Meghan Mallory has a plan for her life and it does not involve falling in love. She doesn’t have the time nor the inclination. She’s too busy trying to save the world. But when a freak snowstorm puts her in the path of a man she has secretly been fascinated with for years, she is forced to reconsider her stance on dating. Spencer is rude and obnoxious with his bad boy swagger but then he rescues … rescues her when she gets stranded on the side of the road, like a knight in tarnished armor, and sweeps her away to his house to ride out the blizzard.
Spencer Collins likes his life just fine, thank you very much. As the owner of the lifestyle club Cuffs & Spurs in Jackson Hole, he has a bevy of available subs who are his to command – not that any of them have held his interest in longer than he can remember. When his best friend’s sister-in-law gets herself into trouble, Spencer heads out to rescue the little brat who is in need of a firm hand. But he never expects to be forced to confront the incendiary heat that has always existed between them.
As the storm rages around them, they surrender to a passion hotter than the sun. Now that he has felt her surrender, Spencer attempts to lure Meghan into his world. But will they let go of their pasts or will they allow secrets to destroy them?
Publisher’s Note: This steamy contemporary romance contains elements of power exchange. While it is part of the bestselling Cuffs & Spurs series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone.

I thought it was so interesting that Spencer seemed to be much angrier in this book than in any of the previous books. Maybe because he was trying so hard not to want Meghan.
Spencer and Meghan spent a lot of time verbally sparring, and fought their attraction until they were forced together. They spent so much time trying to hide their relationship, and there was a significant lack of trust going on.
It was pointless of them to try and hide it because it seemed like everyone either knew or had their suspicions. I was also a little surprised at how they resolved the issue that caused Spencer to behave like he did in the club.
This was not one of my favorites in the series. I couldn’t get into Meghan’s character, and it seemed to me like Spencer’s character was different from what I had come to expect..
This was a smexy romance book! Meghan and Spencer had great chemistry from the moment they met. She’s trying to save the world, and he just wants to bring her to heel under his command. The dialogue was good, loved their banter, and they steamed up the pages!
We’ve been watching the sparks fly between this pair for nearly as long as the series has been going. I was so completely looking forward to seeing how this would play out. I seem to have a slightly different opinion from a lot of the other reviews I’ve seen for this book, though. I “got” Spencer. The emotionally scarred military alpha is familiar to me. I knew where he was coming from. And I understood what sent him over the edge in the end. Spencer just made sense to me. Meghan’s the one that confused the heck out of me. This brilliant scientific mind is absolutely paranoid that these non-scientific fears are going to come to pass? I had too much trouble wrapping my head around it. The two of them are incendiary together. There is so much passion between them that it radiates from the book’s pages. I particularly loved that the ending shows both of them realizing that they made mistakes. And the epilogue is really quite sweet.

She has no time for love of men as she has a goal and nothing is going to get in her way. He is an owner of a club and he is a dom but he has no long term sub. He is annoyed when he is sent to had I her when her car breaks down. Could this be the start both of them need? See if it will

Ive read all the books in the Dungeon Fantasy Club and The Pleasure Island Collection and unfortunately this is my first book in the Cuffe and Spurs collection, while most of the characters had past issues and overcame them with the help and love of their partners, I found the story of Spencer and Meghan most emotional of all.
Spencer a Dom and the owner of a BDSM club has loved Meghan from the moment he met her and back chatted him. Meghan has a crush on Spencer but the workaholic and science graduate will not let anything stand in her way from getting her PHD.
When the two are snowed in together all the sexual tension and attraction between the two is unleashed that opens up to emotionally charged situations that are filled with misunderstandings, jealousy and uncertainty that will have you engrossed in the book until the very end.

The two main characters are in need of some healing in their own ways but have been able to avoid dealing with their issues and each other for a long time. Then a storm hits, and they are then forced to spend time together. There are elements of BDSM in this story, but this is a very passionate romance between the two characters as they learn to heal and trust. The author does a great job with character development as well as taking the reader through the plot in an interesting manner. A nice read.

This was a great story with compelling characters and compelling story line. I cannot rate this highly enough. I have read other book is the series and they are all great reads. This book does have BDSM elements with deep emotional aspects. I like the honesty of the characters and how Spencer was prepared to make changes so that Megan could complete her studies.

Another great book from Anya Summers. This entry into the Cuffs and Spurs series does not disappoint. Anya writes very believable characters and situations. Maggie has never even considered herself as a submissive – she is a strong independent women which makes for great conflict within a DBSM world. She does not fit your perceived image of a submissive. Spencer is your typical “me man – I know everything” type of male that you would guess at a glance would be a Dom (even if at times he doesnt deserve the title because of his behavior).I wont give away details and the sex scenes/power exchange scenes are well written and accurate to the lifestyle and the romance just sweeps you off your feet. I heartily recommend reading this series!!!

I really liked sweet, loving and tenacious, Meghan, but couldn’t believe her bipolar hang-up. Being a woman of science she of all people would’ve known the difference between being bipolar and just getting lost in your thoughts to the point of forgetfulness. I really didn’t like Spencer! He was insensitive, arrogant and rude, and should’ve had his Dom-card taken away throughout most of this story. I was excited to read this book and had it read within 2 days but dragged my feet reviewing it because I was so disappointed. Read my full review on Amazon- RatherBReading.

Meghan lives in Jackson Hole working at the institute. She is also a brainiac. Spencer owns a restaurant and BDSM club. Every time they see each other there is verbal sparring as they don’t like each other at all. Loved this couple and the path of their love.
Here we have another story from this author in this series, the Cuffs and Spurs series. I read before the whole box xet of Pleasure Island and some of the characters there are also to be found in this series, amongst other their club… But somehow this story and I don´t really click together. Believe me, there was nothing wrong with this story – it is just me. It was quite fun to read this story and it had some twists and turns and one of the leading characters had some deep rooted issues to work through. Those were handled quite well by the author. But still – I can´t put a finger on it, but feel I can only give out three stars this time. But this story very likely deserves at least four – but this is how I feel and I have to go by that, otherwise my review ratings would not be honest!

Book 7 in the Cuffs & Spurs series and it features Spencer and Meghan. For me this was the book I least enjoyed out of the series. I seem to be in the minority, since everyone seems to love the book.
I just didn’t feel the connection between the Spencer and Meghan. The other books made me care for the characters and made laugh, but I struggled to finish this book. I didn’t hold my interest.
Spencer and Meghan meet in her sister and his best friends kitchen two years ago. Ever since they are constantly picking at each other.
When he rescues her from the blizzard that blows in they spend time together, alone with no one around. What a difference it makes. Neither expected that the isolation would bring their attraction to the forefront and what happens next.
Spencer and Meghan are in for so much more than they bargained for.

I have read all the books in this series and I think I love this one best of all. Spencer has lost so much of himself, because of the war and the things he was required to do, that he does not feel worthy of love. When he meets Meghan he falls in love but keeps his distance because of the darkness within himself. As they bicker at each other, Meghan comes to realize that she has strong feelings for him and after getting stranded in a snowstorm and rescued by Spencer, she decides to seduce him to see if there could be anything between them. There is a HEA but not before a misunderstanding on both of their parts almost destroys them. This is a wonderful book, full of erotic encounters between Spencer and Meghan and the coming together of two souls with each learning to rely on the other person. This is a fantastic read and I would highly recommend this book and the others in this series.
WONDERFULLY HOT!
A dominating read that will leave you breathless and push you to the edge infusing a whirlwind of emotions and page turning twists that you need to devour in one sitting. A wonderfully written steamy read that sucks you in from the start and dominates every nerve ending holding you captive until every word has been read!
Wow, I truly love this book! Meghan is a scientist on her way to get her PhD. Spenser and Meghan have wanted one another for two years. Their relationship evolves rapidly during a snow storm.

This is a kindle melting erotic read. It also touches on mental illness and PTSD in a sensitive way although I did find Meghan a tad annoying with her indecision. My heart broke for both characters when they had their misunderstanding but rest assured, they get their HEA.

I have patiently waited for Spencer’s story. He has always intrigued me and I always felt he was a wounded soul that just needed to find his light. Find his light he did, in Meghan. Meghan is Jenna’s sister and has been fighting her own demons for a long time. These two met twos years prior and the sparks have flown in the form of snark and barbs. All it took was a blizzard and 24 hours alone for them to collide in some very steamy hot moments. Spencer wants an arrangement but Meghan wants a relationship. They both think there is no hope and that the other does not feel what they are feeling, but really aren’t they wanting the same thing just using different words. Communication and the belief in the fact that they deserve love is the driving theme in story that touches on some scary fears and realities. I thought this story was great and I loved that love did win and two people were forever healed because they chose to embrace love. Great addition to the series. I love Jackson Hole and all of the people that live there. I can’t wait for more.

His Secret Love is the seventh book in the Cuffs and Spurs series, and while you see familiar faces, the romance can be read as a stand alone. Spencer and Meghan have always had a difficult relationship, but when a snow storm leaves them trapped under the same roof, sparks fly. When the snow lets up, there are some real emotions between these two, but can they work out their own insecurities to find something lasting?
Oh my goodness, this book grabbed my heart, broke it, and put the pieces all back together again! Spencer and Meghan have had my attention since the first book in this series, so I loved that at the beginning, their attraction was hidden beneath all of their caustic banter. They both had some major issues that they needed to work out, but when they were intimate together, everything was perfect. Spencer was so afraid of the darkness inside of himself, but I loved that he was caring, protective, and wanted desperately to claim Meghan. Both independent but willing to compromise, Meghan was an amazing character, giving so much of herself over to Spencer’s needs and desires, fulfilling her own, but she had a few fears of her own. Together, they were explosive! Never a dull moment with these two, their chemistry is amazing, their drama will draw you in, and honestly, I totally teared up while reading scenes in this book! This series has been amazing and I loved finally getting Spencer and Meghan’s romance!
