies abound in divorce. Today he is a hard-nosed divorce attorney and has reconstructed his life. He has a successful practice, has rebuilt his wealth, and vows never to marry again.
Terry may avoid commitment, but he has a healthy appetite for kink. After his divorce he became a member of La Petite Mort Club, a private club catering to those with similar interests and offering a safe place to meet up and indulge. Terry had practically lived at the club outside of office hours or courtroom appearances, but recently he has spent more time at home. He enjoys the company of his dog, but loneliness is beginning to settle in his life. He hopes to find a new sub to to train and enjoy, which should help to fill the void. His women are typically tall, athletic, and put together CEO types with experience. The kind that knows what they want and likes to be in charge. He loves the challenge.
Maggie, in her mid thirties, is lonely. After her divorce over a year ago, her life began to crumble. She works as a hostess at Outback to support her three kids, ages two through eight, but struggles to put food on the table. Her rusted car keeps breaking down so her job is in jeopardy. And she needs to move. She has always tried to do the right thing. She goes to church and had married her college sweetheart, yet she cannot seem to catch a break. And her self-esteem doesn’t help matters. She has yet to lose the baby weight from when little Davey was born. David, her ex, hadn’t wanted her anymore because she was fat, so she is keenly aware of how unattractive she has become.
Her pride is a powerful motivator, though. Combined with her stubbornness, she keeps going despite her many challenges. But if she were honest with herself, she would love to have a man in her life, someone to lean on and share her life with. She is in a bit of a romantic quandary, however. She isn’t in a position to have flings – not as a single mother. And she doesn’t have time for a relationship. When Vicky Givens, her ex-sister-in-law, reaches out to invite Maggie to an evening out, she is thrilled that her old friend wants to remain in her life and happy to have adult company for an evening.
When Terry runs into a wide-eyed, fearful, hot mess of a woman at the club during an open night event, in which guests are welcomed, he knows immediately that not only is it the woman’s first time at the club, but she is completely out of her element. Despite the fact that she is not his type – she is short and curvy and innocent-looking – he is drawn to the scared little rabbit, a natural submissive.
Maggie panicks when she realizes the kind of club her friend asked to meet her at. She frantically searches for Vicky to no avail, but just when she really needs help, a handsome stranger comes to her rescue. He tells her flat out that he wants her, making her blush, but as tempting as the opportunity to be with a man again is, she just cannot bring herself to say yes.
Terry and Maggie’s story brings together two very real characters, lonely in their own ways, who both need rescuing. This is the story of Terry’s seduction of Maggie. Terry’s crass comments and Maggie’s stubborn independence create an enticing tension, while Terry’s friends are heartily entertained by his jealousy and sudden change in taste, making him an easy target for their jests. He hadn’t ever been the jealous type, but unlike so many of his friends, Terry doesn’t like sharing – although an audience isn’t ruled out. Maggie is a very sympathetic character, and Terry deserves a second chance at love after so many years alone. It is easy to root for their HEA, but part one ends in a cliffhanger!
His Sub is the first of three parts in The Dom’s Submission. It is an easy read – short and sweet and sexy. The POV alternates between Terry and Maggie. It is written in the third person. The plot is light but sufficiently developed. The characters are nicely developed given the length, although it would be nice to know more about Maggie. The banter between Terry and Maggie is tense, but Terry’s relationship with his friends is so much fun – they are hilarious when they stir him up! I rate this book four stars.

Fantastic read! La Petite Mort Club is just the hot and sexy escape readers of high-heat need. And it’s FREE!
This is a book with very interesting character dynamics. We meet Maggie. Maggie seems terribly innocent, and a plum ripe for the picking. She is actually a jaded wife and mother- but untried when it comes to kinky sex!
We also meet Terry. He is a dom who works at a sex club. His confidence is overwhelmingly higher than Maggie’s. His life experience- in certain areas- seems a lot greater than hers too.
But does he have the sensitivity, sound principles, and sense of fairness to woo her in a way that is not abusive, and works out pleasurably for them both?
Yes. He does.
Does he have the softness, and the susceptibility, to fall in love with her?
I believe he does.
By the end of the book there is a lot of mileage to go. It is the beginning of a series, after all. I certainly look forward to seeing where these two characters will take me!
This was my first time reading a book by this author and I was very impressed. Now I have to go get the other books in this series because I want to know what happened next. Good read!!!
A captivating read from beginning to end! An exciting storyline that leaves you breathless wanting more! Sexy steam filled chemistry! Emotionally heartfelt, enjoyable and fun! One heck of a twisted, intense rollercoaster ride! An amazing must read!

fun read
I would have given this four stars had it not ended in a semi-cliffhanger. I hate that. I like series books that are connected but stand alone. I hate series books that are offered for free, leave you hanging, and then have the next book cost $3.99. That’ll make any romance reader a tad bit peeved. It’s a good book. Really is. Lots of great sexytimez. And, if you don’t mind paying for the next book, you’ll love it. Me? I won’t be buying the sequel.
This a well written story. I wasn’t crazy about the characters but they grew on me. This is a BDSM story so keep that in mind when buying this one. I didn’t realize this had a cliff hanger ending but I liked it enough that I bought part 2, to see how it ends. I will encourage you to at least give this one a chance, I did. Warning: This has a cliffhanger ending!!!!!
I absolutely love books that show the realistic and safe side of BDSM / Dom / Sub lifestyles. This book was hot for sure. This book is about an experienced dom and a “vanilla” single mom with no experience in the bdsm lifestyle. Relatable, easy to read, and a page turner!

In this first part of the series Maggie is tricked into attending a BDSM club and she meets Terry who takes an instant liking to her. Terry is by far more interested in Maggie than she is him. The author does a wonderful job describing the shock that Maggie has having no real idea what a BDSM club is all about. This is a wonderful introduction to the characters and the situation.
Fantastic
Both our leads are divorced, but both have different solutions. He is focused on no commitment pleasures, while she is all about commitments to others, namely her family. Is there a middle ground for these two?
This book is set in the La Petite Mort Club setting, but features a new couple on the start of their journey. No prior reading is required to enjoy this book.
This an erotic romance story with strong elements of BDSM, particularly D/S. As our heroine is new to the scene, we do get some of the usual BDSM 101 talk, but not too much. As the latest story in an ongoing setting, the world is well established and quite detailed. Our characters are also well developed with some depth to them that we get to explore as the story proceeds. I really liked their chemistry and exchanges in this story as they get to know each other. Our heroine may be a submissive, but as a single mother she has a backbone and does not just roll over at our hero’s first words.
Overall, I found the story to be very well written and pleasurable to read, drawing me in and keeping me turning pages. It made for a very pleasant weekend read.

I just loved the way both main characters eere introduced and how they develloped their relation, Terry always being carefull with the feelings of Maggie.
This is a trylogy that is part of an extented serie.
The good part is that the trylogy is already completed.

Ellis O. Day has delivered a powerful scenerio between a strong experienced Dom and a vanilla single mother of three. Relatable? Oh yeah. The storyline kept me glued to the pages with a plot that continues to expand in details the further I read. Terry, aka Sir, and Maggie, his little rabbit, will keep the tingles and butterflies active throughout their entire story. This book ends with a cliffhanger so be prepared to start book two immediately.
I love how the sub to be is older ( than 20) and has had a life previous to this. So I know it says part one in the title, but I guess I was hoping for more..

Such a lovely story. Maggie as stubborn as she can get and Terry a Dom by heart. A very good book.
This is the first part of a three part series. After reading this story, I am really looking forward to the rest!
I enjoyed reading this story because it does tell both points of views, includes some characters from other stories by Ellis O. Day, and helps a woman start to see her value from someone other than her douche ex-husband. I was cheering when he was able to do anything that would make her feel better about herself and when she wouldn’t let him get his way easily.
Terry is rich, been around the Dom block and is easily bored. During the Valentines Day celebration, he sees an innocent woman walking around and was curious about her. He talks to her a bit, but she isn’t interested in what he wants, but when he tries to warn her about where she is going, she won’t listen. He ends up saving her from a gang rape. He takes her to a safe place, reports what happened and found out that she was a guest and was trying to find her friend. It ended up being a bad prank by her ex-sister-in-law who was banned from the club. Terry keeps trying to get to know her, but his little rabbit keeps running.
Maggie hasn’t been with a man since her divorce, and really for quite some time before that. Her ex has moved on and is married. Maggie works two jobs to try to support her three kids and herself. She is driving a POS that is held together with rust and keeps getting fixed at a place that charges her and doesn’t even do a decent job. She knows that she is chunky, she hasn’t lost the baby weight since her last baby two years ago. Her husband really did a job on her self-image so she usually runs from any male attention. When her ex-sister-in-law/friend invited her to a Valentine Party, she was all for it. The first adult thing she has done for herself in years. When she gets to the party, she finds out it is a sex club and is trying to find her friend to get out of there, but she only gets into more trouble. When she realizes that it was a mean prank on her, that she could have really gotten in big trouble, it hurts because she thought she was still her friend. When this great looking guy starts talking to her, she gets flustered and dashes off. When he saves her, she gets even more flustered but now she feels she owes him. She sends a container of cookies to him, at the club of course. He keeps trying to get with her and help her, but she doesn’t want to accept charity and she doesn’t have time between her jobs and kids to have a relationship and she was never a one-night-stand type of girl.

A great start to a new series.
I really should have done a review on each of the parts before reading them all I am going to try to stay in each part when reviewing. The first part is when they meet Maggie is a divorced mother of 3 Terry is our Dom a divorced man who is looking for fun, not a relationship. The attraction is there from the start. There are really interesting parts so enjoy. The ending was not exactly like Terry wanted.
oved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Maggie not knowing what the place really is gets into a little bit of trouble. Terry is a true dom, he spotted he usually goes for a different type, experienced, model type women, but there is something that attracts him to Maggie and could not stop looking at her.
Thank you for allowing me to review this book it was great.
