The Prince of Wales shocks the world when he reveals his secret romance in the conclusion to Lilah Pace’s male/male duology following His Royal Secret… James, Prince of Wales, is making history. He’s decided to come out to his subjects—and the world. However, telling the truth means exposing his relationship with lone-wolf reporter Benjamin Dahan. When the news story explodes across the globe, Ben can endure the mockery and dirty jokes. But after his tragic past is cruelly revealed, his life begins to implode. Can even his love for James be worth this?
James has it no easier. His revelation divides the country and sparks turmoil within the royal family. He must struggle to defend not only himself and Ben, but also his younger sister, who hovers on the brink of a breakdown that could endanger her life.

Again a M/M romance which isn’t the usual for me, but it was enjoyable. Knowing how the British press are with the monarchy, it was very believable when it gets out that the Prince is gay and his lover a common man. How life is turned upside down and the fairy tale becomes bitter. The book does have a NEA, but it was a bit nail biting as to if would turn out that way!
I was sooooo eager to read this part two after James and Ben’s story ended on a cliffhanger of sorts in part one. I completely fell in love with these characters and their British royal family romance with lots of secrets and a M/M romance that was finally going to see the light of day. If book one is all about Ben and James falling in love and James deciding to come out despite the consequences to his role as next in line to the British throne, book two is all about the fallout in the media and the royal family as they actually make the announcement. Great pacing. Lots of juicy drama, which Lilah Pace writes wonderfully.
In this book, where Ben and James were solidly a couple, trying to work out their next steps while in the eye of the public and the UK tabloids, it was nice to see their relationship progress to a more complex level, as well as see familiar characters like Indigo, Roberto, and the corgis (I do love books with adorable dogs.) Of course, there were bound to be problems with the paparazzi and seeing how the drama unfolds as these two struggle to create their HEA makes for a delicious read.
This was book 2 in the “His Royal Secret” series. This book picks up where book 1 leaves off James the Prince of Wales is coming out and his boyfriend Ben has agree to come out with him. This was a really good book that had me up all night reading it. Ben is having a hard time adjusting to a life in the spotlight and although he loves James he is not sure if he can live his live this way. I really felt bad for his sister Indigo she suffered for so long without help for fear of people finding out about her problem and when someone else is taken from her she is ready to stop living the was she is living. James and ben learn to lean on each other and to be truthful with one another. James was willing to give up his shot at the crown in order to have love in his life he saw what the spot life did to his mother and he was unwilling to put Ben through it. I really liked his assistant Kimberley she was one of those people who would do anything to protect James and Ben. I also liked that Cass and Ben became friends I felt that she took a lot of crap being James beard for 10 years. It was fun reading this book when a royal wedding has just taken place and I am glad that Indigo got her happy ending and James and Ben got theirs. This was a really good book with no errors in grammar or spelling
