I thought the closest I’d ever come to having my teenage obsession in bed was lying under his poster…Instead of serving cocktails in a karaoke joint, this broke little barmaid is finally moving up in the world.I’ve just been cast in a movie starring my celebrity crush Derek Prince. The man who was only ever a fantasy is suddenly a very real, off-limits temptation. And I’m drawing his gaze while … temptation.
And I’m drawing his gaze while shaking my sequined-covered butt for the cameras.
And for him.
But Derek’s jealous costar is intent on having him onscreen and off.
To get this shot at my dream, I promised to be her secret voice double.
I also promised her that I’d stay away from Derek.
He’s everything I’ve ever wanted, but she has me by the literal—and legal—throat.
Only Derek’s a certified quadruple threat of his own.
He can sing, dance, act, and charm the panties off me without breaking a sweat.
Handsome. Knockout sexy. And relentless in his pursuit of what he wants.
After always wanting to be part of his world, he wants to be a part of mine.
But lies, secrets, and blackmail are everywhere around us.
How can we get to happy ever after when all of Hollywood is hell-bent on keeping us apart?
‘His Little Barmaid’ is a sweet and sexy romcom featuring a cocky movie star hero and a stubborn, sassy heroine on a crazy road to happily ever after. It stands alone with no cheating, cliffhangers, or nonsense.

I read an advanced copy for an honest review.
Ariel, the barmaid, dreams of being a star while working at her Uncle Sebastian’s karaoke bar.
After singing for the crowd, Ursula the witch (with a “B”), a famous hollywood movie star wants Ariel’s voice. Not literally (like Disney), but for Ariel to record and Ursula to Lipsync in the musical she is starring in. She promises Ariel money and a role as a dancer, so she can get some SAG credit. It’s their secret.
That same night, Ariel meets a Prince. Derek Prince to be exact. He’s just jumped into her moving car to escape a mob of women harassing him. Ariel has always had a crush on him and Dereck is intriged by this beautiful, interesting woman.
The story then becomes a rollercoaster ride of romance, blackmail and pressure from Ariel’s parents. Can Ariel and Dereck survive everything that is thrown at them? Is the pressure cooker of Hollywood going to beat Ariel down?
In a great Hollywood ending that is reminiscent of the classic movie “Singing in the Rain”, all questions are answered and the storyline is settled in a satisfacty manor that will have you sighing.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
This is a good modern retelling of the beloved Little Mermaid story, I enjoyed the storyline, plenty of drama. I really liked Derek and Ariel, both sweet and likable characters.
Well-written story in the Princes of Hollywood series, can be read as a standalone story, no cliffhangers
