His package ended up inside my box. Calm down, perv. My mailbox. As soon as I saw what was inside,I knew two things:It belonged to my hot neighbor, and he had a dirty secret. Normally, I was more of a cat person. As in, if I had to choose who lives, I’m going to take the cat nine times out of ten. It’s not that I particularly like cats, I just don’t particularly like most people. My neighbor … particularly like most people.
My neighbor wasn’t most people. He lived in the apartment across the hall, and he was your typical, buttoned-up, fancy shoes, smells like a Calvin Klein commercial, looks like he actually flosses kind of guy. I mean, seriously? Wasn’t flossing just made up by dentists so they could go on their little power trips once every six months?
The point was, this guy very obviously had his life all put together. He was Mr. Perfect, and If you asked me, he needed to be brought down a few pegs to wallow with the rest of us.
Cue his long, thick, package penetrating my tight little mailbox.
I know. It’s absolutely sick. It was such an obvious ploy to hit on me. Forget the fact that the mail lady put it there, my neighbor and I both knew what kind of game he was playing. Oh yeah, we totally knew. It was on. It was in, if you would.
I accidentally dropped a knife on the package a few times back in my apartment. It basically sprang open on its own, and I had no choice but to look inside.
His dirty little secret was staring me right in the face. As it turned out, Mr. Perfect wasn’t so perfect. Who knew?
Hint: I knew. And I was absolutely going to enjoy every second of what was coming.

From the first paragraph I had a smile on my face having read the previous books in this series I knew I was in good hands, but being able to laugh straight away was a good feeling. Lilith is hilarious the girl is dark and twisted i love her humour, William as ever is the life and soul of the party so this book is a laugh a minute. Liam finally starts to realise there’s more to life than money and work with his new found appreciation for the sarcastic little girl in toe. With his step sister causing mayhem at every turn it makes for an interesting read.
OM*G!! I loved this book. I need the ability to give more stars!! It was funny, sarcastic, romantic, sexy & just sooo much!! This was the first book I’d read in this series and you better believe I’ll be going back to devour the others if this one is any indication of what I can look forward to.
Lilith has a dark, sarcastic look on life. Her past helped to make her this way but it looks like a package switch with her hunky neighbor could change Lilith’s outlook if she lets it.
Liam (Bob) is the hunky neighbor across the hall. He isn’t easily affected by Lilith’s cold, sarcastic comments, actually finding them & her piquing his interest. But Liam has a secret that could mess up everything.
Great story. I don’t think I’ve laughed out loud this much in awhile. I would read excerpts to my husband so he understood & didn’t think I was crazy. I loved the dialogue & banter of Liam & Lilith as well as the other characters. Lilith was fantastic. Someone I would love to meet in real life.
Highly recommend as a MUST read.
Good romantic comedy
I loved the main female characters of this story: they are bitter, sour, comical or hateful, but it is what kept my attention and often make comic scenes (you have to add the character of William met in “His Cherry”, who is still funny and unpredictable)
Lilith is a secretary in a big company. She’s bitter, and hates everyone, without knowing them. She hates her new neighbor Liam, because he’s too perfect … until the day the postman swaps their packages. Then, even if Lilith didn’t want it, they meet.Their attraction is growing rapidly, but she discovers that he has not told her his real name and for good cause because he flees his sister-in-law who wants to sleep with him. She spreads rumors to discredit him and that way, she wants that no other woman approaches him.
Situations are sometimes hilarious between Lilith’s denial of recognizing that people can be good and not all deserve bad karma, and Liam half-sister’s madness.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is an amazing, humorous romance guaranteed to catch a reader’s attention & firmly keep it until the last page is turn. The plot is excellent with some intriguing incidents. The characters are well-developed & highly entertaining with their quirky antics.
There is: a rather cynical woman (Lilith), a irritating across the hall Mr. Perfect (Liam), a devious step-sister (Celia), an eccentric boss (William), humor, snarkiness, sarcasm, family issues, cynicism, anticipation, frustration, verbal banter, resistance, skepticism, challenges, manipulations, payback, surprises, happiness, love & some steam.
I really would recommend this wonderful romance written by a very talented author, to people who enjoy reading this genre. I doubt you would be disappointed in this book.
Another fantastic book for the series. I love seeing old friends in this story because William and his antics just make me laugh. It is great to see more about Lilith’s life and get to know her more. This whole series of books is just amazingly written, incredible story lines, outstanding characters that just flow together so easy and smooth. The story will have you laughing at times and draw you in almost all other times. It is definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
She protects herself with sarcasm, He is on the run from someone who will not take no for an answer. They live in the same apartment building, across the hall from one another, and they pass each other routinely, but it isn’t until a mix up of packages in their mailboxes to get these two in the match of a lifetime.
They tease and banter with one another, all while becoming more attracted and drawn to one another every day. Things are tense at first. But with time, patience and understanding, these two have a lot in common.
Unfortunately there is a specific person that will cause Liam and Lillith to have more in common, but not in a good way. However, plans do not always go as planned, and the attempt to harm seems to have backfired. So much so another thing they will have in common is to make sure this specific person gets the just reward they deserve….and they accomplish this together.
Many friends and relatives appear in this book from the other books, and there is a lot that happens, some fun, some corny, some that make you as angry as Liam and/or Lillith, but all of which lead to a wonderful happy ending with a little surprise in there too.
It takes one to know one
Penelope Bloom has put forth her best effort yet in book 4 of her Objects of Affection series: His Package is the hilarious and sexy tale of Lilith – the super-grouch grinch of the series, whose latest mail order sex toy gets misdelivered to her weird but hunky neighbor’s mailbox Of course, HIS mail is switched with hers, so his package ends up in her box… And with that delicious double entendre, Bloom launches a screwball comedy of gut-busting proportions. Lilith’s curmudgeonly persona is a facade, and like all facades it hides something – and who would know better than “Bob” the hunky neighbor or with a facade of his own? The hilarity and slapstick of this book doesn’t disguise the truth beneath; and the slow-burn seduction of Lilith mirrors a growing love and mutual understanding that neither she nor her neighbor can ignore. Fabulously funny and heart-warming! His Package belongs on your holiday feel-good reads list.
