I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought. The way the story was weaved, it sucked me in. I felt for Molly and for Callum. They both had the weight of the world on their shoulders in different ways, but they gave each other what they needed. They challenged each other and supported each other even when the other person didn’t think they needed it. They were opposites but alike in so many ways. They were explosive and passionate. I couldn’t put this down. Even if I had to get up and do something, I carried my Kindle with me so I could continue reading. At the end I was left with a big smile on my face.
Too much vulgarity for my tast.
This is a book of mistaken identity for both characters. Molly is assumed to be the portrait painter when she is found in area not allowed by the tour sketching a painting. Callum feels he is mistaken for the Duke of Roxburghe what should have been his brother’s title. There is an instant attraction between the two of them. Molly is on the last holiday before signing on to corporate life to support her father, the Duke is getting his portrait painted as his mother wished. The confines of their life make their coming together like fireworks. It’s both of theirs last chance for something undefined. It was a great read and I loved this book.
I enjoyed it. The ending was a predictable but it was interesting how they got there.
HIS ROYAL HOTNESS is a standalone read with a HEA> This story has a young American woman touring the galleries and museums in Europe. This is her last chance to see the works of the great master’s. Her father is in need of her help and support, so after this trip she will be tied to that experience. While in Scotland and touring a castle she spots an original painting just beyond the velvet rope. She looks both ways and then steps over. Just as she is ready to get back on the right side of the rope she is grabbed and with no explanation her captor hustles her to the other side of the castle. The side where visitors are not allowed.
She is mistaken for a young American artist that is to paint the portrait of the new Duke of Roxburghe. This is a fun romp through the castle and other parts as these two very different souls come together to find a HEA. It is funny, and very, very, sexy. These two are very sexual souls willing to try all sorts of things and have no problems sharing with the other what they like best. So be prepared if that is a problem for you. Also the language is quite colorful as well.
It is a fun read and to me not your usual “royalty” story. Of course there are issues in their past that they need to move on from. He has a mother that he would do well to banish to another kingdom but that ends well also.
I definitely recommend the story. It is fun, serious, quirky and sexy.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 2/22/19
Enjoyed it but would have liked more
I loved this book and wanted more. A fantastic read between an aspiring artist from America and a Scottish Duke.
Molly Lane, an artist, on an adventure across Europe. While at a Scottish castle she trespasses to get a closer look at an original William McTaggart painting. She is caught and mistaken for Priscilla Rose, artist who is commissioned to paint the newly appointed Duke, Callum Phillip MacGreggor Harding’s official portrait. She is stunned by his rigid handsome good looks. He sees her as scruffy yet beautiful with blond curly hair and big blue eyes. This isn’t what you would expect from a renowned artist. The chemistry between the two is undeniable. While painting Cullum’s portrait Molly sees in his eyes that there’s more to him. She is relentless to break down his stuffy reserve. Is Molly able to break through his defenses? Little did she know they would heal each other. It’s a steamy love story with lots of hot sex. I recommend this book.
If you like your romances really hot, then this is the book for you. Much too much steamy and pretty explicit sex for me. I did enjoy the characters of the Scottish duke and the American painter.
If I could give a 0 star I would. Author used a very limited vocabulary where the “F” word was constantly used. It was a story based on lust and sex. Don’t waste your time. Even free was too much to pay. Do not recommend
