Paal rescues Leti from Jujo where she was used as a Sex Pet and the sparks fly. Leti does what she was trained for and tries to seduce Paal with sex but he is having none of that. Paal is infuriated each time Leti attempts to initiate sex like she was conditioned to do, it’s all she’s known for most of her life, but Paal has experienced his own mother going from man to man to advance her own position and sees Leti as trying to use sex with him as a ploy. This causes conflict with Paal and firm corrections in the form of spankings by him. Leti doesn’t know how to deal with a man that resists her seductions but also shows her that a good spanking is a turn on for her. Meanwhile, the fight to get their planet back has the Zandians looking for the right time to make their move. The relationship between Leti and Paal is heating up as Paal is torn about Leti, he can’t see any man putting their hands on her yet he doesn’t want a manipulative human to ruin his life either. We see many of the previous book’s couples that come together as they prepare for the battle to reclaim their planet and it all just works!
I hope we get to see more of the Zandians and their human mates as they rebuild their planet and start over with completely new lives on their decimated land.
This action packed, sexy story of the Zandians exile and battle for their lives is great!!! I also see potential for more, as the Zandians have no more fertile females and there is a need for brides to help repopulate their world.
This story will break your heart, hold you captive, and keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish!
SPOILER ALERT: THIS IS BOOK 8 IN THE ZANDIAN MASTERS SERIES. IF YOU HAVEN’T READ BOOKS 1 THROUGH 7 IN THIS SERIES, THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS.
Ripped from your mother at six-years-old? Trained as a sex slave? Traded from owner to owner as you perform each master’s most depraved wishes? That’s Leti’s life. Resigned to her fate, out of nowhere, her best friend, Mina, barges into her life again. But it’s Paal, a Zandian warrior, who rescues her. Or does he? Paal’s captivated by Leti. His reaction to her takes him to a place he’s never known. What’s this spell she’s cast that spins him to a place of such deep, dark, terrifyingly visceral reactions? When Mina asks Paal to be Leti’s guardian, he accepts. What? Paal’s never needed a female, especially not a human sex pet! He’s not sure what’s going on here. Even though the little slave fascinates him, he knows she’s wily, well-trained in the arts of seduction. He absolutely doesn’t trust her. And Leti? The last thing she wants is another sex-addled master. She trusts Paal about as far as she can throw him, even if Zandians don’t believe in slavery. Despite all this, Paal and Leti are pulled into a mutual gravitational orbit. What can these two possibly have in common? Maybe more than either realizes. But neither trusts the other. Without that, where can anything go? When Prince Zander decides it’s time for the final offensive, Paal’s torn. Being left behind to guard the females and children vie with his need to join his fellow warriors. Events soon spiral out of control when Leti discovers both a miracle and disaster simultaneously. Paal’s involved in both yet he doesn’t believe a word Leti says. To make matters worse, Paal finds himself cast in the role of the Zandians’ last hope, a mission that’s sheer suicide. As he realizes he may have made the biggest mistake of all, what can he do? His duty is clear. He has no choice. And neither does Leti. Can these two survive the destruction surrounding them? If not, what comes next? One thing is certain. Paal and Leti hold the keys to the future of both the Zandian and human races in their hands. Can they dig deep enough to find the strength to put their pasts behind them? Is it possible to find the truth? If not, everything, everyone will be lost!
This story captured me from the first page. Leti’s surface persona as a sex slave has served her well, saved her from certain ruin. It’s all she knows. But is it real? Paal’s completely self-sufficient. He needs no one, certainly not a sex slave. But the evolution of these two shows just how fantastic a writer Renee Rose is. She’s crafted these two so perfectly. Their anger, misunderstandings, and antagonistic attitudes make you wonder just where the story’s going. As they begin to find common ground, hope rises. But Ms. Rose spins twists and turns into a true roller coaster of emotions and uncertainty as Paal and Leti find the ground shifting under them in cataclysmic ways that will keep you guessing to the last word. While Paal and Leti are the heart and soul of this story, Prince Zander, Lamira, Mina, Erick, Bayla, Dr. Daneth, and the other Zandians and humans are the glue that hold the story together. Without them, there would be no story. Renee Rose has the ability to weave these characters, their diverse backgrounds, and utterly impossible circumstances into a tapestry of incredible depth and complexity. His Human Possession deserves nothing less than a five-star rating. Congratulations, Ms. Rose. This story is another winner!
One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers’ websites. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the authors. They work extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to the book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
This is one great series and this story is quite entertaining. Paal rescues Leti a human from sex slavery and is responsible for her. When he can’t keep his hands off of her, there is drama and insecurities they both have to overcome. A war and little surprise brings their HEA. I enjoyed their heat and love toward each other. I am voluntarily leaving my review of this ARC.
I’ve finally read the genus story! I’ve read some of the Zandian books before, out of order, but reading this one really pulled a lot of things together for me! I love these aliens and repurposed human stories! I mean sometimes the possessive males feel robotic and unemotional, but when they come around, the juice is large scale, sweet, and not at the same time. I’m going to go ahead and get Riya’s story now! Happy reading!
I really enjoyed reading this book and the whole series. Can’t wait for more such books from Renee Rose
This one made me cry and laugh durning the story. Also made cheer for all of the Zandians as they battled to take back their home. I have fallen in love listening to these stories and reading them as each Warrior gets to find his mate and as their stories progress.
**I received this Audiobook through the author and decided to volunteerly review this amazing book**
Another male manages to find the one female that’s perfect for him. Of course the main plot is going on in the background and we have finally reached the war stage. Our heroine plays almost as big a role as our hero in the outcome.
A fitting continuation of the Zandian tale. Paal is wonderfully strong yet still gentle in his confusion as to what is acceptable and right as opposed to what he and Leti needs. He is driven by his past experience yet overcomes this to claim his love…to take what he needs and desires….an enjoyable read
Whilst the other two Zandian books I’ve read could be read as stand alone, I do think this would be better read after His Human Pet. This is mainly because there is quite a bit of side story in this, linked to the Zandian home planet.
Leti drew me in from the start. In some ways she comes across as manipulative, but only because it has been how she has survived life as a sex slave. Once you get to know her you get to really care about her. Unfortunately Leti’s survival instincts trigger Paal’s ‘avoid’ instincts, a result of his mother’s predatory behaviour. This leads to hurt on both sides and some silly decisions. I liked both main characters and they share some very hot and intense chemistry. There is lots of spanking and plenty of fun but also a well written and engaging plot with some good twists and unexpected happenings.
I’m really looking forward to Riya’s story.
While some of the other books in this series can be read as stand alones or even out of order, this one is really best if read right after Zandian Pet. We briefly met Leti in the last book and now this story starts off immediately with her rescue from captivity. However, Leti is unsure whether she is just trading one prison for another when she meets Paal. And Paal isn’t sure he can trust any woman, let alone one that is used to manipulating men through seduction. This is not only the story of Paal and Leti, it is also the story that we have all been waiting for as Prince Zander gives the order to go into battle to reclaim Zandia. In other words, there is plenty of action both in and out of the bedroom! While this is the last book in the Zandian Masters series, it looks as though we will see more of the Zandians in a future spin-off series. I hope we don’t have to wait too long!
I loved “His Human Possession” for so many reasons. First and foremost, Paal and Leti are amazing together and you will instantly want them to succeed. Second, much of what is going on with the war comes to an absolute head and it was so fun seeing all the other characters from the Zandian series popping in and out. Did I mention how amazing Paal and Leti are? Their chemistry is off the chart good and you will need a fan nearby when you read this story or you too might combust with all the hotness taking place.
If you’ve been on the fence with this series, hop on over now. You won’t be disappointed.
The day is here. In the coming days it will be decided who wins the war. Will the Zandians get their planet back.
In the face if war two people meet. Paal is attracted at Leti from the moment he lays his eyes on her, but are her reactions real or is she playing him? Tension and miscommunications follow.
When emotions run rampant, passion flairs. It creates a lot of sexual tension. Will that be enough?
This book has a lot of action and melted my ereader
Renee Rose has brought us the conclusion of her Zandian series. I hope it’s just the conclusion of one part of the series and we get to move into another phase of it, now that things have changed. I think that there is the chance of so many more good stories.
Anyway, so we’re back soon after Taramina was rescued and taken home. She and her mate have been acting as ambassadors for Prince Zander. One of their trips takes them to Jujo, where Leti is currently enslaved. She served as a pet with Mina before their master died, and she was sold to the Emperor of Jujo. But, that’s OK, Mina, her mate, and another Zandian are there, and she’s going to be rescued.
Paal’s job is to rescue Leti and get her to the ship. That way the ambassadorial hands are clean. As soon as he sees Leti he’s entranced. However, he’s bound and determined to not be ensnared by any woman. He saw his mother go from man to man, and he’s not going to be played as a chump, especially by a pleasure girl who has been trained to seduce men. But as soon as they get into private, he can’t help himself, and he has to spank her and they have sex.
Leti knows that she has to keep this huge horned purple warrior on her side. He’s now in charge of her, and she knows that as a human, she’s at danger in the whole universe. So, she goes about using all her training so that she can give him pleasure and keep him happy. The problem is that he doesn’t want that and every time she tries, he gets mad. It’s hard for her to figure out what he wants.
Meanwhile, the overarching story arc that’s spanned the entire series is playing out as well. There is action, fighting, explosions, raids, and acts of daring-do. So, pretty much a little bit of everything, and oh so very exciting.
Paal kind of needed smacked around sometimes. He doesn’t always stop to think about what Leti might be feeling or what her motivations would be. I do like him though. He’s a very Zandian Zandian, and is generally a good man. I really enjoyed this book and the series altogether. I’m going to have to reread the whole thing back to back now, just because I can.
