Paranormal Dragonshifter Romance
Dragon Lords 5: His Highness The Duke
The would-be heroine…
Aeron wants nothing more than to continue to live out her very long, solitary life in a small metal room listening to communications for the Federation Military. It’s not glamorous. It’s not even charming. But it’s safe. There’s no chance of getting hurt.
When she intercepts a communication about the … intercepts a communication about the impeding genocide of the Qurilixian people, she has no choice but to act. No one at the Federation seems inclined to do anything about the threat and suddenly it’s up to her to save a whole planet. Enlisting the help of her degenerate sister, Aeron finds herself signed up as a prospective bride to the very barbarians she’s trying to save.
The man who did not need saved…
High Duke of Draig, Lord Bron, is not looking forward to his seventh failed attempt at a marriage ceremony, but when he sees the lovely Aeron he knows instantly his years of waiting have finally paid off. The gods have blessed him with a life mate… or have they? His new bride is insistent she’s not there for marriage, but for a mission. It’s up to Bron to convince her to stay, or risk spending the rest of his life alone.
ABOUT THE SERIES (Books 5-8):
The Noblemen brothers aren’t new to the sacred Qurilixian bridal ceremony. After several failed attempts at finding a bride, it’s hard to get excited about yet another festival. No matter how honorable they try to live, it would seem fate thinks them unworthy of such happiness–that is until now.
With very few words spoken and the shortest, most bizarre courtship in history, they will bond to their women forever. And once bonded, these men don’t let go.

Bron is the eldest son and nephew to the King. As part of the Draig series, his requirement is to seek his mate at the Breeding Festival. Aeron is a Federation analyst seeking to save the Draig from genocide and enlists the help of her sister Riona. Only things don’t go as Aeron expects. A really good story suited to the temperament of the characters. Not as flamboyant as the other books I’ve read in this series but a nice change. I have enjoyed this series and did purchased a copy.

The great plot was professionally written, and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!
Michelle Pillow’s His Highness The Duke: A Qurilixen World Novel (Dragon Lords Book 5) is an exciting series.
While the story was a good read I was disappointed that the ending seemed rushed and left so many unanswered questions. I’ve always enjoyed the authors writing and perhaps this time the issue is with me and not so much with her. I do look forward to reading more of her stories.
Thank you Ms. Pillow for many enjoyable reads.
I love this series I’m glad that we are meeting the princes’ cousins and learning more about the Qurilixen world, the author has a way of describing their world that makes it easy to picture. This book held my interest from start to finish and kept me turning the paged of my Kindle. The characters are well-drawn and interesting, he’s a powerful dragon shifter and she’s the woman who captures his heart. The book left me with some unanswered questions which I hope will be answered in the next book.
Bron and Aeron have an engrossing story. It has mystery, suspense, intrigue, and romance. Characters are well flesh out and are very interesting to read about. This is a story that held my attention.
I love this series by Ms. Pillow, the Qurilixen World Series. This book had my interest from start to finish, I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed the interplay between the main characters, a strong woman and the man/dragon who loves her. This book leaves you with some unanswered questions, and I am looking forward to picking up the next book in the series. It’s on to the next one for me!

If fantasy was real life it would not be as enticing as we imagine, but losing yourself in this book is close enough to fulfil your fantasies. Packed with romance and the fight to reach the HEA, this book will tick all your wants. Superb characters and a brilliantly addictive storyline gives the romantic and the imaginative a fantastically entertaining story.

I am in love with this series! Miss Pillow brings the heart stopping intrigue and a kindness that make you swoon for her characters! She envelops you in this world and refuses to let go! Her stories are escapes to a world that is full of mystery and satisfaction is only one benefit from entering and indulging! For Bron I believe he was instantaneously struck with Aeron! For her well she would need convincing and oh would Bron so enjoy that part! A great addition to this world!

It’s Bron’s seventh breeding ceremony, and he’s given up hope of finding his destined mate. Aeron doesn’t intend to get caught up in the Qurilixan bridal ceremony – she has a warning to pass on to those in charge. Fate has other plans…
I adore this new direction that the Dragon Lords series is taking. This is a great series to start with, but after four heroines going through the same basic events at some point in their stories, having Aeron and Bron’s story take such different directions – with nods to the characters and situations introduced in the first books – was a delightful, refreshing change. Readers get to explore new areas of the planet, meet new characters – or those previously only hinted at! – and are introduced to a whole new round of complications for the Qurilixan people. I really enjoy Pillow’s characters, so getting to know Aeron and Bron in this story was a pleasure, and the specific complications of their relationship are compelling. The story was very sexy, as well. There are questions that remain unanswered as the book draws to a close, and it did seem to wrap up quite quickly in some ways, but I really, really enjoyed the story. Fans of the Dragon Lords will know this is a must-read volume, but even those new to the series could understand the story, I think. It’s a great addition, and expansion, to the Dragon Lords books, and I cannot wait to see where Pillow takes readers next!

Interesting series with cool ideas. Fun alien scenario and setting! Love a good alien romance! I’m tired of the women insisting that they aren’t really there to be mates, but I still enjoy the read. Aeron and Bron are cute together; they needed more time to develop the relationship, but I liked them together. Good passion. I liked that Aeron was proactive in helping others, and she stands up for herself. I’d say 3.5 for the rating because I wanted more excitement, but rounded to a 4 because the writing is good.
Book 5 in the Dragon Lords – A Qurilixen World Novel. This one is the story of Lord Bron who has seven failed attempts at a marriage ceremony and Aeron who has been tricked by her degenerate sister, into signing up as a prospective bride to the very alpha male aliens she’s trying to rescue. Aeron insists she is not there as a bride so it is up to Bron to convince her. I love these Dragon Lord/Qurilixen stories and the Bride Ceremonies.

Emotional roller-coaster filled with witty and engaging charters, heart racing twists and thrilling turns. A action packed read from beginning to end and so hard to put down.

Another great story in this series is about Aeron and Lord Bron and their romantic adventures was a enjoyable read I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout. Lord Bronislaw High Duke of Draig is disheartening going to another breeding festival. Aeron Grey, civilian analyst for the federation has secured passage on Galaxy Brides to warn Quilixen of an eminent attack from a technologically advanced race. At the Bron’s crystal chooses Aeron and takes her to his tent but because of heighten attractions they consummate which is against the tradition. Bron feeling he dishonored the values he grew up with is now afraid his marriage will be dissolved. Aeron is convinced that she is now doomed and dying because her people are cursed to start dying once intimate. Can Brom convince her they are fated mates and to stay with him and leave her job?
The fifth book in the Dragon Lords series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Human Aeron and Dragon-shifter nobleman Lord Bron’s story there is suspense, drama, danger, a sister in peril, villains, and love. The story has a very good storyline and flowed smoothly across the pages. The story was well worth reading. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
