I’m house sitting for a male who had me impregnated in a med lab.Bergelmir, my secret crush. That rich, scary devil outbid everyone at the virtual auction and got himself to the top of the list (pissing off a lot of other Hyrrokin) and, gulp, I’m his surrogate. And…now I’m carrying Bergelmir’s baby. But I have my head on straight about this. I’m doing this so my friend can be a father. Because … father. Because that’s all we are—friends.
But I have a shameful secret I’ve told no one: I wish this baby was mine. And I love that fire-breathing Hyrrokin with all of my heart.
If only he felt the same way.
Author’s Note: This story is more enjoyable if read directly after the first book in the series, His Human Nanny.
Warning: This is also a secret baby, epistolary, stalker alien hero, Billionaire, curvy girl romance with epic hero grovel – while remaining both cute & adorable. Hope you enjoy!

I don’t even know where to start. Berg and Chloe are wonderful together. I absolutely loved how completely convoluted the path to their happily ever after was, while also being pretty free from emotional angst. Berg’s complete obsessive devotion to Chloe was marvelous. And Chloe is just too sweet not to love. This was a fun and engaging story, with a cast of wonderfully well rounded characters, and wonderful pacing. I dearly hope we get more of Grandma Narvi in future books because she was a hoot!
This was a really cute book. I loved the chemistry and feelings between Chloe and Berg but they both tried to somewhat hide their feelings. These to were great together; even though they were “apart” for most of book. Lies were big in this book but Berg was willing to do anything for his female and to keep her. I really loved Chloe and how strong she was through this book. I would recommend this book.

Chloe and Bergelmir have a unique love story. Circumstances and politics keep them apart, and their relationship happens via text communication. They each think the other only wants friendship, but both of them fell in love when they first met. It’s really a beautiful story.
This is better if you read it immediately after His Human Nanny, but it can also be read as a standalone. Either way, it’s thoroughly enjoyable.

Well, the amazing Michele Mills has done it again! Big, grumpy, fierce, and secretive Bergelmir will make you fall in love with him, his inner thoughts showing the truth of his actions. And Chloe, she is exactly as you’d imagine from her appearance in the previous book – sweet, sincere, a bit lacking in self confidence, loving, and more adventurous than she believes. I loved this tale!!!! Bergelmir plots to have his way, determined to have Chloe as his bound, and everything quickly spirals out of control. Chloe is left to (supposedly) fend for herself, alone and pregnant on a world that is making it more and more difficult for humans. Secret missions, corrupt governments, hidden feelings, a kinda secret baby, machinations backfiring, all of these serve to make this story highly entertaining. Fun and sexy and sweet, I cannot wait for the next in this series! Happy Reading!!!

I really struggle with romance books where one or both of the MCs lies/keep secrets. I could feel the love Berg had for Chloe but I had a really hard time with everything he kept from her. I understand why he did it but that only made it slightly easier for me to handle. Forcing motherhood on someone is a really hard pill for me to swallow even if it turned out to be what Chloe wanted. I just wish that had been discussed ahead of time even though I understand why it wasn’t given the context of the book. I don’t want to come across like I didn’t like this book, I really loved watching Berg and Chloe fall in love. That enjoyment just got overshadowed by the lies and secrets. I was in the edge of my seat for this book after devouring His Human Nanny and I think I was just conflicted by the less than honorable ways that Berg behaved at times even though I really do understand the circumstances.
