His Imperfect Mistake
Small Town Romance, Book 2
By: LC Taylor
Narrated by: Logan McAllister
LC Taylor is a master at the novella, each one packing it’s own punch. Hank is working on the ranch, and is taken with the live-in vet. But he has baggage that just won’t allow him to love. Meghan has come to the ranch and settled in, she too feeling the chemistry between them. One night is all it takes for Hank and Meghan. Now running from his truth, and unable to face the future, Hank has to come to terms with his imperfect mistake. This may be short, but the story is full! The characters are great and the setting is just my speed. Growing up on a farm, it was reminiscent for me as Meghan took care of the animals. I love a book that takes me through the feels, and this one had me excited and passion filled, frustrated and thrilled. It’s a fun, quick listen! Narrated by Logan McAllister, he brings it all to life.

This was a well written book with engaging characters that were flawed but made a go at living life after the heartbreak. The chemistry between them is undeniable and hot. The flow of the storyline was great.
I received a free copy for my honest and voluntary review.
Hank moved to start over, he becamea manager on a ranch.
Meghan is the youngest veterinarian around but was good at her job.
When Hank decided to makea place for Meghan on the ranch, tentions grew and tempers flared heads butted and not the goats.
There is an attraction there but Hank made a mistake when he was in the military and thinks love is not for him.
Things start picking up and well the attraction gets hot and steamy.
But Hank doesn’t want a relationship so Meghan loves him in secret.
When she realized she was pregnant she didn’t tell him because she was protecting him, from what happened in the marines and the last person who kept a pregnancy from him I see bad things coming her way.
When Meghan is rushed to the hospital those bad things reveal themselves and when Hank hears the nurse talk about the baby he immediately makes assumptions and puts Meghan in the same category as Callie his last mistake and the reason he was discharged from the marines.
When Hank received a letter from his commanding officer to come back well things get complicated from there because he goes leaving the ranch Meghan and his son behind.
David takes his place managing the ranch and wants Meghan to pregnancy and all.
Hank hooks up with some random woman in a bar, i literally cried when he did that because Meghan made it clear she was in love with the baby’s father and wasn’t going to change her mind.
But then Callie showed up at the ranch looking for Hank and all heck broke loose. Through it all David was there waiting for his chance.
When Meghan went into labor David was there neither one knew Hank came home to claim his family.
Bow Hank has his family under his roof but has kept his distance from Meghan and her six weeks check up went well and she is able to be intimate again. So she dawns a naughty outfit how do you think Hank will respond? Does he finally make love to her or does she pack her son up and see if David still wants her.
Megan is the vet at a farm that Hank is the Farm Manager and Parker is the owner, Hank was hurt really bad by a woman who lied to him and ruined his career in the Marines. He’s not doing too well at healing. He and Megan were a great couple. You could feel their emotions and going through their pain was heartbreaking. I loved the story and what direction it took. I enjoyed this story very much. Look forward to more from this author.
Hank has been a marine for a long time until a romance with the wrong woman ruined his career. Hank learned that Callie was still married and to a General too. He knew once he told his commanding officer that his career would suffer, but he had no idea that it would be ripped from him. Hank is offered the position as farm manager by one of his ex marine buddies and Hank accepts it.
Meghan is a vet who is called on to help with a dying horse on the farm where Hank works. She is offered the job full time and falls in love with Hank. Only thing is Hank is still bitter about his past relationship and thinks it is better if he is just alone because loving him would be a mistake. The chemistry between Hank and Meghan is strong, he holds her off until one day they can no longer deny the attraction.
Weeks later Meghan finds out she is pregnant and Hank is the father. She decides that she will keep it a secret. There unfolds the story and drama of denial and a betrayal of trust. Read this story of a love in denial and fall in love with the characters as they bungle their way to a final happy ending.
