A delightful story about two people who needed each other but just did not know it until they met and spent time together!
Constantine was not a lady use to negotiating the social niceties. She had been living with her father quietly and when she did go into society, it seemed she made one blunder after another. Outspoken and clumsy, she became known as Lady Disaster.
Seth, Lord Guilliver was a known rake. He had no love from his family growing up so he never expected finding it. But when he and Constantine meet at a house party the sparks ignite!
This was a delightful story seeing these two come together and make their journey (yes spicy journey) to a wonderful ending!
This is the second book in A Rogue’s Kiss series. Although I have not read the first book in the series, I had no trouble following the story or plot, so it can definitely be read as a standalone. The characters were great – the witty banter between Constantine and Seth kept me turning the pages and smiling all the way through. Constantine is a bit feisty and full of spunk, and that is just what Seth needs. He is captivated by her. They had such great chemistry – I loved following their journey to their HEA. This is a sweet story with a little bit of spice and humor mixed in, and it surely kept me reading wanting to find out how things end. A very enjoyable and entertaining read, for sure!

HIS PERFECT HELLION is the second book in the A Rogue’s Kiss series. I have no doubt that each book in the series will stand on its own, since I was not missing anything in not having read the first.
I loved the chemistry between the rake and the klutz. Lady Constantine is known among her peers as Lady Disaster. She is definitely not graceful, demure, or filtered. Instead she is blunt, forthright, and a bit clumsy. Even more than Constantine, I love Seth. He may have been a rake, but he has fallen hard.
The banter between the two kept me moving forward and reading long into the night. These two needed to be together and I wasn’t putting the book down until they were.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Book two of the A Rogue’s Kiss series a well written story with a great storyline. This is Marquess Gulliver, Seth Mowbray and Lady Constantine Hartley’s story of two people that are meant to be together. I enjoyed seeing their story develop. I hope there is going to be more to come in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
These two belong together.
What a pair these two made both Constantine and Seth are fish out of water and oh the trouble markers these characters are. I loved the banter between the characters the author made this such a fun book to read. High emotion and just a bit naughty you will be completely entertained with this piece. I highly recommend it. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Regency romance with great characters, romance and intrigue. She had lots her mother at 7 and she lived in the country with her father since that time. Now she was in her second season with her aunt as her sponsor. She had never had the etiquette classes that the other ladies had and did not know all the rules, so she made no and was called Lady Disaster. At a houseparty, she met a Lord and they fell for each other, but she would not marry him and bring him down. The ending was great. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy from Booksprout.

I felt for Lady Constantine aka Lady Disaster, who couldn’t do anything right in the eyes of the ton and who kept making one mistake after another. Seth, Lord Gulliver was a rake, who hadn’t met the lady who intrigued him enough to want to settle down. From their first meeting when she’s using the wrong spoon and was unapologetic about it, he was enchanted. This was a steamy Regency romance with plenty of funny and sweet moments.
A whirlwind romance plagued by the h’s insecurities. I liked the h’s character. She was down-to-earth, witty, fun loving, unconventional hoyden. The H was a rogue but he was not as colored as his reputation reported. Both were lacking in receiving parental love. The h lost her mother very young and the H’s parents showed him no affection nor love. So, he missed out on that as she missed out on a mother’s love. They had a wonderful time each time they crossed paths. Both had always believed that they did not want to marry. That delightfully changed the more time they spent together. A very sweet story. Quick but satisfying. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Lady Constantine grew up in the country where her father took her after the death of her mother and now she does not fit in with the London society. Seth, Marquess Gulliver, sets eyes on her and wants her but as much as she is attracted to him and loves sharing kisses with him she will not marry him because she knows she does not fit in but she offers to be his mistress. Can Seth convince her that he loves her and does not care that she is a country girl? Loved this sweet romance with a little heat.
This was a nice short quick read. It was a true love story between a rogue and a miss who doesn’t want to adhere to societies rules. A love at first sight story. The characters were well written and related to each other well together. There was some sex in this book and this reviewer skipped it as usual and it didn’t affect my enjoyment of this book.
I was captivated by the story that Amanda Mariel has given us about Constantine and Seth! This was one of her spicier stories and I have to admit that I do like a love story with a little extra kick to it at times. There was hardly any drama involved to the story other than the fact that Constantine was not well versed in how to navigate society with all of its rules and strictures that she was ill-equipped to handle having been raised without a mother or governess to guide her after her mother passed away when Constantine was a mere seven years old. Her father preferred to have them live quietly on their country estate far away from London and the ton which suited Constantine just fine. Therefore she became known as Lady Disaster once she entered London society due to her numerous blunders and embarrassing incidents. She meets Seth, Lord Gulliver, at a house party and their respective worlds tilt! He is a well-established rake who has always scoffed at the idea of love, mostly because he had been neglected by his parents virtually all of his life until they passed away and the concept was something he just could not comprehend. Then he meets Constantine and he now begins to understand what all the fuss is about! As a couple, the two of them clicked immediately and I loved the banter between them! Constantine has such spunk and she has no problem blurting out whatever she is thinking and then remembering afterward that doing that is frowned upon by the members of society. This tendency totally fascinates Seth and he soon realizes that he has found the one woman that he would gladly give up his rakehell behavior and reputation for!
If you are looking for a clean, chaste kissing only storyline, then this is not the book for you. There are a couple of spicy scenes prior to and one consummation after marriage depiction but they are not as racy as can be found in other historical romances by any means. I had no problem with that because attraction does have a tendency to be acted on, no matter what time period you are living in!
The only thing I felt was missing was an epilogue. I would have really liked to get a glimpse into their life a year or so down the road to see how they had adjusted to their new normal. Especially Seth, since I felt he would have had to make more changes to his lifestyle than Constantine did. Other than that I had no complaints at all and absolutely loved it!!

An engaging book whilst it is the second in the series it could easily be read on its own, characters from the first book do make appearances. I really liked Constantine who was anything but the perfect debutante but she was endearing. Seth was the rake who fell hard & fast. Together they complimented each other & their attraction sizzled. I read this book in a sitting, happily passing away a few hours
My thanks to Booksprout for the copy which I chose to read & review
