I am a fairly new reader for this author. I enjoyed this emotional read about Brett and Leslie. Leslie is a flight attendant and Brett’s family owns a hotel. They met as kids but then lost touch after her family moved away from his some years ago. Now, they are in each other’s space and it feels as if they are picking right back off where they left off in many ways. A few ups and downs make for an interesting read.

Cupid doesn’t always look for people of the same outlook or same upbringing to make them fall in love. Sometimes they can be as different as can be…but passion still runs hot.

** spoiler alert ** Pretty good read. My only big issue (and no I didn’t deduct for it) is the H shares a name with my Brother!! That took a bit to wipe from my mind! 😉
I did enjoy Brett and Leslie. He did do right in the beginning and it was nice to see them find each other later on in life.
A few things caught me as odd.
I’m not sure why he asked her if she was a virgin when they first started making out. That seemed to come from out of nowhere. Did he ask every woman he was making out with? If not, why just her?
His Mom kept saying she couldn’t leave as she had nowhere to go and nothing to live for. Why didn’t she stay with Ronnie and Ellen for a bit until she got on her feet? If she was all excited to have kids and wanted more, why wasn’t she excited and spoiling her granddaughter??
How did Leslie get such an amazing job in only 6 months? Yes, she was portrayed as an interior designer prodigy, but wouldn’t most want a degree behind their designer? What year did she drop out of college? Was she able to get her degree that quickly while working?
What was her Fathe’s new business? Was it ever mentioned? Why didn’t Brett step in and help “behind the scenes” so to speak?
I would love to see a story about Ronnie and his daughter. They both deserve a HEA also!

An enjoyable well written second chance romance. This engaging storyline drew me in from the first chapter keeping me on edge till the last page turned. The characters are interesting, relatable, and both struggle with inadequacy not sure if they want to go all in with a relationship. I loved the instant attraction and sexy hot chemistry even after ni e tears of being apart. There is drama, push and pull keeping me engaged in the amazing romance that I have voluntarily read and reviewed.
Absolutely fantastic! A well written emotionally deep romance. The storyline is flawless, funny, witty, enjoyable, and very interesting. The story flows smoothly and moves along at a brisk pace with a few ups and downs and a mix of emotions on every page. The chemistry between them is intense and their love scenes are beautifully written and HOT!

This was a great book for the most part. There was some parts that I started getting annoyed with mainly leslie and how she was acting but all in all a great book and would definitely recommend

This was a fantastic, romantic second chance romance. Leslie and Brett were neighbors each with a secret crush on the other that unfortunately never became more due to financial problems with Leslie’s parents that resulted in moving away. Now years later the pair are reunited on a plane bound for London and this time Brett with fight tooth and nail for the love of the girl he never forgot, a woman who has stolen his heart. His Second Chance is filled with so much emotion, fear, humorous wit, romance, second chances, passion, and love. Readers will fall in love with these wonderful characters and won’t want to put it down. A must read, readers will enjoy. I loved this book and can’t wait to read about the two other Jackson brothers.

What happens when you unexpectedly meet “the girl” again years later, you know, the one who stole your heart but then disappeared without a trace? For Brett, he decides that life has gifted him with a Second Chance and he vows not to let Leslie slip away again. Leslie is shocked when she finds out that her childhood crush, Brett is on the London flight she is working. I liked this book but there were several “bumps” in the story that I felt could have been left out such as when, out of the blue he asks her if she is a Virgin. His plan is to hire her as his Interior Designer to decorate the house he is planning to purchase in London. Being an Interior Designer was her dream but she ended up dropping out of college prior to completing her degree. That was another “bump” in the story as I would assume that she needed that degree to be able to work as an Interior Designer. All that being said, I still liked this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a “Second Chance Romance” or loves books by Kelli Walker as I do.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
Brett has never forgotten his neighbor. She has been on his mind since the day her family packed up and disappeared. And now years later she is his air stewardess on the plane that is taking him to the UK where he plans to start a new life.
He has loved her since she was 16 but he was 21 and the time wasnt right…..but now is the time….. and he is going to do anything to get his second chance at love……

Stubborn (Curses!) rediscovers stubborn (Cheers!)
His Second Chance by Kelli Walker is a lovely, frustrating and rewarding second chance romance with plenty of steam and lots of heart.
Leslie and Brett, upon their re-entry to one another’s lives, seemed destined to be despite the negative self-talk and stubbornness that abounds. Leslie’s stubbornness is frustrating and stems from the past which devastated her family. Brett is also stubborn, but in a much more positive way, despite his negative self-talk. These two together create sparks that cannot be denied. I absolutely loved how Brett offers Leslie the world – everything she could ever want and then thrilled when he refuses to give up on their love and future.
This second chance romance plot was interesting and focused on healing past hurts that built walls, then allowing love to break the walls down and heal.
Overall, a wonderful second chance romance with great characters that get a perfect HEA.
