Her Navy ManThere’s only smooth sailing for Mia Winthrop in the commanding arms of her husband. Even his strict discipline for mutiny can’t stem the tides. Not when he works pain and pleasure like a wheel and rudder to master her heart. But in England that might not be enough to sustain her in the rough waters of British society and the sharks trolling there. His Pirate WifeDevin Winthrop returned … there.
His Pirate Wife
Devin Winthrop returned home a hero because of his wife. But as the past rises up to swamp them, he must keep the pirate in her below board. What it takes to hold the helm as others take shots broadside at his wife, his marriage, and his career, may be more than any ship’s captain can endure. When the cannon goes silent and the smoke clears, only one ship can remain.
Sink or Swim
Mia and Devin will do all they can to not let the life they have sink. But as the waters darken and churn they must use everything they know about keeping the bow up, the ballasts level and the sails full, or they won’t only lose the battle, they’ll lose each other.
Publisher’s Note: This historical romance includes steamy scenes of domestic discipline and explicit encounters.

OUT OF THE SEA COMES LIFE
I will be honest, I don’t want this series to end, and my understanding is this is the last book. I really would love more on Devin and Mia. I love their chemistry, her feistiness, and his dominance. After reading The Pirate’s Daughter, I was so in love with the story and characters, and knowing that early December I would have the second book. Now, I’m sad because it has ended.
The story will give new meanings to nautical terms with all the double entendre. There is an amazing cast of characters that all play a part, and you need to batten down the hatches as you ride the ocean on this journey of love, hate, desire, and revenge.
Devin and Mia are returning to England, where he will be hailed a Naval Hero, and Mia has apprehension about living in England and on land. She was born on the water and sailing the seas is where she is most comfortable. Devin will be teaching future naval officers and Mia will be heading up Wind and Pearl Shipping and Freight.
The plot will have them entering the docks, and before long, Mia is missing and so is a little boy. Not carrying about her own safety, she will go into the water to rescue a young lad, nearly drowning as the tide is coming in. This will set this tale into motion as Mia has saved a child with noble lineage, but in the process, she will gain friends in high places.
I laughed out loud at the antics of Mia, and how she isn’t afraid to boldly make statements, oft times, at the embarrassment of those around her.
“Aye, only my husband puts me in chains and ties me up with ropes.”
Trouble is in the works by some who think their family breeding gives them rights, and Mia plays her cards close to her chest, but when she lays out her hand, she does it in grand fashion and flare. She will make enemies, and she will make friends. Her character and mannerisms only add to her charm. Devin is at times at a loss as how to deal with her and her antics. It is mixed with emotions of pride and fear.
“He knew Mia and he were as opposite as east and west. But without each other, the day couldn’t be complete.”
Life in England will come with facing ghost to her mother’s past. Ones the Commodore has done his best to protect her from. But with facing certain demons, she will also be able to put them behind her and accept that the man she calls Papa has always loved her and had her best interest at heart.
“They’ve no bearing at all on who you are. That man’s blood in your veins only by chance. But he’s not your blood; your blood is the salt water of the seas. And he’s not your kin. You kin is your crew, your captain, and your Commodore. Do you understand me?”
The story will have many intense moments, including those of life and death. There will be plenty of ups and down with Devin and Mia, and she is so used to being the Captain of her own ship, that to become the first mate is trying. While Devin tries to rein her in, he understands how the Commodore allowed her to get away with so many things. She isn’t meek and mild, but bold and daring.
“You gave me a wicked little pirate, and she’s plundered my whole world, stolen everything I had, heart, soul, sanity—all of it.”
The story has many explicit sex scenes between Devin and Mia. He will make her tell him exactly what she wants, and for her, that is a true challenge. The story also includes some BDSM scenes of bondage and many different spanking scenes.
I would love to encourage Ms. Marie Hall to consider another story in this series. I really want more of Devin and Ma into the future.
