Summer is working as a cocktail waitress to earn money for college. She meets businessman Harrison and the sparks fly. A short, sexy read.
I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am leaving a review.
This is a quick and steamy novella.
Summer is a waitress at the LBD and she is saving up to go to college for art. She is very shy and just wants to make some quick cash and get out of there. Flirting isn’t her thing.
Harrison is in Las Vegas on business and had to bring his brother along. One he doesn’t get alone with. His brother forces them to have a drink right when they get there and he sees Summer for the first time. He is drawn to her in a way he can’t describe. He loves her shyness.
Harrison and Summer. What a romantic story to read. Really enjoyed the cute story about Harrison and Summer. Really look forward to more from this author.
His Manhattan
The Cocktail Girls
By: Tracy Lorraine
Narrated by: Guy Veryzer
This series is full of quick, steamy listens and Tracy Lorraine comes through with some Vegas heat! Harrison comes to Vegas with his brother for a business trip. He has no intention of taking in the sights, until Summer, a waitress comes into his view. There is immediate chemistry, but Summer has plans and Harrison isn’t looking for a relationship. But what these two don’t realize is sometimes the luck of the roll is on their side! Harrison is a little stuffy, but with Summer, he is able to let go and really come to life. Summer has her future planned and while Harrison is handsome, does he fit into her goals? This quick, steamy listen is all that and more. Narration by Guy Veryzer will take you to their world. Though he sounds a little older than I expect for this story, he gives a good British accent to Harrison and I really enjoyed his voice for Summer.

I enjoyed this story, it was cute, but I didn’t get the full impact that I was expecting after reading the blurb. The main heroine doesn’t come off as a strong artist type who is trying to save money for school, yes it’s mentioned, but it feels like it’s not a main part of the story, she just feels like a lost young soul who has lost direction in her life. These characters fall fast and hard for each other, and its an okay storyline. Cute, with small steamy scenes, that was a good read.
A shy woman with dreams & a plan. A sexy, all business man with a British accent. If that’s not the makings for an HEA I don’t know what is. Loved Summer & Harrison’s story. The sexual tension, once released was off the charts. I’m still fanning myself.
These novellas are quick reads yet a complete story with an HEA. I like that I can read them in one quick sitting, still get the romantic flutters and still be a functioning member of society.
His Manhattan is a short sexy read that had me hooked from the start. Love Harrison and Summer. This book shows you that even when you are not looking for love sometimes love finds you. This was my first book by Tracy Lorraine and I am definitely going to be looking for more.
Wow!! Tracy does it again, she blew me away with this short fun read. I was so in love with this book from the beginning. I was sad when it came to a end. I loved that Tracy makes these characters feel so realistic. This story sucks you in and doesn’t let you go. I had the worse book hangover after read this. I mean come on who doesn’t love a British accent? Harrison had me swooning more then once. Summer is working as a cocktail waitress in New York, Harrison is in New York on business. When Summer catches Harrisons eyes, he can’t stop thinking about her. Wanna know what happens after they have breakfast together? Wanna know if these two make it work with the distance? Then go get this book now!!! This is a must read
I love a good romance especially the love at first sight. I agree with Tracy Lorraine that Summer and Harrison have more to give and I hope Tracy will find it in her heart to weave her magic and let their story continue in another book.
Summer works at the Little Black Dress Cocktail Lounge in the Millennium Hotel in Las Vegas hoping to save enough money to attend an Art School.
Harrison is an antique dealer from London, England in Vegas on business with his younger brother Zack. When Harrison gets a chance to see some of Summer’s sketches and even a couple of paintings she has done, he attempts to convince her she doesn’t need art school but does need to be painting and selling them.
Summer and Harrison have an immediate sizzling electricity that is undeniable but both are afraid the other doesn’t feel the same.
Harrison is called back to London without a chance to say goodbye to Summer or to explain but he has Zack bring her a note with a plane ticket to London.
Does Summer fly to London and if she doesn’t will Harrison let her go without fighting for her? Grab yourself a copy of this little novella and find out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
A very straight-laced British gentleman meets a young, impressionable female in a Las Vegas bar … hmmm … how will this go down. Instant connection … like an electrical charge. The main male and female characters certainly escalate their attraction to seeing very sensual scenes. Alas, this tale does have a happy ever after. Sigh … viva la romance!
I received an advance review copy of this short story via Booksprout and I am leaving an honest review.
Even though this is a short read, I really enjoyed it. I love Harrison. He was so romantic and sweet. I liked him and Summer together. I only wish this ended a little differently. It left it wide open for more to the couple and their happy ending. But still a good book.
Tracy has done it again, she has knocked it out of the park with this short and sexy read.
She has delivered a captivating read with a great storyline and interesting characters. The chemistry between Summer and Harrison is scorching hot and a great example of instalove.
Harrison is a hot British antiques dealer who is in Vegas for business. He meets Summer at a bar where she is working as a cocktail waitress. Soon as she hears his British accent she is hooked and despite neither looking for a relationship neither can walk away. The pull between them is intense.
I honestly could have read a full length novel of these two.
Harrison and Summer
It may seem unlikely but their is truth to instant attraction . It may be the physical appearance, a glance or a word but when Harrison and Summer meet something is there. Summer has just relocated to Vegas in pursuit of financial stability . Harrison is in town on business from London and has the not so delight of having his spoiled brother on the trip. This is a fast paced , boy meets girl, woos her and then distance and business prevail but their is always a chance . Loved Harrison and Summer !

Summer, an aspiring artist, is working at the Las Vegas cocktail club Little Black Dress to save money for art school. She is shy and sweet and can’t manage to be aggressively flirty just to get bigger tips. Harrison is in town on business with the unfortunate tag along, his younger brother Zach. Zach forces him to go get a drink in the hotel club and that is where he discovers Summer. Summer has never felt such attraction to a guy before but doesn’t really want to start something that would end in more loneliness. Harrison has never wanted to get close to another woman but he just cannot resist Summer. This couldn’t possibly end well, could it?
I read His Manhattan in the space of an hour, so it definitely falls into the short and sweet category. I enjoyed the characters of Harrison, the British antiques dealer and the cocktail waitress/artist Summer. Their attraction is so adorable that you can’t help but root for them. I was cruising along enjoying the culmination of this cute romance when the ending pulled me up short and left me hanging a bit. I don’t know if that was an intentional part of the this series, the Cocktail Girls, but I would have liked a bit more of a conclusion. All in all, I liked the characters and the premise of His Manhattan and will be seeking out more of the Cocktail Girls and Tracey Lorraine.
Who doesn’t want to be whisked away by a man who has money and an accent? Well when the charming man with the bedroom eyes literally knocked her off her feet, she had no idea what she was in for. This sweet steamy insta-love read is short but that doesn’t stop this author from pouring her all into it.
Great story from this author who always writes characters that you want to know more about. And I hope she really does give us more about this couple at a later date.
